Notice
This mod will fix "Plug & Pop" FC and you can see again bottom animation on your device. This is the one and only thing it does.
I have international D802, but I think it should work on all variants. Any feedback is welcomed. Enjoy!
If you don't want to use Xposed Framework, you might want to give a try to @xdabbeb apk version here.

I don't have such issue. First what I got in mind is that your cable have broken data wires, so it allow only charging. Can you manually change it to MTP connection in settings and it work?

Yeah, he should check that cable. I'm using few different data cables and no problem here.
This LG Plug & Pop tool show animation when:
USB data cable
Headphones
Dock station
are plugged in. After that bottom animation finished, it call other related application activity. So issue lays in Settings App, why that selections are not shown.
Tyvm, working great. Wish u all the best.?

You mean my mod doesn't fix it for GMD? You still get that FC message?
I am using it with GMD, does the job perfectly. (I his my nav bar and used edge gestures in place of buttons)
Thanks so much dev!! I previously resorted to setting the nav bar height to 1% but that created a lot of problems.
Do you happen to have a fix for double tap on the clock quick window widget? After I disabled the stock player, double tapping on the clock doesn't turn it off but double tapping on the weather one does :/

Thanks for feedback. Good to know that it work with GMD as I think it should.
I stop using quick window feature as I don't prefer that case.

You can post your quick view issue in own thread, either here or in [Q&A]. I don't want to promise anything, but maybe I could have a look.
So let's discuss it somewhere else.
Installed and working perfectly on VS980 (Verizon). Also works with LMT without issue. Thanks for this!!
Forgive my ignorance, but does this only work if you completely remove nav bar? I just shrunk mine by 20% and get plug n play close. Will this work for me? Or is that a feature that could be added?
Hello!
If you've had trouble getting notification fingerprint gestures to work with Android Oreo, my app may be able to help you out.
It let's you map gestures to the fingerprint sensor for brightness, and keeps the notification pull down gesture.
It's a free app with banner ads at the bottom of the settings screen only. There's an optional one time in app purchase to enable double swipes and adding a dark screen dimmer to lower brightness further.
Please let me know what you think!
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tunjid.fingergestures
Works like a charm with Oreo update, thanks!
Wow , your app is great. Thank you !

That's odd. It's likely Google Play Services bound to the app and didn't unbind, it happens sometimes. Please restart your phone, the issue should go away.

It'll allow OP6T users to enable the hidden AOD option in Settings/Display/Ambient Display
Disclaimer : I'm not responsible for any damage to your device.
Its a very basic mod, there are no additional features, just enabled the hardcoded AOD in android.
We'll refine it further by inputs from you guys!
Download : DRIVE
Removing the mod may result in a bootloop, delete /data/resource-cache via TWRP to fix the bootloop.
Instructions :
Just download the mod and flash it via magisk.
However users have reported problems while uninstalling it, as it does use OMS overlays it may cause bootloop in OOS roms after uninstalling it. Flash this and it'll fix the issue.
I would suggest users to just disable it in the settings instead of uninstalling the module
This mod was not possible without the help from testers

hmm will this enable fingerprint sensor to be always on? - unlocking using finger print would not need to power on screen?

Yes, a user has reported that fingerprint icon remains on AOD.

thanks, works fine for me.
edit: i deactivated it...
got some security issues:
when screen is locked and AOD active: if i touch the FPS with a non saved finger it shows the homescreen while scanning the finger. it fails to unlock and gets back to AOD lockscreen. but it's a huge issue for me that it shows the homescreen while scanning.
I can happily say it works perfectly... Thanks.
When I get root, this is a mod I'm going to add.. Great work.

Very good, the time position seems to be unable to move by myself
Not recommended to flash.
It enables aod but there are trade offs..
1. you have security issues, your homescreen is visible from lockscreen if you try with wrong finger.
2. even if u disable in settings u cant get the oneplus ambient display back.
Still its v1, there are improvements needed in above issues .
question?
can i flash the bootloop fix zip via adb?? to remove this module and fix bootloop issue?? because i dont have twrp..

Have anyone noticed any significant battery hit due to this mod?
Ok so a quick update, the OPAod apk is present but the always on feature is removed, maybe adding this in the aod_settings will enable the always on switch?
Code:
<com.oneplus.settings.AodSwitchPreference android:icon="@drawable/empty" android:persistent="false" android:title="@string/oneplus_aod_mode_always_on" android:key="aod_always_on_switch" android:singleLineTitle="false" />
EDIT : Can someone try this out : DRIVE
To use it you will have to completely uninstall v1. Flashing it on v1 will result in a bootloop.
Also you don't need to flash the bootloop fix to uninstall v2, just disable or delete it from magisk.

acervenky

Tried it. This version doesn't even let you open Ambient Display to get to the settings to turn it on unfortunately. Clicking on Ambient Display does nothing at all.

When turning off the screen it acts just like the standard Ambient display with a few exceptions. Tap to show no longer works. Pickup works but the status bar is not "blacked out" like it should be, I can see my wallpaper underneath the status bar but the rest of the screen is black and shows the ambient display (time, notifications, etc.).
Unable to apply boot. . .

Like he's said in a previous post. It works when you pick up the phone. However, it does show the status bar and you can't go into the Ambient Display settings. Thankfully, when you don't place the correct fingerprint on it then it defaults to the lockscreen saying your fingerprint isn't recognized.
Overall, besides the status bar and only having lift to wake, I'm very impressed.
Edit: Just disabling the Magisk module works to renable the default Ambient Display. Very nice!!

Many people(including me) have an issue with the notch not being able to display 5 status bar icons (e.g: Bluetooth, Wifi, Dual Sim Mobile Signals, Battery percentage). The magisk module kills the notch completely.
The screen will function like a Oneplus 7 Pro( Notchless ) with a camera as a overlay on the screen.
This will also solve the full screen issue on certain apps like PUBG MOBILE. All apps will work in full screen mode as default. No need to toggle it in Settings.
Module(No longer works) :
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1aZ9TdhVtQyuGe5hUlzNVUfbssR9OP1yw/view?usp=drivesdk
[USE G-VISUAL MOD] available on Magisk Download section. Notch Killer is integrated in that module.
After flashing the module and rebooting the phone, here how you'll need to enable it:
You'll need to go to
Developer option
> Simulate a display with a cutout
> choose Notch Killer
Done!! You can go back to default display by simply choosing the "None" option instead of "Notch Killer".
You can watch this video and follow the instructions:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_dZZZwJO1c0
No notch killer option available after flashing the module.

Hi all,
I am using Android 10 GSI as a daily driver and i menaged to fix almost all bugs that were bothering me, except one...
Please check the screenshot, and you will see this ROM has a weird, out of place setting for "phh Treble Settings", and it is not correct size, icon, or anything.
Can i somehow remove it alltogather, or just move it all the way to the bottom? Its mocking me everytime i open settings and it's driving me nuts
I am ofc rooted, open to any suggestions. Thanks!

When you click on that icon ,you can turn on some ambient display functions ,and you can use some fixes ,if you have some problems with apps ,it might get fixed in the next build,

They enable pocket ambient display mode and proximity wake (that option works when you wave your hand close to the proximity sensor ,while your phone is on a flat surface.
The other tweaks are when you have problems with apps in full screen mode and other stuff ,but mostly i use the two options for ambient display
