i restarted my lg g3 d855 which uses 7.1.2 lineage stock to twrp and did a dalvik and a cache wipe.
when i opened up my phone spotify gave me a no storage error, i tried to see what's wrong by using es file explorer pro and and the stock file explorer, both had nothing but an empty sign.
i rebooted to twrp again and it's own file explorer built in under the advanced menu, i was able to see /sdcard and /storage/emulated/0 and files under these partitions such ad Android and downloads.
what should i do? i can't even take screenshots because none of the apps have access to internal storage.

Hexamob Recovery Lite can recover any type of deleted file from your internal/external SDcard. It can recover deleted files from external sdcard (tablets) and internal sdcard (smartphones). Internal sdcard from tablets will be supported in nearly. Data recovery is not guaranteed because it depends on the state of data blocks after delete process.
FEATURES:
- You can use this application like an undelete tool to recover your deleted files.
- Support FAT (vfat) filesystem type.
- Search for any file type or select types from filters.
- Deleted files long ago will be more difficult to recover because some blocks of file can be overwritten.
- Recovered files are stored in recovered folder of your device (usually in the "microSD" although some devices can create this folder on the internal storage).
- This application need "Superuser" permissions. Go to Google and look for info about how to be root on your phone or you can ask to us. Is important to be "superuser" because there are many apps on Android Market that need "superuser" permissions.

Can you offer any additional info? Have to used Root Explorer or a similar app to confirm without a doubt the files are gone and not just in a different place? And I am slightly confused when you say "move to sd card" because internal storage and SDcard on this phone are the same thing since there is no EXT..
I copyed files as usualy from computer to the nexus
After the copy (I copied the new google apps zip) this zip is ont the storage, but all other 12Go of data in the card are disapeared
I try to find it with windows, root explorer, es file explorer, I tryed android undelet tools and windows undelet tools... noone can see the MTP memory of the nexus .......
And I disabled the upload to picasa..

Do you have fast usb charge enabled? If so, try disabling that.
all files in /sdcard disappeared
The same thing just happened to me. I copied 386MB of music to /sdcard/Music and all appeared to be fine. I used Windows7 x64 Explorer over USB mounted as MTP.
I noticed that I could not copy some files back to Windows from Nexus. After messing around with that for a while I used ES File Explorer to check out /sdcard. Only a few folders were there, as if /sdcard were newly created. I could still see all of the lost folders in Windows Explorer.
Am I screwed?
TIA!
This is from a corrupt MediaStore DB. I ran into something similar when moving files to my phone over WiFi using File Explorer. Afterwards only a handful of folders showed up when connected via USB. Only way to fix it is to reset the DB. Settings > Apps > All > Media Storage > Clear data/cache. Reboot. It should completely rebuild the DB after the boot, and things should show up correctly again.

That did not get all my data back, I must have done something else while trying to fix it. The good news is that this fixed one of my next questions: How do I reset the Google Music album art? The suggestion above fixed that wonderfully.
Thanks!
When I plug my phone into my PC I can see a file on my SD card called 'Android' with my game data.
But when I open ES File explorer on my phone there is another file called 'android' (small 'a') which appears empty, but I can't delete it.
When I go up to root /data/media I can see what looks like my SD card with the 'Android' and 'android' folders but there appear to be duplicate files while others are missing or moved.
I think after flashing new kernels this week there are duplicate files being created. I often have to re-download game data after flashing a kernel and I seem to be losing a lot of SD memory.
I just want to know which folders should I delete?
Using superuser permission should allow you to delete the "android" folder or file. If ES Explorer don't work, try Root Explorer or do it in adb if you know how.
In linux file systems, A and a can be two different files or folders.
Or you can reflash google factory image and that will wipe the entire internal storage.
Thanks.
I managed to delete both the Android folders.
Had to re-download all my game data but I've ended up with about 3 gig more memory.
So I can't seem to figure out how to do this I download the proper files and everything I go into TWRP and go to flash the zip file only problem is the zip file is nowhere to be found I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 Tri-Band (model #L710T) (Running Oct Os) Anyway moving on every time i go into recovery mode my storage option at the top is stuck on internal storage I can't change it every time I try to change it to micro SDcard nothing happens then the file path is just this icon ---> (/) then the folders available are boot, cache, data, dev, etc, external_sd, license, proc, recovery, res, root, sbin, sdcard, sideload, supersu, sys, system, tmp, twres, and usb-otg but when I go into any of those none of them have zip files in them as well as the file path is not the same from the one where my downloads folder is in es file explorer and the one in TWRP then i get this file path with storage/emulated/0 or something I honestly can't figure this out for the life of me and all I want is xposed so anyone who can help me I honestly do appreciate it I will be willing to post any photos or anything you need for more info and fyi my S3 is running Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 if that helps as well (mods sorry if I posted in the wrong section just signed up today as of posting this)
Try looking here.

Still Did Not Work
Still did not work any other suggestions oh but I did manage to be able to select micro SD card its not stuck on just internal storage anymore but yeah that did not work.
If it downloaded its gotta be on your system somewhere. Use a good file explorer with root privileges that has a search function.
I had to search for it on mine, too. I don't remember exactly where it was, but I can narrow it down to data, sdcard, sys, or system. I am very much a noob, so I checked every subfolder in ever folder to find it. I hope that helps

I am running the latest stock Oxygen OS version (11.2.10.10.LE15AA), rooted with Magisk. Somehow the internal /sdcard directory got unmounted and now I cannot save anything to the user storage because it doesn't exist. I could not even take screenshots because it saves by default to /sdcard/DCIM/Screenshots which doesn't exist now, so I apologize for having to take photos of a screen (the first is from terminal, the other 2 are from ES File Explorer). However, when I run "ls -la /" as superuser in a terminal window it lists sdcard. Does anyone know how to fix this? How do I re-mount /sdcard and get it recognized again?

Try to reboot to recovery and factory reset
Fixed the /sdcard unmounted error!
What finally ended up working was flashing the Oxygen OS zip in TWRP and rebooting without root. I noticed my internal storage was restored along with all the files in it — but then when I rebooted to bootloader to re-root the device with a Magisk-patched boot.img (booting into Android once as temp root with "fastboot boot magisk_patched.img", then running the Magisk app and selecting "direct install" to patch boot.img for permanent root) the /sdcard unmounted error came back! So I disabled all the newer Magisk mods I had installed, rebooted, and I have /sdcard again along with root. Yay! Factory reset was going to be my next attempt if that didn't work though.
