Screen blacking out on CM7 and Froyo Roms

Hi there,
I experience a weird problem with my Defy that noone else seems to have.
Sometimes my Defy just won't come back from Standby, the Screen stays black. The Touchbuttons at the bottom get luminated if I press the On/Off button, and you can see that the backlight of the screen works as the screens turn into a lighter shade of dark ( ), but still the screen stays black. I know that the phone stays on, as I get haptic feedback by long pressing the Off button.
I had my phone at datrepair for the issue and it came back with a standard Froyo (DACH Retail), but as soon as I flash to other Roms like CM7 or other Froyo builds, voila there it is, screen blacking out from time to time.
Until now I didn't find anyone with that problem, but perhaps any of you guys knows a solution for that problem, as I'm very keen to use CM7, since the Rom is just fabolous. I just don't have the nerves to solve the black screen by removing the battery and inserting it back again every single time it turns up...
Thanks in advance for any help.

S4 shuts off & hard to reboot or unable to reboot?

S4 using Insane KK v9 and everything has been running smooth for a long time now but now the phone will randomly shut off when on battery (full charge). When I try to power it back up I get the samsung logo for a few seconds and then it goes blank and shuts off again. Battery pull results in the same, but if I plug it in again it might boot up normally, OR I get a grey battery pic followed by a green one showing a charge, but still unable to boot.
Any ideas?
Could be a stuck power button. Try to see if you can fix it by hitting the side against a surface or open the device

Lg G3 screen stuck on boot screen

Very strange problem. I have a LG G3 D855 for 1 and a half years now(rooted)
My phone was at a very low percentage, and I heared it go out. Happens to everybody, nothing strange so far.
I connected it to the charger and I turned it on, i heared the startup noise, but nothing happened. No pincode screen or unlock screen. Stuck at LG life is good screen. I actually was able to take a screenshot, i heared that sound when pressing power and volume down key. I know it is just right away from the main screen, but why is my screen freezing at startup logo? Tried to hard reset and clear all data, then I get a secure confirmation (verify) error. then my led starts to flash red and blue. Battery taking out and still no success.
How to fix this? Also screen is recognizing touch at the startup screen (when it fades away i click on it and it turns brighter)
EDIT: I blindly went into whatsapp and i am able to type and answer calls blindly wtf. Now I got a blue screen, everything is operational, the screen is blue now
Phone is functional, the screen is stuck on boot (life is good screen or blue screen)
How to fix?
Lol, the day after I hit my phone on the screen and restarted it and it worked again! I really dont know how it works again, but lmao! Also my secure boot sector is not working, that problem has nothing too do with this fixed one.

Black screen with time and weirdly large notification list.

My girlfriend was trying to turn my alarm off and somehow it got stuck on a screen I had never seen before, all black with white time at the top and a list of the notifications that was oversized, I could scroll through them but not interact with them or turn off the alarm and I could not reset the device by just holding the power button it would turn the flashlight on. I'm running lineage OS the latest build for the 10.
I eventually got it restarted after the alarm stopped by holding every button
Does anyone know what that was?
Extreme power saving mode ?
I am facing same problem. When I first switch to 14.1 Lineage OS ; It was doing it when a new OS update was available , to recover , I had to reboot using power off and volume down, back and home button would flash 15 times , phone would reboot, and all would work correctly. Right after reboot I would see the update suggestion LOS. Clear all and phone would behave ok until same pattern happen. I finally decided to update to latest nightly. Which was at the time 14.1-20170706-NIGHTLY-pme changed the update setting to manual. It still does the same random black screen , showing bold white clock , bold white weather banner , I can see text message notification but no swipe works in anyway shape or form. Simply need to reboot with Power and volume down. Seen details about similar problem on reddit about nexus4 doing similar behavior.
No , because there is no way out other than holding power and volume down to recover the phone. Sometimes it goes to normal restart , sometimes it goes to bootloader.
Have you just tried flashing a different ROM?

HTC One M8 Dual Sim hangs with Time and Battery State on screen

I have an M8 dual Sim running LineageOS 14.1-20171207-NIGHTLY-m8d with pico GApps. Occasionally it will hang with the Date and Battery State showing as dots.
I have a photo but cannot post it. I have not been active enough on the forum. Basically the time shows at the top of the screen in big text as if set out with LEDs and similarly a battery outline below with % of battery charged also looking like LEDs.
The power on/off button will turn the screen on and off, but that is all.
I have to reboot using Vol Up and Power Button held down together for more than 10 seconds to be able to use it again.
Any idea why this might be happening?
Try updating to the latest lineage-14.1-20180118-nightly-m8d and latest gapps.
OK, will do. No idea why or what it means.
