Yesterday I manually flashed my Nexus 5X with Android Oreo image from official website. It flashed successfully with no errors. But I am missing a lot of essential Oreo features like:
Notification Dots
Long Click Icon to see notifications
PIP Mode for YouTube
I don't know I missed something or what but right now feeling pretty disappointed as I don't even like this new light grey theme in Quick Settings but we have to bear with it. As of above missing features, guide me if you can.

I agree with you about the missing features. Look like Google just make an empty update. I hope they will have those features running when Android Oreo update go official. I can help you with PIP mode active manually.
You can use this link (https://www.xda-developers.com/nav-...ck-nougat-all-along-and-it-never-needed-root/), follow section Custom Navigation Bar to have it in your phone. Then you can set up the Extra left/right button with keycode 'Manual input' - '171' (or select 'Window').

The first two features are Pixel launcher exclusive features. Your 5X comes with Google Now launcher.
Nexus 5X with Android Oreo
I cannot find the gmail notification tones for each labels.
Activating labels is not the problem, but there is always the standard ring.
Latest gmail-app installed, but no chance to change the label tones
Nexus5X with "old" nougat - no problem.

I do see the option of enabling Notification Dots in Launcher settings and Notification settings as well. I have enabled them but still not working.
I think those features are available for Nexus as well. Maybe it's just this update that lacks some features.

Are you sure you are using stock GNL? I do not have the settings option to enable notification dots.
Can you share screenshot of the settings menu?

I downloaded the official flash files from Oreo download page and flash with that flash-all.sh script file.
And yes I am using stock GNL. The one came pre-installed in this Oreo build.

I have these. But these are not Launcher settings.
Download Pixel Launcher from apkmirror and install it as a system app. Then you will get notification dots.
Like I said above, Google Now Launcher does not support notification dots.

Unlocking bootloader to root and install as system app will stop OTA updates and right now I don't want that. Seems like I am stuck with it.

Yes. You can extract the factory image zip and flash bootloader, radio (optional and only if different from last months update).
Then flash system & Vendor.
No need to wipe anything.
But you may have to root and install pixel launcher as system app again.
Easy option is to install a 3rd party app like Nova or Action, with a paid version to get all the features.
Action is very similar to pixel launcher.

I think I read somewhere that unlocking bootloader or modifying system partition stops OTAs.
And for that essential part, I meant the features I was waiting for. Sorry if it doesn't feels right.

Yes, this works! I do however use Action Launcher now with Oreo, since Google Now Launcher does not support notification dots and Pixel launcher won’t update through play store. Weirdly WhatsApp does not get it’s dot in either action or pixel launcher. Other apps work fine. Dots are on for whatsapp, just not getting them.

I installed the DN3 v5, upgraded from DN3 RC2 actually, on my SGN2 GT-N7100.
I evaluated the DN3 v5, really cool ROM, lots of features, really nice ROM from teamElectron
I've evaluated the ROM, no big issues, but found some bugs, as listed:
1. Higher RAM usage! its 55 now!, without opening any apps, when start using the phone, can go up to 87!..compared to DN3 RC2 (45min - 65max) or Stock 4.3 ROM (48 - 65).
2. Air gestures still don't work except quick glance.
3. Cannot charge when phone is off, as plug charger it switch on the phone, instead of showing the animated battery icon.
4. Battery now last for about 24hr instead of 32hrs.
5. From home screen option, if choose 'card stack or no animation' from transition effects, touchwiz does respond.
6. The notification panel, sometimes is black and sometimes teal when pulled.
BTW, wished to have note3 or s5 music player and camera on this ROM, is it possible?
For now, using google camera!
Thats all I found for now.. If anyone has solutions for these issues do let me know pls. :fingers-crossed:

Yes, it works, design is nice, features are also present, but while changing the EQ from preset, No change was heared..

As of Now thats the problem everyone faces and soon there will be a fix but until then you can use viper for android its a music mod and it has more options to customise sound than the stock music player provides and its great :good: heres the link.. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2191223

Try "device info" from play store to know your bootloader version.
Do take note that bootloaders later than MJ5 is knox enabled.

ya page buddy was integral in samsungs 4.1.2 and 4.3 framework but its removed in 4.4 as far is know im sure someone will find a way around

One needs seclauncher 2 to have the pagebuddy back since the launcher on DN3 V5 is S5 launcher.Below are the links for seclauncher 2 thanks @haybill for uploading it and @smeet.somaiya for figuring it out

if you, like me, prefer the Motorola camera and gallery apps over the AOSP ones on custom ROMs, then you might've been as upset as me when Motorola updated the apps to Material design but kept the old icons on Lollipop.
So here's my attempt to fix this, ready for flashing on CM12
This MIGHT also work on stock lollipop but make sure to delete the MotoCamera2 and MotoGallery2 (or whatever they're called, I'm not using stock) folders in /system/app before flashing, since I'm not sure they'll be replaced.
I simply took the icons from the Internet (AOSP version) or from a Gapps package (Google version) and replaced them in the apps' apk files.
INSTRUCTIONS:
Download the file on your phone (DUH?)
Reboot to recovery
Flash it (DUH?)
???
Profit!
If you want advanced settings (the ladybug icon) to be unlocked edit the build.prop's line "ro.build.tags" from "release-keys" to "test-keys".

