Hi,
I'm running the latest version of Lineage OS and I'd like to turn off capacitive Keys, but there is no option to do so. I've tried apps on playstore only two of them that show up for me and don't work. I'm using an S5.

How do I completely disable capacitive buttons in the generic.kl file. Running project x bare bones. I use3 dot mod and floating launcher, and the Phantom issues is really bad. All the buttons do it. I have tried fixes with no luck. Just don't want to use at all. And I don't want to switch roms.
I have a rooted Note 2014 with Clean Romo 1.0 on it. I mainly use my Note in tablet mode but hate having to use the default arrows on the side. I was hoping their was an app or a zip that enabled this so it would float to however you had your screen. Any ideas?

I assume you're referring to the soft navigation keys?
There are a number of apps if you search for soft navigation keys on Google Play. Maybe start with this one (as it doesn't seem you need root access to enable it)?

Edit: So I just installed the Handy SoftKeys app and it seems to do what you want it to do, although the placement on the screen is a little weird (middle of the screen on the right edge). The "back" key doesn't seem to work in every single application, but the "home" and "running apps" buttons seem to work okay.
The lack of normal Android buttons is a pain on this phone. You have to swipe up to go back, and this seems to work only half the time. Button Savior creates on-screen buttons that are usually hidden behind a very small icon at the side of the screen (or wherever). Click on that icon and a set of traditional Android buttons open up allowing you to go back, open the menu, etc. There is a root version and a non-root version, and it is available on Aptoide if you don't have Google play store access. It is free, with a pro version that gives you extra options. This app solves a lot of problems with the Fire Phone native interface.
The app was designed for devices with broken buttons. I had a Galaxy Tab tablet that had buttons that quit working. This app saved the tablet.
I hear Pie Control works too. Still relies on swipe to get your nav buttons.

Personally, I got used to the swipe to back out. And if that fails, there's always the home button. I'm using Nokia Z Launcher, the gesture control fits in well with that.
Is there a good solution to change the function of the app drawer and back in Oxygen OS 4? I tried some apps but its useless. It's rooted.
Have you tried flar2's Button Mapper? It definitely works on OOS, though you will need to pay for a pro key to remap the back and recents buttons. That said, flar2 is an excellent developer and the key is well worth it.
Is it possible to activate the navbar plus the hard ware keys? I would like to normally use the hardware keys but have the navbar to use the music controller or the "new" clipboard feature or just have some extra buttens. Maybe for some Tasker action or so.
Iam on OOS.
I would use this mod as well. That's how I had my Asus Zenfone 2 Laser set up. Hardware keys with back on the right and soft keys with back on the left that way I could use either hand without having to reach across the phone to press back or recents. It was like a rigged up one-handed mode.
Edit for clarification: I used Xposed to have both hard and soft keys. I'm not sure how else it could be done, but I imagine it'd be a little more difficult that a few edited lines of code here and there.
It's possible to do this currently with a few different custom ROMs. Resurrection Remix, which I currently run, has the option to enable both hardware and software keys, and it is likely that many other Lineage-based ROMs would be able to as well.
