In an application i am trying to get to work, it says I need to grant it "Do Not Disturb Access" but when i try, the settings app always crashes.
Is there a way to do this manually?

Dears;
I rooted my phone, and as a first thing I installed Titanium back up that have been granted of root access.
I set under the application menu "allow unknow sources", and I also activated the dubug mode under the "development" tab.
Now i cannot access superuser app anymore as everytime i try "superuser stops unexpectedly"..
I then went on menu-application-manage-and on superuser I cleaned the data.
Once done that I can access superuser menu again (that of course is empty as I cleaned teh data), but as I start titanium (and it gets root access) I cannot access anymore the superuser app!
How can I fix this?
Any idea?
SOLVED
guys..
I figured it out..in the case anybody would have the same issue the solution is easy..go in superuser and under settings update the "SU Binary"..once updated the problem will not pop up again.
in the case you cannot open superuser as keep getting " unexpectedly stopped" go into Application in your phone menu, choose "superuser" and select " clear data"..once cleared you can access superuser again and do what above described..
Cheers
Update didn't work for me, what i did is update superuser from market then update su.
I'm on Android 6.0.1 stock. I had earlier installed the RedMoon app which is like what f.lux does in Windows. But if that app is running, you can't change the "app permissions" manually. You have to pause/clsoe the RedMoon app and then you may disable the permissions.
Otherwise, you'll be prompted with this error -
Screen overlay detected
To change this permission setting, you first have to turn off the screen overlay from Settings > Apps.
Anyway, later I uninstalled the RedMoon app but still I can't change the default permissions unless I'm prompted on the first run.
e.g. When I installed the Snapdeal app, even before the first launch, it had all the permissions, but I don't want to give sms/contacts permissions to it. How do I change it?
If you go to the application manager in your phone's settings and find the specific app you want to change permissions for, there should be a permissions option. You can each permission the app has there. Also, the next time you get a popup about the screen overlay, click the Open Settings option and scroll through the list of apps to find any that show the toggle in the on position. For me, the two apps that have screen overlay permissions are Messaging and Facebook Messenger. I have to disable them each time in order to accept permissions, then I have to re-enable the overlay later. It's a stupid system and I'm hoping the release of Android N will find a more elegant solution, but for now it's the only workaround I know of.

Click to collapse
Apps made before MM's permission changes don't prompt on demand and are all granted. When you try to disable one of their permissions in a list it will warn you that errors may occur.
I've found a workaround for quickly disabling an overlay for permission toggling. I posted it here:

In my micromax canvas a1 I don't know how to disable the screen overlay setting ????
I am using Moto M XT1663 with Android 6.0 While trying to enable Settings-> Google ->Security->Allow remote lock and erase, the phone gives message "Settings" can not be used, please try to allow permissions. Then it shows permissions screen for Settings app where "No permissions" is seen. There is apparently no way to give permissions to the Settings app?
Can anyone help with suggestions on how to give permissions to Settings apps?
Thanks

I have GCam installed on my mind as lite, but when I try to access it from lock screen, it says camera error, it needs permission, and when I go to the app permission, there is no appropriate option.
What is the solution please?
I've spent quite some time and stress figuring this out,but the jist is this.
sometimes in the google app it doesn't give you the option to enable ok google at all,or it gives you the option while screen is on only,i think it has to do with the google app not being a system app,so no required permissions that it needs(even if you enable them in settings)
to fix this:
1-delete the google app
2-reinstall it from play store
3-use an app to make it into a system app(i use lucky patcher)
4-reboot
5-profit??
if it doesnt't work try enabling all the permissions just to be safe, although to make it work you dont need ALL the permissions.
hope someone found this helpful.