They work fine in 4.4...
I don't know if its required but I took them out of their folders and just placed in system/app/

I recently converted my XT1032 to GPE and installed the 5.0.1 OTA, do you think these two apps will work if I install them manually as system apps?

Well I'm no expert, just tested them on my xt1031 running cm11 and reported for others...
Not so sure about GPE... I want 5.0 too but not sure if I can convert mine. I did try testing the soak test and they worked fine on that of course. But I had to go back to cm11 due to no network.
All I can say is take the risk and try it... I'd say try flashing the OPs zip since they're organized the Lollipop way, and also contain the libs which you may need in order to run on GPE...
Backup before in case they dont. Good luck if they do work then report for others

You're right, maybe I should just try... The problem, however, is that there's still no working recovery for GPE 5.0.1, so I don't really know how to make a backup :crying: ... I might try the APKs with no libraries first, and maybe I'll try the zip when there's an available recovery.

Wow, thanks for all that info!!! I decided to go on a limb and try Philz (the one I like the most) made my backup and flashed the zip. The camera showed up and everything, but the gallery is nowhere to be found ... I checked using my root explorer and found the MotoGallery folder inside system but still the app is not on the menu and it's not usable.
Do you guys have any idea why this might be?

You can delete apps from /system/app like Play Books, News and Weather, Play Movies, all of the apps you can install from Play Store, but you have to be rooted

You probably have no free space as well, you can check with Root Explorer or Partitions info or any app that lets you check system
Will they be updated from play store or do you need to make a new zip everytime a new version comes out? Thinking about flashing this on my gpe 5.0.1
This is Game Launcher + Tools port from S7 for our belove Tab S2 (T710/T810). I will try to keep it update as long as I have this device.

Working UNROOTED!
So I used an apk extractor and got the game launcher, game tools and a few other apks from my S7. I installed them on my just-unboxed TS2 and BAM! Game tools and game launcher are working! Only a small graphical error in game launcher where the apps aren't inside the box. Besides that, it works UNROOTED!
I extracted the apks from the first post and installed the home and tools without root. The system works but as noted previously the icons dont stay within the box of the home launcher window. Works great though.

Hi there, I've installed it on my T715 and it works too, except for the function that I wanted : Recording the screen
It says "Error due to the device" (Or something similar since it's in french ), has anyone tried the screen recorder ? I think that's because maybe the screen is in 4/3 ratio and the screen recorder has only 16/9 ratio in the settings ...

By now you must have received the update, and it's not marshmallow!
Official marshmallow update will come only by July end or August...so stay tuned for the official Marshmallow 6.0, eUI 6.0 update!
Well I was assuming that we will get marshmallow after this leak.
It's amazing how some people like to add one plus one and get five, there is no mention of marshmallow or 6.0 in part B of the last answer. It plainly says that after the update "Live App" will be visible nothing more. There is/was as much chance of it being a marshmallow update as there is/was of it giving people an invisible pink unicorn. Also, some anonymous beta tester leaking a test build for a distant future update (based on the quality of the leaked ROM we could be months away from its release) has no bearing on the company's official decisions and actions.

Hello, I'm using your rom, I have a problem when I try to make a call I do not have an interface that is calling but if the call comes to the other phone but I can not hang up and when they call me they do not show me an interface to answer or do Anything else but in the end shows me a missed call

I am experiencing that as well. no way to tell if call is going through. Also "notice flash" in the system settings is in the russian language. Another complaint is that the system animations are too slow, which I fixed in the developer settings. There was also a dialog in russian when the phone first booted, couldn't read it but it eventually went away and proceeded to the setup wizard. Used Build.prop editor to change locale language to english. rebooting now.

I hope and in the following versions improve those problems, regarding the animations to me do not go so slow I put in .5 in the options developer, wait for the next version to improve the rom since it seems good project
TWRP 3.1 ....- 3.0.2 ... do not allow to pass to the desktop, normally only TWRP 3.0.0.1 from Unjustified Dev works, sorry for bad English.

Hello, with that zip resolves the problem of the calls and the animations are removed and only the stock remain?
Or should I just go to the configuration and choose by default the phone as an application?
