LineageOS downloads not working - LineageOS Questions & Answers

I am trying to download the latest LineageOS build for the OnePlus 2, but every time I try downloading it fails almost instantly. I've tried downloading it though the update menu on my phone and also tried downloading directly from their site, but both fail to download. Is anyone else having this issue?

Last build was so broken it was deleted. Wait a couple days, at least.

Am I in Trouble - MM update

I tried to sideload the update a few days ago and set my phone into a boot loop.i was able to use Odin and flash it back to 5.1.1 but now I am unable to install the security update that is available. I've tried to install it 3-4 times so far but after my phone restarts and says it is installing it quits once it gets to 25% and boots as normal. Then it comes up with a message that the install was interrupted. So I don't know what's going on with this update as I'm on a good wifi connection.
I tried again on a different network and when it got to installing 25% it gave me an install failed error once again.
Am I going to have the same issue when AT&T pushes out MM?

If I recall correctly from the Android Central thread, you had to odin reflash after an unsuccessful adb sideload attempt, like myself. The instructions in the firmware thread were to use only the AP file in odin. That's not correct, you have to use the AP,BL,CP, and CSC files to completely restore the official ATT firmware.
The same thing happened to me. The OTA failed at 25% many times. After reflashing using all the correct files,
I successfully received the OTA. I also had discrepancies in my settings which were resolved by this.
I'm not sure if that's what you did also, but if so reflashing as indicated above should have you back on track. Hope that helps!
Thanks, I'll try that because I only used the AP file in Odin.
I can't find a firmware any longer.
Never mind I got it.

I think I don't have enough posts to put a link here, but look at the thread on Android Central where you posted about
reflashing. The post from Golfdriver 97 has the link to the firmware thread on here. Just download and extract the four files and then load in Odin.

I'll try anyway to post the link. http://forum.xda-developers.com/att-galaxy-note5/general/note-5-marshmallow-odin-package-t3331843 that's the correct firmware that you used. Skip the word "marshmallow" in the title , it's lollipop.
Thanks that's exactly where I found it and you were exactly correct. I pointed all 4 of the blocks to those files and it worked like a charm. The patch update from AT&T just finished downloading so I feel good about my phone being back in working order and ready for whenever MM if finally released.
Thanks Again!

Well, i decided since my firmware was no longer seen as modified, giving a system 7 error, I would try to sideload again.
I sideloaded the PE6 firmware from linux, and this time it worked like a charm! Marshmallow at last.

How did you update?
Did you get the update normally? I used a VPN to get it since it was not yet being offered directly. And now I have this bug as well. So I wanted to see if it's happening to everyone or just people who updated with a VPN.

It's not about how you updated, it's because of the used build which is the same like the first released beta build.

That's kind of the point of my question. Did me using vpn somewhy cause me to get the beta build for some strange reason or a mistake on their end? or is this build being OTA'd normally to other people as a stable update in some regions?

has anyone tested this?

What are your thoughts? does it boot for you too? I work on a lot of stuff for various devices in the background and behind the scenes..
Just curious if other people are having success with some of my projects as well.

Hey brother,
just seen your RR-Rom on AFH and found this thread. I will try in a bit to see if it is booting. Thanks for for this...
EDIT: forgot to ask, i assume this is built on faygi's LoS build? I am downloading now to test. RR is my favorite and glad to see this...

Yes, it's built with the same trees and dependencies so expect the same device side bugs.
I also built XenonHD pie but I accidentally set it to only include common.mk which resulted in missing latinIME (aosp keyboard).
I totally spaced out and forgot that common_full_phone.mk inherits common_full and common_full.mk inherits common.mk ?
I'll recompile XenonHD tonight with the fix tonight and make a thread for it on this forum as long as someone else doesn't already have plans to maintain it.
@AnierinB,
OK, i just installed the ROM and it would not boot. I wipe and factory reset, not boot. Then i wiped, factory reset and FORMATED data, still no boot. I only tried to install and boot without any gapps, ROM only. Not sure. I get to the RR logo and it tries to boot for about 2-3 minutes then re-boots back to TWRP.
Also, i found your HAVOC-OS build, i think it was yours anyway, if i remember correctly. I tried as above with HAVOC-OS and had the same result. The only thing i have not tried is to RUU back to the latest OREO build, then install the ROM(S). If there is anything i can do to assist in trouble shooting let me know, and i can re-install later today and get the log, or whatever is needed for ya! I use my phone for work so i can't go long during the day with service.

