Click to collapse
Go to the settings (WM settings, not TF3D settings) and find the calibration for the G-Sensor.. Do the 'bubbles' move when you move the phone? Maybe it just needs calibration. If they don't move at all, maybe your sensor isn't working.
from what it sounds like i think maybe you are refering to htc sense 2.5/touch flo 2.5 which ever one you called it.
but if that is the case you will have to flash to a htc sense 2.5 rom
or you can always edit your reg. to make your tp2 rotate on all screens
i tried it it works fine but it can get annoying after a while
thanks a lot friends, I did edit the registry and there it goes.. done..

Screen alignment on Desire

Not sure if its a bit stupid question, but does Amoled screens need screen alignment as WinMo phones?
I had to align the screen on my Compact IV couple times, and now on Desire Im not always sure the touch is exactly recorded where it should be.
Hey. I'm not sure if they need calibration but I always miss things on my screen. it might just be that I'm used to a less sensitive screen and I'm making initial contact before I intend to click if that makes sense.
You can calibrate your keyboard if you go to settings/language & keyboard/touch input/text input/calibration tool. Im not sure if this calibrates your whole screen or just the keyboard app on it. Hope this helps.
There is no way to calibrate a capacitive touch screen. They don't need to be calibrated due to their design. The keyboar "calibration" is just so the keyboard can get used to the way you type for auto correction.
Hey guys,
I am new to android and HTC Desire so bear with me. I just got a Desire from Softbank (i am in japan) and there is no calibration options at all. Settings->Language and keyboard has two options: 1. Select locale (i can choose between Japanese and English); 2. iWnn IME (this i guess is the software keyboard for Japanese models).
I also feel like my touches are not registered where they should be (it might be because of my large, fleshy thumbs who knows) so i wanted to see if I can do something about it.
Is there a way to install other keyboards and calibrate them? are there any good free keyboards or is there a place i can install other HTC default keyboards from?
Thanks
slyn4ice,
You should have "touch input" in "language and keyboard", then from the former go to "text input" and then finally "calibration tool".
For other keyboards you can try the popular "swype"

[Q] Touch Response Settings

Does anyone know how to change the touch response settings?
The touch response right now requires me to be almost exactly accurate when using the virtual keyboard. I want to change this. It all started when I downloaded Launcher Pro. I know I can uninstall the app, but this app has super smooth scrolling and everything and I don't want to lose that.
It's not really an "issue" it's more like I want to just adjust the sensitivity of the touch screen.
Any light on this would help a lot.
Thanks!

[Q] Cyanogenmod & touch panel issues

I would like to ask if any of you have any problems with the touch panel? I tried many versions of cyanogenmod and I always had problems with writing (especially with the letter "p" and its surroundings) and scrolling (from right to left). I have no problems on any other ROMs(like Wildpuzzle, jokerdroid etc), only with cyanogenmod(and cm based roms). Have you noticed this problem or is it just for me?
Just you? Everything acts like they should in my case. (I use the HTC keyboard though, but, scrolls are normal in any case)
Can you tell me what touch panel do you have?( i have SYN3KY_01 )
Yes even I have the same panel. Besides, it's logically not possible for a ROM to mess up a part of a touch screen. The only exception is when you install a lower version of RUU over a higher version, but, even that case, the entire touch panel (soft-)fails.
I have the same problem with the right side of the screen.
