[Q] Volue UP + Power button

Out of curiosity, I pressed volume up + power button together. The phone vibrated about 3 times and the amber light went on. After waiting about a minute or so, there's nothing but black screen. I pushed the power button again and nothing happened. I had to remove the battery to make the phone work.
What have I done?

Help my M8 went blank all of a sudden

I used my phone two times after a full charge and then pulled it from my pocket it was non responsive.
I have Android Revolution 32 installed and the latest twrp. The phone is unresponsive and does not charge. The charging LED lights for 1-2 seconds then turns off when plugged in. This has been going on for 3 days now.
I have tried volume up + volume down+ power and get the power indicator to turn on then immediately turn off. I have also tried volume up + power and volume down + power with no response from the device. I have had the device for 6 months and it has worked perfectly untiln this.

Pixel XL not turning on

It was plugged into charger. This morning it wont turn on. When I press power button I see the charging logo come up and it shows fully charged. Pressing down power key for 10-20s, or power + vol up/dn etc also just shoes the logo.
What do I do?
Try holding power volume down for a minute or so.
Hold power + volume up button at same time for at least 30 secs while unplugged from charger.

Question Black screen but still working. How to shutdown phone

Hi,
My Pixel 6 Pro screen went black, but I can still hear and feel that the phone is working. I used the volume up + power button to reboot it and now I touch the phone and I feel it vibrate as it's registering the touches. I also see at the bottom of the screen some white stripes flashing. It seems that the screen is damaged and I need a replacement screen.
Now my issue is that I can't seem to turn it off. As the screen is black, the only way to shut it down would be with hardware keys. But up until now, I haven't been able to figure out a way to turn the phone off.
Does anyone know how I can turn of the phone?
To replace the screen, obviously I need to turn it off first...
Usually long pressing the power button, but it may be different. As long as it gets fixed within a month or so it you can let it discharge until it auto shuts down. If more than a year old replacing the battery when repaired is a good idea anyway...
I tried long pressing the power button with no luck.
I tried volume down + power button for 20 seconds, didn't work either.
I tried volume up + power button for 20 seconds, this I think reboots the phone.

Click to collapse
Power button only might take 20 or so seconds.
Otherwise just like it sit until repaired.
Power button + vol up + vol down. Keep holding down once you feel the phone vibrate. Takes you to the bootloader screen
The battery died.. so that's good!
Thanks anyways