Interesting, I'll have to take a look when I get off work tonight. I apologise for that. XenonHD is still planned as it works flawlessly with no boot issues

Noted and Tahanks.
Also, I would like to give XENON-HD a try but i do not see it on AFH any longer. I saw it the other day when i seen the HAVOC upload, but was uncertain as to what android flavor it was and could not find any posts anywhere about it so i passed on it. If you could provide a link to XENON-HD i would be happy to give it a test run.

I have to recompile it tonight with the keyboard fix. I already have all the source on @holofractals server so when I get off work I'll get right on that. The previous build was deleted from Android file host because of the missing aosp keyboard.

Try the latest build. I compiled two last night and they retained the same package name since the date was the same. I deleted the previous one in favor of the new one so download everything from the links in xenonhd thread (mindthegapps, and ROM). advance wipe everything in TWRP before flashing so make a backup prior and store it on sdcard or PC

Hopefully we will get it back with Android 10. I'm using superior os 10 till we get it.. so far it works pretty nicely.
Also got the update. The size looks ok for a simple security patch and minor fixes so nothing major.
Phone starts ok, no problems so far.
This is the first update that no one is complaining about yet... so it's a change in the right direction for the Xiaomi OTAs.
Xiaomi Mi A2 users (they got it 3 days earlier) said that it even works fine with Magisk.
I had 2 odd things happen as a result of installing this OTA.
1) USB Debugging was turned off. No other developer things seem to have changed, just that toggle was off.
2) My timezone was changed. Almost like the phone temporarily forgot I didn't want to use network-provided timezone (it often picks the neighbouring state, which has a 1-hour offset from here).
I've never had this happen with previous OTAs.

My dad didn't have this issue. Make sure it isn't your network provider having this problem
If you don't enroll your fingerprint before updating to v 10.0.16 ,you can't do it after the update

Hello, if someone is experiencing the same problem, I resolved it flashing the official stock rom with Miflash tool. Cheers
This update has definitely done something to the signal mine is falling onto 2G a lot, before that I was steady on 4G. Once it hits 2G it stays on it regardless of the signal strength until you restart the phone. It is very annoying.
After this update recent apps not working anymore. All apps are closing immediately, not minimizing. Does someone having the same issue?
Getting permanent SD card issues - "integrity check" notification after each unlock or even "incompatible card" message from time to time. Anyone else with this?

My multitasking seems to be very bad after the update...
Hello,
I have Mi A2 lite with magisk installed, and I am unable to perform the november OTA update.
here is what I do:
1. In magisk : Uninstall > restore images
After doing this, magisk still looks the same:
2. Launch the OTA update.
I first have this screen:
red message translation: "Install will resume when the phone is not active. Click on resume to finish installation now"
3. Clicking on resume will start the installation, but it fails after some moment:
4. After that, I go back to Magisk: Install > Direst install to avoid having Magisk uninstalled after reboot. When doing this, here is the screen:
I don't understand why my OTA is refused...
Is there something to setup in magisk hide ? In order to hide magisk from the OTA updater ? or anything else ?

The upgrade tool writes a log to logcat. It says which partition it does not like.
adb logcat | grep update_engine
There have been no fastboot image released for 10.0.15.0. I have backups of both system and vendor (since they both seem to be modified every OTA for me). If you can confirm that either of these is needed I can try to upload it somewhere. Note that these are very large partitions.
Alternatively, you could use the 10.0.13.0 fastboot and OTA from there. Make sure to backup data before doing this.
