[REF] Supreme Commander of The Universe Welcomes You

I would like to start off by welcoming all new and active users to the General Forum for the HTC Desire Z.
I am TheRomMistress (or TRM for short), your Forum Moderator.
I am here to help in anyway I can, so please contact me if you have any suggestions, problems, comments, etc. with this forum. While I cannot promise you will get an immediate resolution, or that I will be able to act on every suggestion, I can promise it will receive my attention.
With that being said, please take a moment to review XDA forum rules. Anyone found intentionally violating these rules will be punished.
The most important "rule" I urge you not to forget is, HAVE FUN and BE COURTEOUS! Thank you and I look forward to keeping "ORDer" and "Peace" throughout the forum.
FORUM RULES
1. Search before posting.
Use one of our search functions before posting, whether you have a question or something new to share, it's very likely someone already asked that question or shared that news.
2. Member conduct.
2.1 Language: XDA is a worldwide community. As a result what is ‘ok’ to say in your part of the world may not be ok in someone else’s part of the world. Please think about who is reading what you write. Keep in mind that what you think of as acceptable use of language may not be acceptable to others. Conversely, while reading member posts, remember that word you find offensive may not be to the writer. Tolerance is a two way street.
2.2 Nudity: XDA is used by people of all ages, including minors. It's not acceptable to post nude/pornographic imagery, which includes exposure of the male or female genitalia or of female breasts.
2.3 Flaming: XDA was founded as a group of people sharing information about certain mobile phones. Sharing does not involve virtual yelling (flaming) it does involve working together to solve problems in an environment of mutual respect and understanding. Losing your temper and flaming another member, or group of members, is not acceptable behavior.
2.4 Personal attacks, racial, political and/or religious discussions: XDA is a discussion forum about certain mobile phones. Mobile phones are not racial, political, religious or personally offensive, therefore none of these types of discussions are permitted on XDA.
2.5 New Members: Treat new members the way you would have liked to have been treated when you were a new member. Provide the new members with guidance, advice and instruction always with respect and courtesy.
2.6 All members are expected to read and adhere to the XDA rules.
3. Post only using a clear subject and message.
You're most likely to receive a helpful answer to your question if you use a short subject title that describes your problem and a message that explains in detail what your problem is and what you've tried to solve it.
4. Use the English language.
We understand that with all the different nationalities not everyone speaks English well, but please try. If you're really unable to post in English use an online translator, You're free to include your original message in your own language below the English translation.
5. Post a message only once.
As a large forum we don't need unnecessary clutter, You're free to edit your message as you like, so if you do not receive an answer revisit your message and see if you can describe your problem better. Not everyone is online at the same time, it might take a while before you receive an answer.
6. Do not post warez.
If a piece of software requires you to pay to use it, either pay or find your cracks and serials somewhere else. We do not accept warez nor do we permit any member to promote or describe ways in which Warez, cracks, serial codes or other means of avoiding payment, can be obtained.
7. Do not spam.
If you wish to advertise a product, contact us we provide ads. But do not post it in the forums, it will be removed and you're likely to receive a ban.
You are however allowed to sell used goods like your own device, parts of your device or accessories for your device in the marketplace forum, please read the rules there before posting. (This rule includes signatures, if you use a signature it will appear in your post)
8. Donations.
We appreciate all donations to xda-developers.com, it keeps our forum online and well maintained. As a user you're allowed to ask for donations in your signature as a thank you for your hard work. However donations up front are not allowed, this forum is about sharing, not about getting paid to do something, that's what your job is for.
9. Don't get us in trouble.
Don't post copyrighted materials or do other things that will obviously lead to legal trouble. If you wouldn't do it on your own homepage, you probably don't want to do it here either. This does not mean we agree with everything the software piracy lobby try to impose on us, it simply means you cannot break any laws here, since we'll end up dealing with legal hassle caused by you. Please use common sense: respect the forum, its users, and those that write great code.
10. Help others if you can.
If you see posts from others where you can help out, please do. This place exists because people are helping each other, and even if you are relatively new to the matter, there's probably already quite a few people newer than you that would benefit from what you've learned. Don't be shy.
11. Don’t post with the intent on selling something.
As an elaboration to rule number 7, don’t use XDA to advertise your product or service. If you are the proprietor of a for-pay product or service, you may use XDA to get feedback, provide beta access, or offer support on the product, but you may not make any posts with the primary intent of selling. This includes posting press releases, announcements, or links to downloads for trial software; the only exception to this is when you’re posting an exclusive release to XDA. Off-site downloads are permitted as long as the site does not require a fee or mandatory registration to access the content.
12. Using the work of others.
If you are developing something that is based on the work of another Member, you MUST first seek their permission, and you must give credit to the member whose work you used. If a dispute occurs about who developed / created a piece of work, first try to settle the matter by private message and NOT in open forum. If this fails then you may contact a moderator with clear evidence that the work was created by you.
Convincing evidence will result in copied work being removed. If there is no clear evidence you created the work then in the spirit of sharing all work will remain posted on the forums.
These rules apply to all software posted on XDA unless that software comes with a license that waives these rules.

