If you look at the development section, there has been an LOS build by XePeleato but not quite suitable for daily use. With the newly released source, a stable LOS14 and other N ROMs can be built.

Synced with original sources, we can expect custom ROMs without heavy bugs (unless some really hard to fix), supported by more developers that are more motivated to work on original codes to compile their own about, and many more compatibility in general third party development

I can do .. but i dint own this device to do some favour for them. But if someone is ready fo test , why not ? I wil build them what they need.

less bugs and stable ROM 's , if you want to know ask dev gopinaidu77 ,if he had time he will make one.
Our donation will just buy devs a coffee. But that will boost them to work more than what we expect for this forum

Dude, keep calm... It is possible now, yes, but mind at the fact that developers have a life too. It's useless to keep asking for a LineageOS rom just one day after the sources are released, when they'll have time (but overall, motivation) to do that, I'm sure that they'll do with no need to ask 'em. Maybe they're already working 'bout, maybe they have something else to do at the moment

So I tried FXP-cm-12-20150412-UNOFFICIAL-seagull.zip its android 5.0.2
-3G/4G not working and 2G has some fails, I lost connection many times
-camera still not working
positive feedback: its very fast/fluid and the interface is really nice.
I hope they still develop it because we are so close

I'm launching a project for the porting of Miui Elephone P8000;
They are looking for employees who can contribute to the project.
I decided to use the ROM MIUI Elephone the P6000 which will be added to the libraries of the P8000 to allow hardware to interact.
The work will be done on GitHub.
If people are interested I provide other information in private;

I just mean, noone was able to fix camera on AOSP 5.1 yet, but on CM12.1 it is working, so maybe we have a Chance for a working camera??

I know what you mean but he's focus on AOSP and trying to get all working from scratch without depending on MIUI libraries. In theory it will work but I'm not completely sure.
Old kernels had boe's screen not working...did he fix this?
Also this kernel's version is 3.10.72 , idk how he did it but it seems like good news

Not to sound greedy, but I saw Mi 3 and Mi 4 getting unofficial AOSP Oreo and now even Nexus 5 (hammerhead) though it has some bugs. But it meas devs have already started working on Oreo roms. If any dev or fellow armani user can share any information related to Orea for armani it'd be great.

yeah we will get it sooner or later as few devs working on it ( they won't tell us until they boot android 8 on the device so no promises from them to bring oreo to you eventually they work hard to get one for armani ) probably we won't get aosp as it's very difficult to build, surely we can expect lineage 15 as it includes legacy devices support ... until then no eta or annoying posts on forum or on their pm let them work on it :fingers-crossed:

lol dude , I think you don't have any idea about custom roms.. development can be done by Dev.. Vivo is not handling customs ROMs.. it will be done over time.

Time has come and gone. No devlopmrnt because vivo is 3rd class company when it comes to support product development. Except the camera nothing is good. I regret my decision.
I have started again using my OnePlus 2 which has received Android Pie just within a week after release of sources by google. Thanks to devs for Op2 for support of such an old device.
No offence. I respect choice of other people here. This is just my personal views on vivo
