Most likely is the original charger. My charger started acting up is not charging my battery more than 40% ...tried 4 days in a row. But charging using my aftermarket Aukey charger works without a problem. So try charging using another charger/cable.

Hey guys,
I read all the solutions but none of them works (somebody just says to reboot the phone, somebody says that it needs a charging cyrcles etc).
I have myd esire that stops charging at 99%.
If I unplug the AC (after like 12 hours), and then I replug it again, it finishes charging at 100%.
is there something I can do?
Had you done the wipe battery states already or you hadn't done it?
Swype is ruining my life!! :|

Time for some myth debunking I see.
Hey !
Actually, the charging process of most devices is to fully charge the battery up to 100%, and then to let it be discharged as if it were disconnected down to 90%, then charge it again back to 100%, and then let it discharge to 90% and so on...
This system allows to preseve the battery's lifetime because li-ion cells (and cells in general) don't like to be charging even at 100%
there is DEFINITELY something wrong with my phone: I had the battery at 28% (I read the percentage with battery calibrator), and now, after 1 hour, is at 35% :O
Charging a battery is obviously a chemical reaction - if you unplug it, the reaction stops, plug it in and it restarts.
Meaning:
If your phone stops charging at 99 % the chip on the battery reports its fully charged. If you un- and replug it the process starts again and the battery needs some time to send a fully charged report. If you check your battery the its somewhere between 98 and 103 % of the rated capacitance your battery is fine.

Delete your battery stats, charge it an entire night. Do you use the genuine charger? If the battery is still not fully charged then its most likely the battery. If it charges to 100% - but very slowly - its your phone or the charger.

I deled the battery stats yesterday night, but nothing changed.
the battery is genuine and new!and by new I mean that I bought it two days ago...
I don't use the geuine charger, I have the USB on the wall, why?
Try charging from a PC usb port instead of a wall charger. I only have anecdotal evidence, but I find that the battery lasts better when charged slowly from my PC than when charged while plugged into the wall (true for my Sony X8, also appears to be true for my Desire which I've had for less time). It takes probably 5 times longer to charge on a PC vs. the wall plug which I assume has something to do with it.
If you're on rooted sense rom, there are kernels which support USB fastcharge.

I have the same issue with my none OEM battery, I had tried 3 other different brands all have the same issue.
only way i can get it to charge fully on the stock battery is with the wall charger. using it with it plugged into the laptop pretty much just maintains it
It seems like my phone doesn't like those Samsung charger cubes anymore...it charges with 37Mah while a computer USB port charges with 387Mah...I checked with a BB A/C wall charger and it charges with 787mAH
It charged perfectly before with the charger cube, why is it acting up now?
I'm in CM 10.1.2 stable build btw.

another wall charger shows 878mAH but according to Gsam battery Monitor, it'll take 5 hours to charge from 70% lmao

GSAM BATTERY monitor says it is...
It's not the battery because I ttried it on another T989 phone
It's the charger because the charger is packing a punch with the maH
Reflashing the CM10.1 ROM fixed it, and when I restore with TB, issue happened again
I'm gonna reflash and not restore settings to see what happens.

Drain your battery to 0 percent then do a complete charge from 0% to 100%
Worked for me.
I have the same problem.I tried two different batterys and from both i get the same result.I think it's a problem with the sensors, when it reach 100% stops charging but in reality isn't charged at all.

Did you recalibrate the battery?
Here is a link to an app in the google play store
http://goo.gl/xRHjp7
I discharged it yesterday and then it charged completly in 15 minutes.I see in the app's screenshot that at 66% he has 3882 mv.On my phone at 100% it shows 4mv.
Hello,
I was wondering who is charging during the night and who is going also below 15% battery ?

I was having this problem when not using the included charger.
It seems that the phone actually requires to be quick charged (8V 2A) up to 65% or so and will then switch to the usual 5V 2A mode when it's reached this point.
As a result when I was using a regular charger (Nexus 7 charger, 5V 2A) the phone would "charge" but would actually slowly lose battery power during the night.
Gotta watch out for specific usb cables or charger adapters that don't provide enough power (as mentioned above).
I have 2 Nexus 7 FHD (2013) tablets and my Zenfone2 has exactly the same charger, 5.2V 1.35A
A standard cellphone charger is 5V and about 700-800mA.

I turned on Airplane mode and power saver while using a regular 5V Charger, and it was able to charge over night.....just not fully.
I thought I was the only one with this issue. Everything works fine with the included charger but when using my charger from my Nexus 4, it would charge a bit then at times start losing battery. I've used a friend's Nexus 5 charger and it has been hit and miss...sometimes it charges all the way sometimes it charges a bit and then starts losing battery.
Im also using ipad 2 charger..works well as a normal charger for zenfone 2. Especially if your gaming and charging same time..mine does not over heat..but dont recommend to do it always
In fact my question was more about who is charging all night their phones and also who is using his phone when the battery is lower than 15%.
Happy to see some others bugs on the ZenFone 2
