Google maps Works perfectly
And GPS Tool shows 6 meter precision.
did you try toggling the gps on and off from quick settings? i occasionally have this issue, turning the gps off then back on typically fixes it.
Stock rom?
I have the same problem!
GPS toggle on/off does not work.
I have the Stock Rom and Factory Reset did not solve.
Any ideas what happening?
I've had the issue before. Reinstall the app/ Clear cache. Toggling the location service on and off works as well.
I sent a email to waze development team and they said they are looking if there are some problem. Also, I hope maybe the update (android 7.1.1) that is near the corner may resolve the problem. Also this problem is not everytime, since yesterday reboot it is working normally. Very strange.

Hey guys, I'm totally stumped. Recently after flashing a new rom update, my GPS no longer works. I've tried running GPS status (reset the internal GPS), tried flashing to different ROMS, and also tried going into root>gps.config>changing LPP from 0 to 3. Nothing seems to be working as I can't get a lock. Any ideas? I was on Temasek v82, but I've also tried cdmvirt S5 port. I know that CM has been having GPS issues lately as well.
So you tried reloading the stock ROM and that didn't work either?
Same problem here. When I use the GPS TEST it works. When I try using Waze or Google Maps, nothing. What's funny, if there's some fun in this, is that waze works ok in background when GPS TEST is open. At least I get voice directions. When I try oppening both in multi-window, Waze stops again... I've tried everything, from stock to every rom I found, but nothing makes the GPS works with Waze and GM.
I have had my M9 for just over a week and have been unable to use sat nav apps, because they crash randomly while I'm driving.
When I have used sat nav without having the phone connected to power at the same time then it has worked fine.
I was wondering if anyone else has noticed the same issue, could it be down to overheating perhaps..?? I can't think of any other reason why having the phone powered would affect the running of sat nav apps.

My M8 was doing this. I even cleared the data on Google Maps but still maps would randomly do "unfortunately, maps has stopped" while driving. My M9 seems to be working fine so far, though. I am not sure what caused it but I bet it is the same thing.

Some people commented on the latest Android System Webview update that it has fixed their app crashes with the M8. You might try updating that if possible. Otherwise I'm not sure what would cause that to happen even after clearing the app data. Strange issue.
Has anyone figured this out yet? This is infuriating. I had it reboot twice in 30 min with my stock ROM, so I had OP support "wipe" it, and reload the OS. After that, the GPS was all ****ed up so I said screw it and rooted it.
30 min into my drive into work today, it REBOOTED while running CM13 nightly and using Waze.
Charging doesn't change the outcome, bluetooth, etc. etc.
I am about to throw this phone out and get a pixel
never had this problem with MAPS.ME.
which navigations apps cause the problem?
I've been using Waze and Google Maps. It is totally random. Sometimes it won't happen for a week then all the sudden it reboots 4 times in a row.
Are you maybe using Xposed + n-ify?
The only time I had issues when using google maps navigation was when using n-ify.
Other than that, I used tha OP3 as a navigator for hours on our last scotland trip
and occasionally the last couple days without any issues.
No xposed or n-ify
+1.
I am using BJRR rom, which is also CM based.
But this problem is not persistent. Sometimes I can driver 1 hour without problem, but it could also happen within 15 minutes after I start driving.
I thought switching back to stock ROM can solve the problem, but I feel lucky that I haven't done that because it seems also to be an issue in stock, at least some of us has.
i had random restarts on 3.2.6 and 3.2.7 with root and exposed during navigation.
about 2 weeks ago switched to tesla n -- no reboots.
I have the same issue. It happens very randomly and in all roms I've used. (only marshmallow based) Usually after couple of hours of navigation either the phone reboots or looses GPS signal and only way to restore GPS lock is to reboot.
Hi everyone.
I'm experiencing severe location inaccurateness using my one Oneplus 3 in germany.
I've already tried several different Oreo roms (OOS, LOS, RR, AOSPA), but all seemed to have the same location problems, especially indoors.
Neither cleaning agps nor changing the gps.conf seemed to improve the accuracy.
On the nougat based resurrection remix however everything was working fine for years, so I continued using this rom till now.
Recently the gps fix changed drastically within seconds, for about 100 meters.
The temporary solution was to reset the cache of the google play services and reboot the phone. This workaround lasts for 1-2 days, then I must clear the cache again.
Is anyone else having this issue or knows of a solution?
I would also be grateful for rom recommandations with stable gps.
Thanks in advance.

Never have this issue, even if i'm a flash'a'holic and have test (too?) many ROM. Nitrogen PIE work fine. LOS 14, 15, and Unofficial 16
works fine. Resurection, Havoc, Arrow, have their own problem but works fine. OOS and OOS_OB works fine...
Maybe one your apps is in conflict with the GPS tracker, or maybe you have a hardware related issue.
Hey,
I'm having a problem with my GPS and compass for a long time now. I installed multiple custom ROMs and currently using Havoc 3.2.
The GPS/location signal are fine. But in Google maps or Pokemon GO, the compass is not working at all. It keeps spinning and turning around. It never points in the same direction. Does someone know how to fix this? Did I mess something up, and is it possible to fix this or is this hardware related :crying:?
