Laggy after 2.41.709.71 - HTC 10 Questions & Answers

Good day!
Has anyone noticed that their HTC 10 has suddenly become laggy after updating to the latest firmware? I'm on stock. Everything was working fine until I updated. After a day or two of use, the phone became laggy/"stutter-y" to the point if unresponsive. I haven't performed any hard reset yet as I don't want to reinstall a ton of apps and restore their settings. :crying:
I just reset the device to regain control of the phone.

I observed same behavior too

I've just wiped the cache partition. I'll keep you updated.

[Q] S4 mini rebooting very often!

Hi all!
First of all thanks for your work..it's awesome!!thanks to you i enjoyed my s plus until some days ago it has broken..very sad day
However i decided to move on with a more modern cel, so i decided for a s4 mini.
But since the beginning i've had lot of problems..
My phone after an original update from samsung started to freeze and reboot..more and more often..i read it could be an issue with original update so i decided to mod my phone since i've had great improvements with my old s plus..
first i installed cm11 but the phone keep rebooting and rebooting ..so i installed cm12 with android l..but the problem is still here!!
the more my phone became hot the more it reboot..it's unusable and i don't know what to do..i'm also begin to doubt it's a hw problem
my warranty is gone with all this mods..so what to do? any others has this kind of problem?
thanks if yo want to answer
People encountering this should perform a factory reset and wipe everything from the phone.
Then, perform a clean install of whichever rom you wish to use, without any additional apps.
I recently encountered an issue with Apex Launcher and a recent update. Android keep crashing and soft rebooting often.. only after a few days did I realise the launcher was the issue. Since I uninstalled the app the phone hasnt restarted once!
Mine restarts after i turn on Mobile Data + GPS for navigation..
It works for a minute and restarts.
I don't know where the problem is either. I tried to flash cm10, 11.. stock 4.2 / 4.4 and nothing seems to get me rid of the problem

Unexpected Reboots

Hello,
It seems that my G925T has some problems with soft reboots. I don't know exactly what the problem might be, maybe you can help me troubleshot.
So I have followed up all the things a normal user might do like:
soft reset, hard reset, odin stock rom flashing, smart switch disaster recovery, disabling certain apps, going to safe mode, cleaning cache, resetting cache and dalvik, but nothing. Flashing a different custom rom, custom kernel but still problem remains.
Even after following up with all these steps, my phone still reboots unexpectedly while I use it and even i don't use it. An average is that my phone gets these unexpected reboots like everyday. Maybe 3 time a day, or maybe next day. It seems like soft reboot.
For an some addition information my phone is IMEI repair, but everything is fine, i can get updates as i am currently on the official stock ROM.
Currently I am on latest update DOJC.
What do you think it might be the problem ?
Has soft reboots to do with IMEI repair ?
Is there anyway i can troubleshot this ?

Factory reset on a corrupted Android OS?

So about a few years ago, I tried to root my galaxy note 4 (n910aucu2doi3), but I guess it rejected the root because it instantly bricked my phone, to the point where I had to completely wipe it using android recovery. The only way to get my operating system back was to download it online and install it through my PC (I had to find the exact version for my phone as well, 5.1.1 at the time, because it rejected every single other version).
Everything seemed to be working fine, except that I couldn't install software updates on my phone anymore. It was permanently stuck on 5.1.1. It was a bit of an annoyance but I didn't think much of it at the time.
Fast forward to now, and I'm getting several signs that my OS may be corrupted. My phone is constantly freezing, crashing and restarting. Maneuvering through applications causes the phone to freeze for a few seconds before either restarting or crashing the app. I want to say it's definitely a software issue, but I did install a new battery recently and it was working fine for a few weeks, could that be the issue?
If not, I want to start over, but I'm not sure how, and I don't know if it's safe to do a factory reset on this OS. Is there anyway I can get a fresh stock version of an android OS that can also update?
Any help is appreciated, I'm pretty much desperate.
I manually updated to 6.0.1 with the help of this thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4-att/general/updates-thread-t3663943
It seems to have fixed the issues so far, and my phone can automatically update again

Phone broke down on its own.

Hi Friends, installed oreo on my phone and everything was fine. One day the phone suddenly hung up, then started to reset. I installed Cleanrom. The problem persisted in him. The battery was a little swollen, I bought a new battery, and the problems remained.
The phone was reset when entering whatsapp last night and the software was corrupted. When I deleted system / data / cache with Twrp, it gave errors and the phone is no longer available. I came to mind to install kdz, I installed kdz, the phone was fixed. Currently whatsapp installed is still no problem but I can not root phone resets.
Do you think my phone is broken, is there a solution for this? What should I do. Thanks.

Android 12 disaster

My phone recently updated to Android 12. Ever since I have a few problems.
1. Signal says 4g instead of LTE and sometimes doesn't load webpages giving that error with a gray screen.
2. Android auto crashes after being on for 30 seconds.
3. The whole phone crashes and reboots if I use Chromecast
Do a clean load... after a factory reset and see what you got. Be sure all critical data is redundantly backed up... now.
Was hoping not to do a clean wipe but it that's what it takes
One reason I never upgrade firmware that is fast, stable and fulfilling its mission. It's not worth the trouble and wasted time it will cause.
After a major firmware upgrade a factory reset is best practice. Clearing the system cache from boot menu may help.
i always do factory resets after any major OS update on any device. that way you have a fresh out of the box experience .
