Have you noticed that some 3rd party apps stopped working after the latest update? TuneIn Radio refuses to play anything... complains of internal decoder error. MX Player is asking for the installation of the decoder support add-on, which it never did before.

I hope not, or I will stay on 4.1.2
Doesn't seem to have affected my MX player at all, no prompts for codecs
Wow really? There is no way I'm the only one experiencing this. I contacted TuneIn Radio, still waiting for a reply...but it worked perfectly on 4.1.2 and still works perfectly on my Nexus 7 with 4.2.2.
Tried Tune In radio and no problem either. Using the free versions of both.
I'd suggest removing and reinstalling both from the store.

Interesting. Out of curiosity, are you rooted?

I can confirm I have the same problem with Tune In Radio Pro. Re-installed app but the problem remains. No reply from Tune In support.
Great.
I uninstalled TuneIn Radio Pro and reinstalled...same problem. I then installed the free version and it worked :silly: No clue what changed in the 4.2.2 upgrade that broke something the in Pro version.
I've had the same issue with Tunein Pro on my XZ since updating to 4.2.2, the free version works fine. I contacted Tunein support and they asked me to send a log file from my phone using the DeviceDoctor app. We'll see if it helps them track down the issue

I am having same problems with My Tune In Radio Pro with 4.2.2 Firmware on my Xperia ZL
Free version works fine. I emailed Tune In support and haven't received any replies yet. This totally sucks.
Yes, the fact free version works while paid one is not working kinda frustrating :banghead:

Tune In Pro just solved this problem with latest update, so it is not Sony's fault.

I appear to still be having an issue with the latest version (7.5). However I recieved an email from tune in today about the problem.
' Hello
Thank you for contacting us.**We are aware of the issue on these devices and are actively working with Sony's technical team to remedy it. *Attached is the APK of TuneIn Radio Pro version 7.4. *Please let us know if you are able to install it directly to your device from this email. *Thanks for your patience.
Sincerely,
Dirk
TuneIn'
A working version was attached but unfortunately it is against forum rules to post pro versions of app's. So I'd recommend you send them a email. Sorry guys
At least it appears they know about it and are fixing.
Cheers

Hello,
I found a problem with my galaxy tab pro 10.1 using Google Play Music on the chromecast. When i'm connected to the chromecast and run music with the google play music app on the tablet, if i drag the notification bar, an error append and UI does not respond anymore. And the error is in a loop so i have no other choice than restart the tablet.
Is it possible for someone to make this test ? I tried with different launcher but it is the same, so i think it's due to the system...
Thanks
Exact same issue here. Glad I am not the only one to stumble across this weird bug.
It's a known bug affecting most 4.4.2 Samsung devices. Samsung blames Google, Google blames Samsung.

Hi All,
Not sure if anybody else is having this issue but whenever I try to play something on my chromecast with my G3 I get a systemui crash.
Never had this issue on my nexus 5 or my Z1 compact.
Anybody else experience this issue?
Thanks

I'm so glad someone brought this up...I thought it was only me at first. Was ready to flash it thinking it would fix it.
Anyone able to figure out how to fix it or should we just avoid casting anything on our G3 until theres a fix?
Well I get my phone Thursday so can take a look then if no one solves it before then.

Hi,
Try uninstalling the latest YouTube update on your phone. This worked for me.
Hope this helps.

Didn't work.
ME TOO! That sucks! I thought it was just me. What are supposed to do - stop using a Google product on Google's OS?
Shame this didn't work for you.
My YouTube app that does seem ok is version: 5.3.28
Not sure if it's possible to downgrade to this version though!

Wait until they update the app its probably a incompatibility with the qhd screen....report it to them via app store and they should fix it in a couple days

Unfortunately it is not just a youtube related problem. If you have the chrome beta app you can stream and mp4 videos from the browser directly to the chromecast and it crashed then also.
Also BubbleUPNP crashes when streaming to the chromecast.
A similar bug was found in some early samsung devices which samsung fixed with a software update so I believe this is for LG to fix and not Google.
This is happening to me on my lg gpad that i just got an update for a couple days ago! Anyone have a solution, please post it. Tia

Can you guys recommend something like apple tv- just two clicks and I've got my phone on my TV or audio on amplifier. Something simple and compatible with whole OS not just with two apps ie youtube or gallery...

Me neither. LG needs to check this out It's crazy. I'm tired of the battery pulls.
Is there anyone who are having these issues with Chromecast that are NOT rooted? Can someone confirm?
I'm not saying being rooted is the cause. That's stupid talk. I want to see if this is a feature LG breaks for rooted devices, or if this is simply a nasty bug. Some manufacturers do things like that, not that LG has a history of doing this (to my knowledge).
It's a bug in the LG software, nothing to do with root

Hello.
I've had my g3 for a couple of days now and some of the games i used to play such as bubble witch saga 2 are incompatible with the g3. They don't even appear on the play store, i have to click on the google links.
Is it basically just a case of waiting until they get updated or is there anything i can do?
Sent from my LG-D855 using Tapatalk
Email the devs for any app you find that doesn't work, the app itself will be fine they just need to update their play store listing to allow the new resolution.
Sent from my LG-D855 using Tapatalk
Same thing with the ESPN SportsCenter app. You'd probably have luck contacting the devs with smaller apps, but with some of the bigger ones, it's probably just a waiting game.
