Backlight defaults to zero when restarting XDA IIs

Hi
My XDA IIs is wrking fine except that often when switching back on the backlight is minimised. When I adjust the backlight settings on battery it is OK, but then once again reverts to the slider being minimised upon restart.
The turn off backlight if device not used for is unchecked.
The turn on backlight when a button is pressed is checked.
The power setting is turn off device if not used for 2 minutes.
Any ideas.
Many thanks
Rod King
when you say "restart" are you poking the stylus in the reset hole or holding down the power button?
holding down the power button turns off the backlight, holding it down again, turns it back on
I have had this problem when I changed the backlight setting. Try going into the Backlight properties under the "Battery Power" tab. Place a check in "Turn on backlight when a button is pressed or the screen is tapped."
Then go to the "Button Lock" properties and choose "Lock all buttons except Power button" so that only the power button will wake your unit. If this don't solve it, then it may be a software you installed.
hope that helps..

Any method? Power button also great... Just tired to use soft button.
Most custom roms have this option if you go into camera, then go to settings, then Camera Settings (more), then Power Shutter toggled on On. I have attached my Camera.apk that has this option, but you have to push it to /system/app

Thx dude yeah I can use it
But I found that it is inconvenience to use power button since it will make the phone sleep or even off
So the question is here how can I use volume buttons to capture photos with stock rom?
What do you mean using the power button will make the phone sleep? The camera app disables the power button as a 'lock button' when in 'power shutter' mode. When you press the camera button, it just takes a picture and doesn't do anything else. If you want to lock the phone, just press home then power. It's just one more button press.

[Q] Aeroplane Mode

How can I remove the option to enable/disable Aeroplane Mode from the Power Menu? It's only something small, though for me it would make a sleeker experience.
The Xposed Module Advanced Power Menu+ lets you edit your power menu. I tried it and it works, but crashes sometimes. Google it and download it.

Schedule power on/off

Which rom has schedule power on/off option like miui ?

Question No pop-up button for manual rotation of screen?

I know there was an option on my other Samsung's that when you rotate the phone, it would pop-up a button in the corner to choose whether or not to rotate or leave locked. There is no option for that on the ZF4, anyone know if it's permanent or a workaround?
Press and hold the auto rotate quick toggle, I think it's the first option.
