I have two MotoZ flashed with the actuel nightly.
Both have now the same MAC Adress.
I allready heard from this problem with duplicated MAC Adresses with cyanogen.

A solution could be to use a custom kernel until they get the updated driver that they wait on.
Turbo Z, Elemental X or Vision Z.

I took Elemental X without looking for the differences between the three kernels. It's working now!
While flashing from time to time a new nightly of LineageOS hopefully I will work sometimes and I don't have to flash additionally a second Kernel.
Thank's for the fast soulution and your help!

Herro all!
If my research serves me right, HTC has yet to release the source code for the kernel used in the Desire Z. I've tried compiling a kernel from Cyanogen's repo https://github.com/CyanogenMod/htc-kernel-vision but it doesn't boot. I pulled the config from the stock ROM and disabled some (supposedly) unnecessary drivers so that it would compile.
Does anyone have working kernel sources for Sense ROMs? I hope to make this thread a unified effort to fix the available sources.
That's odd. It should work on both. My kernel boots fine on the stock sense rom. And if you look at developer.htc.com the only kernel source released is the desire Z, the G2 has the source of all system files

You're probably running into the same issue I did when i started building Vision kernels. The base offset is different for these boot images, it needs to be 0x04000000.

I second this request.. I was able to compile for my G1 and ever since I got my G2 I have been unable to get it to work... It has to be something that I am doing wrong but I can't figure it out.
a TUT and thread for support would be great!

Thanks for your time.

Im currently using Rom Revolution HD 7.2 with no problems so far. When tryng to update to 8.1 some wifi problems started, so when 9.0 was released the problem persist.
The wifi connection resets it self and/or loose connection, so i loose all conectivity capacities when wifi is on.
I tried reinstalling several times, with de same results. So finally im back on 7.2 ... ( with the normal sense lag of this version...)
Any advise? Now has been released the 9.1v , but the changelod dosn´t say anything about wifi.
Hope you can help me.
Cheers
sg4_. I do not have any problem with this ROM.

I know, the most of people do not have any problems too, but i saw a user posting the exact same problem than me. I can´t replied to him, because my account is too recently created
But for sure it was a rom problem, i never had before wifi problems. Using stock and HD 7.2 rom..
Did you follow all the instructions (i.e: run super wipe script , flash the correct boot.img etc..) ? I was on 8.1 and now on 9.0.0, didn’t have any WiFi issues on either of them.
I follow all the instructions when installing from stock to 7.2 .
From 7.2 to 8.1 and 9 i try wiping cache, data and delvik only.
Its necesary to flash again the boot.img?

Of course you have to !!!! the kernel is in the boot.img ! Next time follow all the install instructions when flashing a ROM. If some steps can be skipped then the dev will mention them in install instructions. Flashing the boot.img is a must for any new ROM.
Oh crap!
Il do it right now and post the results xD

Do you mean the post from tjturko13 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1823575 ?
Yeah, please post us the solution - hope the kernel update works for you
PS. I've also updated without any wipe (but boot.img 9.x.x of course ) and all seems to work fine.

Solved!... I didnt use de boot.img thinking that was not necessary coming from the same rom... my mistake by assuming..:banghead:

As the title says, adb is not working while the phone is booting. Atleast i cannot get it to work.
As you know, i allready ported few miui roms, so now i wanted to rebase the rom to the latest htc firmware 3.17.
The problem is that i need to get the logcat while phone stays in bootlop, to see what is going on with it and fix the problem. Since 3.14 base I am not able to pull the logcat with ''adb logcat'' command, it just stays on ''waiting for device''.
Does anyone have any idea how to fix that?

I have had this problem in a few ROMs. i usually sort it by pushing logcat from a known working ROM to /system/bin/logcat
Actually come to think about it. Its only ever been miui ROMs that it has ever failed to show logcats

i don´t have the problem when i installed another custom-rom on my hox!!!

The problem may be caused by TriNDroid kernel...
There are some in-call audio issues with that kernel

In this moment, only trip's kenrel support underclock because htc doesn't release source code yet.
htc one x+renovate!!!
ok,then i will flash the final1-rom included kernel.
can i do this in fastboot,or will i have to do it in another way?
i ask because i flashed the kernel-modules for the tripndroid-kernel via cwm !!!

I think you have to flash the kernel from fastboot
Hi all, i flashed my One X to CM 10.1 Nightly, but the battery drain is awfull. I tried to flash it with the franco kernel but that made my phone stuck in BOOT. I heard of a Semaphore kernel, but i cant find one for the One X only for the Nexus 4 and SIII.....any ideas anyone
Only use aosp based kernels, and kernels for JB roms......franco/faux kernels are for ICS based roms ! Not gonna work
Try XM kernel
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2136731
Yes xm kernel was the best for me in cm 10.1 roms with battery but with seadrsn rom

What does aosp based mean??
Senseless roms based on pure Google source.
aosp stands for android open source project. Mostly means that there is no HTC sense shell added
So when you are on CM10.1 you need the aosp version of the xm kernel if you wish to try that.

Ok, i am clueless...lol
I read the thread (not all but the topic itself) It seems i need to repack something...hmmm difficult.
And what version should i use Senseless or aosp? Damn abbreviations, is there is list of those and what they mean?

That will be the kernel modules or the boot.IMG you flashed.
I would suggest using the snapshot rather than nightly.
