Hey! I'm about to root my device with towellroot apk (international 32Gb version).. If I install the Xposed Framework and install some modules.. once android L update will be avaible, will I be able to download it OTA?
Because I had a nexus 5 and when I installed Xposed and some modules and once 4.4.3 was avaible.. I unistalled everything and I still couldnt do the OTA update.. It gave me an error during installation and I don't want that to happen again with my new G3...
Thanks!

Most likely you'll need to unroot by installing the stock ROM before updating.

Sorry, I'm still waiting for Sprint to ship me my P_(*^$P() phone!! And since towelroot doesn't work on Sprint, I won't be able to help even then.
Hi,
I have G920PVPU3CPD3(PD3).
I found a thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s6/general/stock-firmware-official-stock-firmware-t3086387
But this is not for MM.
My phone is rooted so it's difficult to OTA, so I just wanted to download the latest MM in odin format.
Can someone please tell me where?
Thanks!

Thanks so much! I was wondering where to get the latest/correct xposed runtime for that, though?
I had been using xposed-v83.0-sdk23-arm64-custom-build-by-wanam-20160423.zip but I understand it's discontinued?

All that I can tell you is this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/unofficial-xposed-samsung-lollipop-t3180960
Version 86.0 is out, up to you to see how it works.
I don't use Xposed myself. Not that I have anything against it, Wanam is a great and respected member of our community, I just don't need or use any modules.
Install PG1, root, install TWRP, get things to your liking, then make a backup. Try the latest Xposed and if things get wonky, revert to your backup.
EDIT: And of course @Saafir beats me to the post.
Is anyone using this one?
xposed-v86.1.T2-sdk23-arm64-custom-build-by-wanam-20160901.zip
with success with this latest PF1?

Anyone here using substratum on Mi A1 ? How it goes ? Feel free to share ur experience
substratum works after installing the magisk module systemless substratum. However it seems that when u install themes. the overlays are written to the system (My own experience). This results in being recognized as tampered system and in turn fails on OTA

its not exactly sad u get to know things when u do them and when u fall in a pit u can help others to avoid them
U can always flash stock rom to regularize things ( I hope, havent tried yet. Planned on coming Sunday )
I have read some themes result in bootloop and mi A1 nougat is not compatible with substratum. Can you please share which themes you tried and are working

i dont think it is compatible as it is. i never tried themes without the aforementioned module because i am 99% sure it wouldnt work otherwise since the stock rom is not oms. and yes incompatible themes do result in bootloop.

dont know about lone4subs but i used 'ice' and 'swift dark' without any issue. However i would not recommend using any, not for fear of bootloop but because it messes with the system and u cant use OTA.
I have just finished updating to december patch for witch i had to first flash November rom.
And now every time i reboot my phone it declares: 'your system can not be checked for software corruption. please lock your bootloader

Lol this is becoz of your bootloader is unlocked since you mentioned 'swift dark' theme i would like to give it a try too
Edit:can u show ur your phone screenshot with swift dark theme? I would like to see
Android Oreo has inbuilt substratum theme support. But u need a PC nearby and a app called Andromeda. It works perfectly fine but u will need ur PC when changing or applying themes. No bootlopes or anything. I use it myself. Check screenshot.

No not at all. This method doesn't involve root or unlocking bootloader hence ota will be received as usual.
I have successfully received January patch after applying themes.

I would really like to see devs work on this one. I ended up getting this phone because i was a few bucks short of getting the V40. Having the Hi-Fi audio DAC really makes music sound better.
But honestly it's not even close to competing with V4A. Which i guess now i know for sure, i NEED this on my phone.
I would love to root my phone one day just for that. As long as it's stable and works good for that (And preferably Magisk and Adaway as well..) I need it done.
Hi I am interested in this service. I will be buying one in a few days and would like to have this service done. Can anyone pm me? Seems I can't.

haha he is 100% legit and a nice guy. out of Vietnam I believe.IF i need to i have plenty of screenshots and also video of the entire process however teamviewer is needed for him to do it. have ADB and drivers installed already. and have the firmware both oreo and Pie downloaded before starting with him. He uses a Octoplus Pro box and hooked me up. Very fair $20 for permanent Bootloader Unlock. I mean common.... great deal. GaihPhapAndroid. PM if any Questions.

Hey ill post to the same V35 forum here on xda now with a fresh thread. Hope it serves you well just MAKE SURE you are Bootloader unlocked and know how to patch the firmwear. (its not hard search on google or youtube.) Can ONLY use TWRP & Magisk on 8.0 oreo. Just Magisk on 9.0 Pie, no TWRP. Enjoy my friend!

Don't root. Not worth the risk and effort. GCam does not work no matter you root or not.

lol i wanted opinions, specifically people who rooted their a50.
I dont see many roms tho :/
I always root my mobile phones. For example to use macrodroid and soms apps that use root.
Can anyone recommend what rom I should get?
So is it true, that you lose root after rebooting? I dont want to root if thats the case
