MIUI peoples App closes when trying to create a new contact.

Hi I've been having a problem when trying to add a new contact, when I press the "add a new contact" button the peoples app just closes.
I am using MIUI v2.7.20
I can't add a logcat because it's to long and I am not allowed to post links.

Its a known issue on miui for this phone. A workaround would be to use a third party contact app like the one that comes with exdialer (play store). Unfortunately it doesn't look like the issues with miui will be ironed out very soon, we are not getting any device specific updates that I am aware of, only syncs with the main miui update server.

Aww, well thanks for letting me know. I tried using exDialer but it also closes when I try to add a new contact.

From what I understand, MIUI development for our phone is horrible at the moment, seems they are dragging their feet at resolving all of the known issues.. I wanted to try it out but contacts are a dealbreaker for me

I have unlocked GT-N7105, it was working prefectly, am using chrome as my default browser, i notice few days back that while am surfing a popup note comes and says:
The page at mpartner.mobi says:
Warning: Scanning for Viruses & Spyware in Recommended For Your Android. Download, Install & Run a Complete Threat Scan Now!
and there is ONLY an OK sign to press, and even if pressed the back button, it direct me to open the google play to NQ antivirus, now a days the note comes if am on any app.
I have outlook security and found nothing as well AVG Pro (Trial) it only found that:
-Next Launcher Pro Galaxy S4 Theme by Butterfly (Witch LOTS installed it with no issue) is an adaware, i performed Full Scan, but nothing Works out, i try to google but no result, not even a hint.
Any HELP PLZ??

Probably it may be ads or pramotion. Don't take it seriously.
Also install adblocker application and turnoff popup blocker option in chrome browser.

Thank you and appreciate the quick reply
But now the popup comes even if am not using Chrome or any browser, it comes when am on any app, also how to get rid of it, i know adblocker should prevent that but how to get rid of it totally ?? and more important how to recognize witch app is doing this and get rig of it as well clean the system for any potential harmful residues??

So it is definitely from any apps ads.
Open applications one by one and check (by opening and closing) which creates problem. Use AdAway application it's having live ads detection feature. By this you can also check which application creats ads.

Is there any kind of notification icon on status bar during popup? If yes u can long press and click app info..this way u can see which app is creating this problem

My GOD.
AdAway is an....Adaware lol, and AVG stoped it, the funny part is its Filled with popup ads,i search for it on Play and found 2 apps, both are adaware.

No bro. That's different. Google has blocked all ads blocking apps.
You have to downlaod it from other site.
Search for AdAway, Adblock, adsfee app from google. Even one thread is also there in xda just search around. And it requires root to use those apps.

Best is detect those application manually and uninstall application which creates ads.

Same problem
I have a similar problem whenever I access gamespot.com. The pop ups started about 2 weeks ago. I tried every conceivable ad blocker and virus scanner. Even tried with dolphin browser. I even did a complete factory reset on my Xperia Z and the pop up still occurs. I suspect its just that website. But I really welcome if there are other ways of disabling it.

Wait! I have already read this thread! And that apk has ported from the 4.4 app! But that one i post is made for 4.1 to 4.3 al jellybean and kitkat usera can download

Freezing google play services lets app to work..
Dats cool.. Bt still a small issue, exiting from app n entering in settings gives fc.. Bt its fine, atleast its working

Help There!
Everybody saying that it's force closing! So here is the solution for that! Force Stop The Camera If Able, If Not In Your Apps Manager, Then go to Google Play Services then force stop, Then Google Play Store and Then Google Settings. And you should get your camera works fine.

Solution! Install camera, disable Google Play Services and open camera then enable it again, super simple

Force closes when I click on Resolution & Quality>>Back camera photo also Front camera photo. Don't know what's wrong and also tried freezing Google Play services

Earlier it wasn't working for me but now after the last 2 updates its working perfectly without any fc.
Try updating if you haven't yet done that.

Everybody saying force closes. So read this:
1: Download The Camera.
2: Disable Google Play Services.
3: Open Camera, it will be working well.
4: Enable Google Play Services, NOTE: DON'T UPDATE THE GOOGLE PLAY SERVICES WHEN YOU ENABLED IT AGAIN, NOTHING WILL HAPPEN JUST GOOGLE CAMERA WILL NOT WORK!
5: Enjoy

video doesn't work
I switched to video recorder and it force closed. Since now it starts in video recorder by default, it force closes on start and I am unable to use it

Go to dat app in application manager, n click clear data, it will reset settings for dat camera app..

Having the same problem, camera fc on re enabling play services even with updated version. With the old play service app though the camera works but then Google hangout keeps asking me to update it

VSCO is pretty good, but I usually just use the pixelmaster camera for quick pics.

A better camera

pixelmaster.tried camera 51,google camera but obviously asus know how to optimize it better than anybody else.besides phone is by asus.they know the hardware,they have to create a better software.camera is a shame right now

My Pixelmaster Camera app is crashing immediately and gives two error messages. The first one is "another app is using the camera.." and the second is "Camera failed to launch. please reboot and try again". Rebooting didn't help. I have tried other apps for camera like camera360 but didn't work. What could be the problem? My device is Zenfone2 64G.

Did you recently installed an app that have access to your camera? If you did install an app then use Auto Start Manager to block such app to start at your background if it doesn't work then try to uninstall that app.
If you did not installed any app that may use your camera then go for wipe cache memory from recovery mode and then try to access the camera.
If Camera is still not working then as a last hope Hard reset your phone from Recovery mode and then ADB Sideload the latest rom for your from here and then check your camera.
If still your camera is not working then there might be some hardware issue to be addressed by you nearer Asus Service Station.

It might also be that you uninstalled some default app that the camera needs.

Thank you guys. Yes I installed many apps including Clashot, Foap and Snapwire that are photo community apps, but I have multiple photo and camera apps on other devices with no conflict!! I disable all apps at boot. I uninstalled then reinstalled the original camera app. I installed camera360 but no chance. I uninstalled some google apps I don't need. I'm not sure if installing/uninstalling these app caused or the last system upgrade 5 days ago. I'm willing to try any solution since no Asus service station is available now in Syria. Thank you

I just did a factory reset .. Still can't use the camera!!

camera apps cant seem to open camera smt705

when i open a camera app i get an error message and the app force closes. i ve tried all the clear cache reboot fixes and itll work for awhile, then it stops working again. wondering if the changelog might give someone an idea.
edit- cant post screenshot for some reason. now i understand why a lot of posts dont have screenshots and you cant figure out what the **** theyre talking about.

This sometimes happens with ROMS. All you need to do is download some random camera apps from the Google Play Store. One of them will eventually work!

yeah, thats what ive been doing. open camera 1.34 seems to be working fine. it did get an error message when i first downloaded it, but i had just uninstalled camera fv. after reboot its been opening the camera just fine. i liked the samsung camera but i dont like gallery, so ive got both of those froze. camera/cinema fv light would not work with this selamba rom.

camera and gallery work with each other. if you frozen one, the other one definitely will give a problem. its how samsung wrote the code. its in the framework. camera will search for gallery that it was mean to work with.

i dont like gallery. i use quickpic. thats why i cant use the samsung camera. is there another app that can freeze apps thats smaller than titanium backup?
