There is no Droid version. However whether you buy it from Moto or Verizon it will be locked.

ok thanks . So the moto z2 play is the only unlockable one. And does the play work with Verizon?

Hello,
I obtained a system dump off the AT&T unit, and I believe I have a workable root method for it. Needing a tester. Any volunteers with review/early units?

If you can get custom recovery, root, and all that jazz going on the Optimus g I will buy it and give you money. I have been sitting on my Inspire 4G until quad krait with really new and not just die shrunk adreno became available. Optimus g seems to be the ticket to turbo town if you can enable my scrubbing of at&t's bloatware and some aosp loving.

Assuming the recovery and boot image are signed, recovery could take a while. I'm not particularly worried about money.
Wow will the international and at & T and sprint versions all have the same development? Same ROMs etc.?
Any idea about the Optimus G having unlockable bootloader? Will get the device instantly.. Looks amazing

My upgrade with sprint is November 1, and their release date for the LG OG is Nov. 11, so as soon as I get mine, I'll help with root testing...

Roms will not be 100% compatible across the three. There will be a couple changes necessary such as kernel and radio drivers (ril) that would need to change, but for the most part, yes, development will be the same. If I get it, I can make flashable patches to run a rom from other variants.
As of now, lg says they won't unlock the bootloader and since its not out everywhere, no one has cracked it yet,but give it time and it will.

I opt'd not to post the root we got working at this time, until the US versions start to hit. The Korean variant already has a working root it seems.
Still looking for someone with the sprint variant...

Do y'all think we will be able to s-off/unlock the t-mobile m8 boot loader?
If not I'd rather deal with the dev edition since I'm in a 1900 reframed area and am not dependent on the tmobile model bands.

Honestly, yeah we should be able to do the Dev unlock through HTC and then s-off will come later
Also, how do you know that you're in the reframed area?? I'd love to see if I am also.

Firewater Devs Release S-Off for the HTC One M8!
Has anyone been able to try this on T-Mobiles version of the M8? I know some people out there already have the Tmo version before the official release date this Friday. I probably won't be buying one until June or July.

WeakSauce does NOT work on T-Mobile.
However, from my personal experience with a T-Mobile variant this evening, HTCDev works to unlock it. You can then subsequently root the device through custom Recovery, then use Firewater to S-Off.
Thank you very very much for the reply. I kind of figured the HTC unlock would work but was going to try to avoid it if possible and just use root to obtain S-Off. Oh well. Voided warranty here I come. Lol

All current OTA's ok to root/downgrade/flash twrp?
Any serial numbers to avoid?
For example, newer G3's with "k" in the serial number cant be downgraded.
Thanks.

I think US users would be receiving different update. Please go through the below Moto US link :

And it looks better than the stupid 0.67 update.

Hi team,
Every since I upgraded to DP2 of Android P, Android pay stopped working. Whenever I bring my device to payment machine , it says 'error, please try again' on the payment machine, nothing on the phone. I've tried factory resetting, didn't help. I'm on pure stock, never rooted.
Anyone else having similar or same problem? Any input is appreciated.
I've had zero issues with Google pay since upgrading to DP2. I have used it 10+ times no problem or glitches. I was concerned before upgrading, as nfc is listed as known issues on the release notes.
After factory reset did you do the usual restore apps? I would give a clear app data for Google apay a try and set it up fresh. I haven't tried Google Pay yet but most people have said it's working or got it working eventually.

Therefore he has a locked bootloader... therefore Google Pay works on DP2. Therefore a search would have answered his question.
