We Love new ROM, we love the z1..
Many2 Thanks for your support,bro
The rom works well except for selinux being enforcing and blocking the functionality of many apps such as Magisk(crashes when checking su settings) and Adaway.
Camera is still not as good as stock...
Does this requires unlocked bootloader ?

SELinux enforcing does NOT cause your issues. Magisk works fine on my end, no crashes. I haven't tested adaway, but root apps should work without issues, even with SELinux enforcing.
No custom ROM camera will ever be as good as stock. If you would have done your research, you'd know the stock camera is as good as it is because of Sony's post processing, which you lose when you unlock your bootloader. Don't expect any custom ROM with that quality.

Forced auto-reboots on setup should say it all.
edit: even skipping gapps means forced reboots so either the kernel is borked or something else is amiss.

I dream of the day when I release a well tested ROM and users do not manage to produce any issues :/
My phone is running the latest Weekly using OpenGapps nano just fine. If you encounter any issues, please let me know about the latest Stock version you had installed, and any other information you might consider noteworthy.

I had pico along with just the WEEKLY for trial and error and no luck so far. 41.2.A.2.199 was the latest before I went over, running alongside twrp-3.1.1-20170524 from AdrianDC. Kinda hard to get logcat going when I can't even use the phone for more than 5 seconds at best . I've had no issues running either AOSP builds we have here either.

Ant+ is not supported by AOSP. We're working on adding it, but currently lack actual devices to test Ant+ with.
General info: I moved the weekly to tomorrow. I'll rework the devicetrees on top of the new 4.4 kernel today, and will try to reproduce the issues y'all experiences once again.

Can help with testing
Is not it should be updated, and now this version of the camera upside down, after the pixel only 15mp
Since it isn't in the OP and I couldn't find the information in a quick search, does it make a difference with the F8131 vs F8132, or does this ROM work with both?
any updates on this?

I suppose I asked the wrong question. Which one has it been tested on? The F8131 seems to only be available in the US, which is why I was wondering if it was the one being targeted, or if you were developing/testing on the F8132.

The F8131 is the international one (which I have). The F8132 is for India afaik (different Basebands supported).

Download speeds vary. It's just how the wonderful internet is. Speedtest is connecting to one server dedicated to speed tests...AFH, on the other hand, has a lot of users and a lot of simultaneous downloads.
I encounter same issue from time to time. Just keep being patient...or try later in the day (or night). ?

ROM is smooth, but USB charging is very slow, Can we have fast charge on USB, as right now no custom kernel is available for android 7.1.2

CarbonROM is an aftermarket firmware based on the Android Open Source Project. We are dedicated to fast, stable, and feature-filled roms, honesty and communication with our users, and openness with our code. We like frequent builds, with the very latest and greatest hardware support and fixes. We strive to not only provide you with the best rom we can build, but also to give back to the Android community and our fellow developers. For us, this is about creating something we can be proud of and hope you will enjoy.
Please feel free to look, build, and use our code at CarbonROM's GitHub... and at CarbonROM Gerrit.
Disclaimer:
While we make every effort to test these builds as much as possible, we are not responsible for anything that may happen to your device, family, pets, or perception of reality. We ask that you do your part to know your device and know how to recover from problems before you flash!
Support:
We spend an astonishing amount of time developing this software. We can't spend much time on XDA as a result, so if you need support, please try the following:
1) Search. Search, search, search. Yes, you. I don't care how unique or important your question is, it's very likely someone has adressed it already. Especially if you're even close to new at this.
2) Read our FAQ, which can be found on our website. Carbon FAQ
3) Ask a question in your device forum. Someone will no doubt try to help you. Warning: this help may come in the form of telling you it's a dumb question that has been asked before. See step 1 - such are the perils of asking questions when you haven't done the research yourself. Android is about helping yourself.
4) Join our Discord server! There, you can connect with other Carbon users and our developers, and you can get quicker responses to your bug reports. The invite link is right below.
We recommend MindTheGApps. OpenGApps should work, but please make sure you clearly mention the gapps you're using when reporting bugs.

Encryption: This device has full support for FBE encryption and I will only provide support for encrypted devices. If your device isn't encrypted, most likely the no-verity ZIP designed for OOS O will work for you, but if it doesn't - I can't fix or help that.
Firmware: Weekly build from April 5 requires ob7 firmware.
If updating from Nougat: Please back up your data off the device. Most likely you won't be able to upgrade directly from N. OnePlus used different encryption blobs in N vs O so for the best experience, I'd recommend you flash OOS and then flash Carbon. If you're already on O builds of another ROM that supports encryption, you should be fine not to go to OOS in between.
No support will be provided if you're flashing custom kernels, magisk, audio mods etc. If you experience issues, please eliminate those things first to make sure they aren't causing your issues.

My favorite is finally here! It's rock solid! My new daily driver! So far I haven't encountered any problems. :good: Thumbs up!
Thanks for the ROM it's very smooth!
Are you planning on adding back the wakelock blocking at the kernel level? I noticed it was present previously on adinkwok's thread but not in this build.
Either way very interested in the development and ethos of your builds so would greatly be interested in anything you have to share :good:

What's not working:
What's buggy:
⚛ GPS - It has been improved since the oreo releases and Google Maps navigation works perfectly. However, some purely GPS (that don't use the internet connection for a quicker lock) based apps take a long time to get a lock.

We ask that you do your part to know your device and know how to recover from problems before you flash! These builds are experimental and can contain Bugs (as listed above). Make sure to do backups.
Instructions:
⚛ Take a backup of your setup in case you want to return to it.
⚛ Perform a factory reset.
⚛ Install the ROM.
⚛ Install the C6902 modem files if you're using a C6902.
⚛ Reboot to the system.
⚛ Reboot back to the recovery and flash gapps. This is necessary because most gapps packages have a broken SetupWizard on Pie.
⚛ ???
⚛ Profit.

hi dev, i tested this pie rom and discovered many bugs and issues and crashes and even freezes in some parts of the system, in addition to that phone data is not there at all, also some heating and fast battery discharge so i think this is related to the DeeP SleeP module, so as you told before the Rom is still in early stage and needs too many fixes. this is my Testing Log to take a look, and thank you so much dev for your Great work and effort.
i do that already and work now
thank u
Xposed work or not ?

last_kmsg doesn't help, the kernel is fine. Please mention specifically what these crashes are and if possible, provide logcats.
Thanks.
Most of these crashes i faced installing app from google play, i'm not using this rom now so i cannot provide logcat, always phone just freeze up and i need to restart it.
Hey
After boot up phone Bluetooth is force stop and phone restart and after boot again Bluetooth again force stop and phone restart this step repeat and repeat.
my device c6903
Thanks for your work
Still no plans for treble????
sorry for late responce, but for now i can't pull out the logcat file because i'am on another Rom and the logcat file is not there anymore, but i promice you dev in your next Pie Rom beta release i will pull the Logcat file for you to take a look.
