Google Voice typing & Google Now Issues - Wileyfox Swift

Hello, I'm new here. I have a Wileyfox Swift (gen 1) running DirtyUnicorns v11 (android 7.1.1, Rooted). Google now isn't working from the long tap/hold of the home button, I did assign it to do so, but nothing happens, also Google Now from any screen doesn't work, I looked into the settings and set the 'trusted voice' all to no avail, it does however say "Your device recognises you when you say " %1$s", what does this mean and how do I fix this? Would really like to use the google assistant and the voice typing input as that also doesn't work.
Google voice typing fixed, it helped if I had turned it on...

[Q] Google voice typing enabling itself

I switch off Google voice typing in settings and at some point it switches back on again.
Have I missed something in the settings?
Workaround
I have battled with this problem as well. I am using Google Keyboard, and am very happy with it.
Today I found a decent workaround:
In Google Keyboard settings, there is a setting for "Voice Input key", under which you can either move the little mike button to the symbol keyboard, or remove it altogether.

OK Google hotword detection doesn't work.

OK Google hotword detection doesn't work at all for me. I can manually select the microphone in Google Now and voice search works, but it doesn't detect OK Google. Furthermore I can't set up OK Google hotword detection from any screen. I can get to the screen where it says to say OK Google three times, which I do, but nothing at all happens. Audio History is on, language is English (US). I don't see any setting on the phone or in Google that would seem to block it.
Weirdly this post was originally only going to be about setting up the hotword detection from any screen, I've never been able to set that up, but at the very least, detection from Google Now worked fine. But just testing it when typing this post up, I realized that even that doesn't work anymore, but it did like a week ago.
I'm rooted but basically stock, no custom recovery. Only change would be deleting a couple stock apps and adding back/home/menu softkeys at the bottom of the screen. What gives? Anyone have an idea?
Simple as disabling on screen phone in settings
I had the same problem and disabling on screen phone in settings fixed it instantly.

Google Now acting flaky...

When I first got the phone, Google Now was very responsive to my "Ok, Google" command. Then,I disabled S Voice and learned that you must enable S Voice in order to use the Google Now command from any app or from the lock screen. Now, nothing. I can press on the Google Now icon and whether it records my voice or not is iffy. I can no longer press the dial key on my Bluetooth to get voice dialing commands. Nothing works! Anybody have an idea of how to fix this? I have tried to go into Google settings to allow use of the command even when the phone is off, but when the screen pops up to program Ok Google with my voice, it just sits there. [emoji16]

[Q] CM12 2/23 Issues with voice to text

I recently installed CM12, and seems to be running great. No major issues, however I do use voice to text pretty often.
I have all relevant and necessary apps installed, talk back, google talk, etc. When I go into keyboard to enable to "mic" button, it is greyed out and says I need to enable it in the options, however as far as I can tell it's all enabled.
Google now utilizes the mic functionality just fine.
Again, everything seems okay, just can't seem to get voice-to-text and more importantly the mic button on the keyboard to work. Or rather it won't let me enable the button. Is this simply a known issue? I can't seem to find much on this topic.

Google Now "ok google" From Any Screen glitch

So I've found an annoying glitch...
On my Samsung Galaxy Note 4 at&t I've enabled google now/ voice search.
Whenever I go into settings>voice>"ok google" detection and enable "From any screen", it will work one time, but after I hit home, it will not detect "ok google" from any screen, other than long pressing Home.
I've worked to try troubleshooting it myself, and have disabled the darned, piss-off S-Voice crap, but have had no luck.
Also I've noticed that the one initial time you are able to open voice search from any screen, the voice search app UI will not show up, unless the search bar is enabled on your desktop. (I'm using nova launcher, so I'll test with "Google Now" launcher also).
Other than that, anyone else know of a way to fix this? One result I've found while googling this issue is enabled English as your primary language... Did not help.
Thanks!
UPDATE:
Google Now Launcher:
Similar problem, but mostly works from Home screen.
Still no "from any screen" capabilities. smh
