Almost 4 hours from 1% to 100% so I charge mostly overnight.
Charging speed is good, could be a little better. I charge it with a QC2.0 charger and it charges a little faster than with the provided one.
Good
I think, from my experiences, GApps drain the battery a lot. I think it would be a good idea to install LOS 15.1 by surdu_petru and LIVE without gapps (which sounds really horrific but yet possible) and just search xda for alternatives of google proprietary apps!

It charge in about 1h 30m - 2h (max) without using fast charge. I haven't really monitored it, but most of the times it charge in about 1h 30m or less.
My Huawei nova charges in 2H+ ......tell me a Fast charger....which companycharger is best for this

Best battery life I've ever had!!!
so nice
I must say, while battery life is exceptional, the charge time is not up to part with my S6. I forget what the maH was on the S6, but the S8+ doesn't charge as fast.

Mine is good
Why doesn't it support Quick Charge 4.0?
Charging speed on my s8+ is very fast. I don't mind that they didn't use fast charge 4.0 or 3.0 or 10.0, that's their choice and all I can do is look at the actual charging speed and not on the technology behind it and in my opinion it is very fast.
Compared to my Moto z force it's nowhere near as good. In half an hour the s8+ would be at around 40 while the z force is at around 60. What do you expect though from a 5amp charger. Just wish Samsung could've integrated the fast charge that the z force has.
its fast charge for the size of the battery
app "Ampere" from PlayStore tells me fast charging feeds it more than 1200mAh consistently
battery lasts more than a day
happy with the Plus
Nothing compares to the Mate 9 and it's Super Charging. 0 to 90 in less than an hour ?
You are right, that's an amazing feat for a piece of hardware
We are behind... a bit with our 8s
Best battery life

Don't depend that app just read the manual and observe your phone.
Can you recommend an alternative?
Yesterday I charged my s8+ with the original fast charger and the original cable and it took 1 hour and 34 mins to charge from 1% to 100% and today I tried charging with the original charger of my s5 and it took 1 hour and 48 mins from 1% to 100%.
This is it? Only about 15 mins difference? 1 hour and 34 mins is quick but the difference between fast charging and regular charging with a normal charger isn't big at all.
AQI7 update had really made things fabulous.
Better standby and faster wireless charging compared to earlier ones.
And QC 3.0 charger charged my S8+ from 12-100 in 1hr 30min
Sammy Finally switched to USB C!! Battery charges considerably faster than the S7 when using an aftermarket 2.4 amp charger.
Will be
SOmetimes it might be the phone of the century

slow 2-3h to full
It takes longer because it has a huge battery and while it has quick charge it's an older version. Fine for my use and how rarely I have to charge it though!
Kind of slow...... but it is a 5000mAh battery. It should take longer to charge.
I only have to charge every other day, and I do it at night, so it doesn't matter much to me.

i think its not fast at all.i was have nokia 7 plus before its charged from 5% to 100% in half hour...i think fast charging in galaxy a20 is fake
edit: i notice that the charger iam using is a normal charger not a fast charger..now i buy a fast charger with 3A and 18W and its now charging fast its take almost 40 minutes to charge from 10% to 100%
With the "2.0 A" charger that come with, the battery goes from 5 % to 100% in 1h30 min. Not fast at all ^_^ and I kind of suspect that 4000 mah battery too because it dosen't last more than 12 hours max if we don't use the phone too much
And after I've done some extreme tweaks to Services and turning data/bluetooth/wifi off, the battery lasted 27 hours, but I didn't use the phone except checking battery and viewing some short offline videos
But if you're gonna stream online videos and play video games, and switching between online apps like Facebook and Twitter and YouTube this 4000 mAh won't last more than 7 hours.

Dude, get another phone and stop spamming Sammy forums. I have no battery issues with mine and believe me, I am a heavy phone user.
As I typed this am on 23% and been on the phone since morning. My data, bluetooth, sync and GPS is on with occasional wifi toggle.

It charges overnight from 15% to 100% no problem. But it also supports fast charging, and the charging adapter that is in the package does not support fast charging, I used the adapter from my Samsung phone to find that out. With fast charging it takes ~4 hours to fully charge, and given the big battery that's not bad at all
15watts from my s7 edge fast charging only takes 1 hr 30 mins!