Hi there!
Beware. Cleaning up mess in dev forums can be a lot more time consuming that you may realize. People don't care to search, to read previous pages of threads, ask the same questions over and over again and tend to spam them with sentences like "me too".

Why was Phiexz removed from this forum ? only 2 weeks after you came on?
He was almost, if not really the sole and principal spirit of GIO ROM/Kernels/updater
it was the first rom maker with a spirit of stabilizing and making things work.
It is a BAD thing for XDA (after Phiexz asked multiple times for a separate GIO
channel(This was NOT LOW activity!!!!)
It feels as killing the golden egg, and for me a less reason of being here.
If it would be Phiexz initiative (after promessing 2 weekly updates) and nothing further on his personal web site ... it seems as if he is hit pretty hard...

Question Is TWRP development for our device dead?

I've seen that TWRP development for our device has stopped getting updates since a couple months ago, even though there are a lot of problems yet to solve, and huge stability issues, will it ever be restarted again?
there's no pay for the developer, if you want get more supports, you can pay him, and the twrp need more test and time

My dear son, sadly this father of yours lacks the technical abilities and tools to complete such a task, as much as it pains me to say so myself.
Even though enthusiasm for knowledge I do not lack, my present condition does not allow me to embark in so fulfilling journey at the moment.
Moderator Announcement
I've cleaned this thread in order to re-establish the standards regarding member conduct, language and mutual respect as set by rule no. 2 of the XDA Forum Rules. My actions included slight post edits but I've also deleted a few posts that were off-topic to the thread's topic and only related to the rant that had developed. For those who like to review the rules, to which we all agreed to adhere when we registered on this private platform, I add an excerpt below:
Spoiler: Rule No. 2 "Member Conduct"
2. Member conduct.
2.1 Language: XDA is a worldwide community. As a result, what may be OK to say in your part of the world, may not be OK elsewhere. Please don't direct profanity, sexually explicit language or other offensive content toward Members or their work. Conversely, while reading posts from other members, remember that the word you find offensive may not be offensive to the writer. Tolerance is a two-way street.
2.2 Nudity: XDA is used by people of all ages, including minors. It is unacceptable to post nude or pornographic imagery, which includes the exposure of male or female genitalia and / or female breasts.
2.3 Flaming / Lack of respect: XDA is about sharing and this does not involve virtual yelling (flaming) or rudeness. Flaming or posting with a lack of respect is unacceptable. Treat new members in the manner in which you would like to have been treated when you were a new member. When dealing with any member, provide them with guidance, advice and instructions when you can, showing them respect and courtesy. Never post in a demanding, argumentative, disrespectful or self-righteous manner.
2.4 Personal attacks, racial, political and / or religious discussions: XDA is a discussion forum about certain mobile phones. Mobile phones are not racial, political, religious or personally offensive and therefore, none of these types of discussions are permitted on XDA.
2.5 All members are expected to read and adhere to the XDA rules.
We like and appreciate vivid discussions, exchange of experiences, knowledge and opinions. Although a very few questions are useless or off-topic on XDA, the majority is beneficial to many members and deserve an answer. However, if somebody cannot contribute please do not post but if you have a valid contribution please share it but always with respect and a language that we use if we look into each others eyes. Thanks very much for your cooperation.
P.S. I've subscribed to this thread and will monitor the development. I will directly and personally contact anybody who doesn't take my above request for granted.

At the moment using unofficial Twrp is not the wright way to install custom roms. There are some good Twrp as Nebrassy's project, I've tried it to install a lot of roms and is very good. Waiting for Nebrassy official and stable release, I recommend you to use official LOS recovery using adb sideload.

I'll just wait for an official release, trying to switch from one ROM to another and always having to format data is annoying, wish that can get fixed on a future update

WhatsApp/Telegram Groups and Channels - Going Forward
Hello XDA family! Just notifying all members that posting certain links to Telegram and other sites like WhatsApp is now allowed on XDA.
What does that mean?
We will allow links to messages on Telegram and/or other platforms anywhere, as long as they provide content for a discussion, question, or is pertinent news. This is exactly like the guidelines for YouTube links.
What about download links?
Download links from hosts, platforms or other sources are allowed as long as they do not require registration. Some Telegram links require registration for downloads, so they will not be allowed. Please check them before posting.
What is NOT changing?
Only one link to a Telegram support group is allowed in the first post of a development thread on the condition that main support is still provided on XDA. This means you can mention Telegram group: https://t.me/abc in the first post as long as you're providing thorough support in your XDA thread.
What is NOT allowed?
Posts like For support, join my Telegram group: https://t.me/abc. This means you're not willing to provide support to users on XDA.
Drop-and-run posts/threads are still not allowed under the self-promotion rule. So posts/threads like "Come to my channel for xyz" or "Watch my video and like my channel" are still not allowed. Such links will be removed and the member will be contacted regarding XDA Forum Rule #5 for self-promotion (under bullet point #6):
We thank all members for their cooperation in this matter, and wish you a pleasant stay on XDA.
Regards,
Your XDA Moderating Team

Also, at least one of you has recently used profanity in another thread that I found. Do not use profanity and don't try to get around the profanity filter by using abbreviations or modified versions of profanity. This is against Rule 2.1 of XDA Developers Forum Rules :
