Hi guys,
I noticed that on Auto mod LG camera is using way too much post processing like noise luminance reduction and way over sharpening.
If I try RAW it way better.
Is there a way to tweak this and tune if down a bit so AUTO mode is usable again...
I wanna know the same

Yeah guys. Defcomg has perfected LIBS on LG G4 and LGv10 and they most like would work on G6. Thos libs work both on G4 and V10 without any change.
However if they don't work on G6 some dev can easily port them. I'm still on G4 however. Will be getting most likely v30 tho. Here are some links if someone wants to take a look. Back your rom via twrp if you try this so you can easily restore.
Location of libs is system/vendor/lib/ and you will need to change permissions to 0644 on all copied libs via Root Explorer. @defcomg @troopii

Yes it does!! See my post above. It does not allow to switch to wide angle though. But the difference between blurry original app and this one is vast.

Thank you for posting this. I'm really liking the results
@defcomg I would likle to try my hand at porting your G4/v10 Libs (IMX234 I think?)to the G6 (IMX258), where do I start? Is there acertain decompiler i'd have to use or do I just rename the libs?
I would be glad for some guidance or help! It would be awesome to improve (as in lessen) the poostprocessing on our beloved G6 in photo but especially in video mode.
Best.

Hey everyone. I just updated the camera to the update that allows RAW support. Unfortunately, it isn't doing me any good. When I swap from the regular camera I lose the ability to set up manual settings. I can take an image but it looks like it is over exposing by a ton. The highlights are absolute white as the camera tries to bring out the darkest portions of the photo. Where you would swap between camera exposure modes in the normal camera module, is replaced only by the gear for settings and I have no 3 dot menu. Basically the RAW control is useless (for me) because the camera goes and does whatever it wants without letting me control it.
I can keep shooting in the regular camera module but I am a professional photographer and would love to be able to touch up my photos in lightroom or photoshop for some fun.
At this point what I am wondering is, am I the only one with this issue? I will get ahold of a screenshot on the phone so that everyone can see what is happening as well.

This is exactly what I did as well. I was super excited for RAW since I use Lightroom and Photoshop a ton.
Yep same here.
What does the raw image look like in photoshop? Are you able to adjust the levels since a raw image is supposed to contain all the info to be controllable just like the settings in regular mode, but in post production? (as you know, but someone else might not)
These photos could look just fine, they just have to be photoshopped, which was the point of raw anyway, but just look like trash in the phone beforehand. Of course, being that washed out is a pita
Just curious, I haven't taken the update
http://i.imgur.com/ygSm0mW.jpg
TADA! Raw vs edited raw. And you can definitely edit every value in photoshop
Same problem
Having the exact same issue. No manual shutter or focus control, causing my images to be extremely overblown, even putting it into light room can't get the highlights in control, seems like the shutter is staying open for a long time because everything is super blurry. I've seen screenshots of people using the camera and having access to the manual settings, I don't understand why they aren't there for me.
subscribed. +1 on same problem.

Manual focus, WB, ISO, EX, DNG (RAW) 1080p60fps, 4K, timelapse, Bracketing and much more! And its FREE! I dont have time to test bacon camera (work and study) but I think, that its better than Bacon (paid) camera app.

Thank you for contacting Huawei Support - UK .
In regards to your query kindly be informed that lightning effects require using the flash and because the flash uses light in order to illuminate your face (the closest thing to the camera), it will automatically make the background comes our black/not recorded. This is intended to work this way and it does not mean that the device is faulty.
Should you have any further inquiries, please do not hesitate to contact us.
As we are constantly focused on improving our services, we would be very grateful if you could take a few seconds to complete the 3-question survey below, in order to rate the support you received from our side.

So I told her that flash on selfies is software only, white square thing and it cannot be switched always on and on main camera it doesn't work with flash on neither... Her respond:
Thank you for coming back to us with more details on the matter.
In regards to your query, kindly be informed that certain modes designed for taking selfies will automatically delete the background. This is not a fault with the device, and neither can it be changed as this is the way the particular modes were designed.
So this is apparently how it should work...
