Xperia Neo Unlock Bootloader warranty

Hello! If i unlock my bootloader on my xperia neo and then lock it again will i lose my warranty?(i want to root my phone and seems that OTA update is not working so i want to try the method wich implies unlocking the bootloader)Thanks in advance!
Yes you will, unlocking bootloader deletes DRM certificates so even if you relock, sony will be able to tell i beleve the payed method of bootloader unlock does not delete the certificates though

Hello.
To root your phone you just have to downgrade to a 2.3.2 rom with wotanclient, root with gingerbreak and do an OTA update (no danger during the update as long as your bootloader is locked)

Is DRM keys the only big issue? If so, I can see that that can be worked around. I asked Sony about this today and they said that a lot of issues they see with their phones are as a result of modding, so if the BL is unlocked, you lose your warranty. I don't want to ruin a 2 year warranty on new phone. Yet, as Doomlord pointed out, Sony offered users to test the ICS which involved BL unlock...I'm confused.

Rooting/ Unlocking Bootloader

Hi guys, I am considering purchasing Z3C and it would be my first Sony phone, but I am hesitant because I read that in order to root it, you have to unlock its bootloader which will lead to loss of DMR keys and degrading camera output quality.
How does rooting work for Z1C? Is it possible to root without unlocking bootloader and losing DMR keys? Should I go for Z3C and hope that it will be possible in future?
In z1c you can easly root without unlocking bootloader. You need unlock bootloader if you want to have cm roms or aosp or have other kernel than stock. Z3c should have this option in future. In z1c you can backup your ta partition and always you can relock your bootloader

Does XA1 losing some functionality when bootloader is unlocked?

I would like to buy XA1 and root it like I always do on other phones, but i'm curious about what happened of you unlock bootloader on XA1.
Does XA1 lose some functionality when bootloader is unlocked, like Z devices?
Yes. DRM gets wiped out once you unlock bootloader. The Camera loses some functionality.
Oh darn I just found a thread about it and it seems they haven't found root exploit yet

Unlocking and Relocking bootloader with Camera2 API

I'm looking to unlock my bootloader to try and install gcam following this: technobuzz.net/ google-camera-without-root/ however I've never unlocked bootloader before and every time I go to I get put off by the warning messages...
Sooo I wanted to know if i unlock bootloader, enable Camera2 API and install gcam could I still lock bootloader afterwards or will it reverse everything?
is it worth it? or should i be worried about malware.. I don't intend to use roms ect.. I'd just like a fairly decent camera..
Also does anyone have any experience with Pokemon Go working with unlocked bootloader?
Thanks for any help.x
You have to flash fastboot ROM to relock bootloader and this will erase everything
Say you have enabled camera2api and kept unlocked bootloader, whenever you get new update build.prop will overwritten with original build.prop so you will loose camera2api

Install custom ROM or root with out unlock bootloader

Hi my Sony Xperia xa2 say bootloader unlock no is there anyway to force software or at least root with out unlock bootloader thanks
This is not possible. In order to flash anything to the device, the bootloader must be unlocked. The whole point of the bootloader lock is to prevent flashing anything; firmware is updated via OTA.
