i don't think it'll work on LP, the G4+ original Firmware is MM, so the app have a different SDK than LP, it require it to be specifically be ported to LP , i don't think this port has that, i think it's only for MM
it's stated on the original post that the port is only for MM or newer.

S8 has soft navigation bar
As you can see in screenshots doesn't have any navigation bar

of course crashed because touchwiz home is not supported on any aosp rom, it's only supports Samsung Touchwiz based rom.:silly:

Zero Camera Dev is yet to support the latest 8.5 version of Samsung Camera which is used here. So not yet. It the Zero Dev updates his camera then yes It can

If you wanna go rootless, then you'll have to wait for Android Pie to come out in october or November as it'll have these features. For now Rootless isnt possible

There is no reason it can't be done rootless using magisk. I guess I'll put together a zip to try it
