I hope this device receive EMUI 6 update, though highly unlikely.

So sad to see a flagship phone being neglected in updates.

The icons hurt my eyes.

By removing the "app" button, LG made an Android phone feel like an iPhone. This problem can easily be remedied in a number of ways, but it may be a hassle for people who don't know what a "launcher" is.
Obviously prefer stock, but non replaceable battery on Nexus devices does not do the job for me.

Actually I'm not fond of the stock feel. With that in mind, I don't like the white background in the G5 settings.. I wish I could change it. Maybe some xposed module.
I'm using Nova Launcher Prime.
@op, You Might really want to add a Poll to OP instead of Rating the Thread. That Stars Rating is intended for completely different purpose.

I keep telling people that the only thing better than stock Android is OxygenOS. It has a small handful of helpful features, like button customization and dark mode, to make using the phone more pleasureable than even a Nexus.
For me stock Android is the worst. Zero personalization. Oxygen OS has some tweaks but this is still not enough. I've flashed Ressurection Remix on the first day
More customisation than stock Android, but less than CM. Love Oxygen OS !
It's truly the bee's knees. Wholeheartedly agree with @svetius. Much better to use than a Nexus. Love the gestures and button customization.
I'm really happy about software, I would like a screenshot gesture like my previous zenfone 2 ... that's it

It's first time when I've used EMUI.
Well, it got many features as you may see on internet too and it looks quite nice. The colors used on EMUI 5 looks even nicer.
You could say that is bloated, but thanks to some of them you've got some nice features, out of the box.
However, I don't like the fact that persistent notifications can be dismissed by swiping them (e.g. Skype, Viber, Tasker and so on). They were supposed to be persistent, ya know?
I also don't like the fact that battery stats (e.g. SOT) is included in Phone Manager app. In my opinion, that app is a big bloatware and is the first one I would get rid of.

It is running the latest stock android 7.1.1 and is stock. So naturally the software experience is the best at this price point

Agree, and the added Moto app adds just enough customization like using the fingerprint sensor as the back, home, and recent apps button all in one. I love the stock look and feel with those added touches.

i have to admit Samsung One UI in version 3 is way less obtrusive than i expected it to be.
Haven't used Samsung in a while and now on this Tablet you can Disable all that nearby share stuff you don't use and all the other Samsung Exclusive features that you don't even need.
Pretty cool move there samsung.

I have a Samsung S6 and was pleasantly surprised that so many OEM and Google apps could be disabled out-of-the-box. I immediately rooted it though, so was able to completely uninstall or disable all the stuff I didn't want—176 packages, and I'm not kidding at all.
