Hello,
I'm thinking about buying an HTC one M9, but one thing is freaking me out : the camera
It seems like it isn't great at all, but with the update, it seemed to be better.
The problem is, I cannot find infos about the videos after the update. Cause I saw on youtube how M9 videos look like and they were really shaky, it was almost disturbing to watch, and this without talking about the exposure problem
So that's my question : Is the software update fixing or at least improving filming quality ?
And, my other question is : if the problem seems to be software, what if we use another up to capture videos (than the HTC app) ? If you have any video demo of this, I would take it with pleasure
Thanks in advance !
up ?

Does anybody recognised that the camera picture and video quality is worst with newer roms?
With O2 1.13.188 rom the camera works perfect. But If I upgrade the rom with a newer one I get blurry, overflashed pictures and video.
Is there any solution to solve this problem somehow?
I want to upgrade the rom but I want a good quality pictures too.
THX in advance.
yep iv noticed!#also the refresh for video is terrible!
anyone know which rom offeres decent/normal video?
Maybe lots have come across the video playback problems with the HTC Trinity - the annoying green screen instead of the video playback.
I've recently realized that all the problems are caused by the HTC Camera. The video files are being played smoothly until you start the camera.
Upgrading the camera program didn't help. Is there anything I can do to solve this issue?

i think that you must change your software rom ... it must be a codec problem ...
I've tested several roms (WM5 & WM6) - every time the problem is identical - I've never had a ROM with proper video playback. I thought that this is common issue until I realized that the camera software caused it.
I don't understand what do you mean by video files are being played smoothly until you start the camera...
why do you start your camera if you're playing your videos?
No ... I usually don't watch videos while taking pictures
I watch videos ... everything is cool ... then close player ... than start camera ... taking photos etc. ... I close the camera ... if I want to start watching videos again - I can't.
Does anyone have solution?
I had the same problem as you but i never managed to track down what i did differently each time for the green screen, all i knew was that if i watched a video, i knew i would have to restart because otherwise ALL videos would show the green screen. I have solved the problem now by just updating my Coreplayer/TCMP player.
Have you found another cure yet?

I use latest version of both ... this does not solve the problem (at least my problem )
Oh no, i thought that would of fixed it. I guess i havnt used mine enought to discover its still bad. Lets hope someone finds a cure
Thank you in advance
Unfortunately it turns out (this is just my opinion of course) that the cure will be new camera application or new video driver.
Who will do it ... HTC genius engineer stuff ... I don't think so ?
Just think of the problems with TyTn II users and guess when this will happen
hi everyone
here's a post that I have been looking for but I've never found:
I'm on CM 7 which I love so much right now,
but I miss shooting nice videos like I used to do with the Stock rom
so here's a couple of video I found on my hard disk
(please forget about what I was filming (a drunk woman that weakes me up almost each day with her nice growls or spits))
this first one was shoot within cm 7
http://youtu.be/yISvYhldmxI
and you can hear that the audio quality is not really great picture is fine
also the format of the video is a little unsual, and I can't playback them on mac
this second one (same subject) was made on stock rom and you can really tell
how the audio quality is much better (the high end is much more precise)
http://youtu.be/dXUy3iYtmDg
so my question is..
did anyone else noticed this? and do you guys know of any app or fix or cm setting or whatever that might fix this?
Make the videos available for mobile please(youtube)

Hi guys,
I recently bought an LG G4, received it yesterday and got the update to Marshmallow pretty fast.
Today I was experimenting with the camera and I have to say, the picture quality is gorgeous, the videos however are a different story. The 1080p clips are fine but when I record in 4k the framerate for some reason is very low (around 20fps) wich causes terrible videos.
I don't see any option in the camera settings to change the framerate of the video.
Can anyone help?
Thank you in advance,
MoraisGT

Edit: I am really sorry guys, it turns out that there is nothing wrong with the camera. Whenever I open a 4k video recorded with the G4 on my pc the framerate is indeed horrible, but if I skip the video forward a bit it becomes normal. There isn't a problem with the device, just the software on my pc.
Can a moderator delete this thread?
Again I am really sorry

Glad to hear all is ok
Until a moderator will do that maybe you can just change the name of the topic to add something like [False Alarm, not a problem] or something similar Just my 2c
Hi. i just purchased a note 8 pro, for the most part satisfied, however i noticed something when i record 4k videos using the stock camera app. basically the phone cant keep up with the fast camera movements. im not sure if there is a term for this problem, but you can see it in the video below, when i move the phone, the change in the display cannot keep up with the movement. i have to wait for the camera to update and its annoying.. is there a way to fix this, or is it a hardware limitation?
