It's first time when I'm using an IPS screen.
Some time ago I've set a black wallpaper on both phones, Nova and J5 2015 (previous phone, amoled display). There's a big difference and of course, it looks much better on J5 where the black is true black. I can say that Amoled is better than IPS, but both displays should have pros and cons.

With this phone, black is really black.
It's an AMOLED, so the answer to how much more black it could is none. None more black.
i have a issue where grey colors wash out in lower brigthness settings

Blacks are pretty much the same with honor 8.
It good no complain.
display is very good on this phone. Glass design is awesome and adds to the display it seems.

Blacks are blacks. I don't see greys, or purple hues. Great contrast, and great display.
for a 720p display its pretty vibrant and good colors.
