RR Rom dirty flash oneplus3 over unified build and ota problem - OnePlus 3 Questions & Answers

Hi,
i have
oneplus 3
resurrection remix RR-N-v5.8.3-20170603-oneplus3Official
twrp 3.0.4-1 inofficial.
I flashed the unified RR build for 3/3T because it was newer at the date of flashing one month ago. downloaded from here:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/resurrectionremix/files/oneplus-unified-3-3T/
I have 2 questions:
1.
Can i dirty flash the oneplus3 build of RR (only for op3, not op3/3T) over the unified 3/3t build that is installed at the moment? downloaded from here:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/resurrectionremix/files/oneplus3/
(do i have to take the official or newer weekly??)
The "single" op3 build is updated more often now whereas the unified build has not been updated for 5 weeks.
2.
Ota update search worked fine until today(just the search, there were no new updates until now). I experimented a little with Substratum and compiled and acivated a New theme. Short after i went to ota update function for a search and found out that it is saying "cannot check updates" (instead of "no updates found" before). Is this issue connected to the New Substratum theme? i have not changed other things on the phone. I deactivated the theme but ota error remains. Maybe ota Problem is just a coincedence with substratum. but what could be the reason that it has worked but stopped working?
Thanks for help.
Flotsch1

Update:
Just flashed latest weekly ober the unified build. It worked. But ota still broken. Ehen i click in link-->Rom in the ota settings, it downloads old unified 20170603 build that i Bad installed before update with 20170716 weekly, so the "get resurrected" APP still thinksni have öd unified build.

Update:
Cleaned cache and data of the geht resurrected APP. Now all empty in ota settings because it cannot connect to the Servers. But why?

Likely better to go ask in the ROM's thread than here.

Scan for mobile network / network operators

Hello,
i'm using the last RR Build (5.7.3) with CM Kernel and rooted.
I can't find the option to select the network operator manually.
With the original Oxygen OS i can search for network operators.
Please tell me where i can find the "scan menu" in RR or Cyanogenmod
Thanks
Mine's been missing for awhile. I thought it was due to the OxygenOS 3.2.4 OTA that I manually applied (which borked my Baseband and had to run old fixes to get it back). My original post regarding this is here.
So my question is this, what was the last OxygenOS you installed on your phone before the issue?
I installed and updated the OxygenOS before i changed to RR.
I think it was the 3.2.4 version of oxygenOS.
@matze3275 I know it took awhile to respond but I do know it's not OTA related it's something to do with a change that was made in CM13.

When Official CM14.1?

When will have official support?
I wanna know too!
No reason to expect official support for bleeding-edge android software on old (budget) devices. Sorry to be the one to tell you :/
Swift will get official cm14.1 support dont worry guys... Even moto g got why the swift dont. Developers stated that at least 70% of the actual devices will get it. And if u dont get it for swift seed will get it soon and u can use it on swift like i use crackling on gm4g

My phone is a gm 4g but i have always treated it as a swift
It has also stopped CM13 support? The latest nightly is on 18 November.
They have not stoped cm13 support but updates it more rarely because the build only when major changes are there. And second they are working on cm14.1 and are focused more on new cm version...
Guys I'll be building an unofficial CM14.1 for the swift tonight, I'll post when it's here
Why dont. Build rr remix N 5.8.0 64bit so we can use it with foxy kernel...

Do you have a source for these claims?
The cm13 nightlies have all moved to weeklies unless some urgent bug is found,

Yeah I stumbled on that problem too and gave up.
Ok, so we have to wait for an official release of CM14.1 for the swift.

I found out that you can install official CM14.1 for seed on WileyFox Swift. First flash stock General Mobile 4G ROM using fastboot, then flash TWRP for seed and CM14.1 for seed.
I'll send detailed instructions if you'd like.

Okay so here is what I did and I am now running official CM14.1 arm (so no 64 bit). From my experience it is very fast, very battery friendly and most importantly: very stable.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
TWRP for WileyFox Swift (crackling)
General Mobile 4G (seed) stock rom
TWRP for Android One 2nd gen (seed)
CyanogenMod 14.1 for Android One 2nd gen (seed)
Optional, but I strongly recommend these:
Open GApps (ARM, 7.1, pico variant)
Google Pixel Bootlogo and Bootanimation
INSTRUCTIONS:
First, I suggest making a backup using TWRP for WileyFox Swift (crackling). I strongly suggest that you backup everything, in case something goes wrong or you aren't satisfied with CM14.1.
Now for effectively installing CM14.1 on the device:
YOU WILL LOSE ALL DATA AND INTERNAL STORAGE PAST THIS POINT UNLESS YOU BACKUP!
Download the General Mobile 4G (seed) stock rom. We need this in order to make sure the device identifies as an Android One Second Generation device (seed) instead of WileyFox Swift (crackling). The devices are clones and are essentially the same hardware. Once you've downloaded the stock rom, unzip it. Then put your device in fastboot mode and execute "INSTALL_MOB30Z.exe". Choose "A. INSTALL STOCK ROM" and wait for it to complete.
Now install TWRP for Android One 2nd gen (seed).
Now boot into TWRP recovery and got to Wipe > Advanced Wipe. Check Dalvik / ART Cache, System, Data, Internal Storage and Cache.
When the wipe is complete, go to Reboot > Recovery to reboot into recovery again. Now install CyanogenMod 14.1 for Android One 2nd gen (seed).
If desired, install Open GApps (ARM, 7.1, pico variant). To replace the "General Mobile" boot image with the Google logo, also flash Google Pixel Bootlogo and Bootanimation.
Let me know if you need help. Happy holidays! :fingers-crossed:

IMPORTANT: Please note that the latest official TWRP for seed is not yet updated to handle CM's updater app. If users want to update to latest nightly, they need to download the zip and flash normally using TWRP. CM updater app is not recommended until the patched official TWRP is released.

Yes, I had the same problem. Going to wait until the updates stabilize or if someone can help understand which Gapps to use.
Thanks
I was experiencing the same issue. Now I've installed an older version and its working fine.
Back to ground zero
It worked fine for a few hours. Now it's unusable again.
Here's some good alternatives that seems to be pretty stable for the LOS14.1/CM14.1 ROM's (though the Delta GApps are good, i would recommend the Dynamic GApps as the first alternative):

Hi gueys,
last week i installed Lineage 14.1 on my galaxy s 5, coming from the samsung firmware. After flashing the device always freezed after short time. In a forum I read, that the problem is at the current opengapps-Version. After flashing an older version of the gapps the problem seemed solved. But today the problem is back, i guess there was an Update for the Google Apps. Now I will test the mentioned alternatives.
I apologize to my English, it is my schoolglish and the school is already 20 years ago.
I tried Dynamic Gapps, it worked for about 20 mins; I was able to install apps and everything but then it started to freeze. The only one that hasn't frozen ever for me was: crDroid 7.1, but the disadvantages were that Mobile Data didn't work nor did the camera! Anyone else found a fix, I want to get a good ROM which is blazing fast!
Full dynamic gapps woked for me. Thanx a lot for this post. I was really starting to pull my hair out here!!
If you guys haven't figured it out yet. A Dalwik wipe will fix this issue!
Hi.
Definitely working nothing. I tried every variation which was posted in this an other topics.
After "Google Play Services" upgrade everything going bad, freeze, restart, etc., can't use the phone.
I tried to use "Gapps" before and after 2017.01.19.
If somebody have any useful solution please share with me.
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
Finally I found on this webpage the "Official Galaxy S5 Duos Lineage OS 14.1 [klteduos] [7.1.2 Nougat]" lineageosdownloads.com/download-official-galaxy-s5-duos-lineage-os
I downloaded "lineage-14.1-20170503-nightly-klteduos-signed.zip" and with this rom working perfect every new "GAPPS" before and after update too.

That's great news you were able to get your klteduos booted. I've been trying since January to get a newer version that will even boot and have been unsuccessful as you've described.
Many of the images I've managed to download from the source you quote above seem to be completely hopeless in terms of doing virtually anything (such as getting beyond the boot screen).
Currently (early/mid July 2017) only the following images are available:
lineage-14.1-20170705-nightly-klteduos-signed.zip
lineage-14.1-20170621-nightly-klteduos-signed.zip
lineage-14.1-20170614-nightly-klteduos-signed.zip
lineage-14.1-20170607-nightly-klteduos-signed.zip
I've tried every single one of these and they all hang at boot time, requiring removal of the battery (god knows I won't be getting any newer Samsung mobiles as one cannot even "remove" the battery from the later models).
An online search for lineage-14.1-20170503-nightly-klteduos-signed.zip reveals several sites that once had the image, but none currently.
May I kindly entice you to upload the image you successfully booted somewhere online?
I've actually been trying to find an image that functions with both SIMs since December 2016, when the second SIM simply stopped connecting to the network (irrespective of which SIM slot they are in - yes, I did connect successfully when using the second SIM in another phone and I have been carrying around two phones since that time, AARGH!).
Non-stop headaches with these mobile devices nowadays...

Say 'OK Google' any time greyed out [8.1 Custom ROM]

So I flashed both AICP and ABC January 8.1 ROMs today (one at a time) using 2 different unofficial OpenGApps packages. After setting up the ROMs (re-install backup from the cloud option), I noticed that I was unable to activate the Say 'OK Google' any time in the Google Now app. When I opened the section in settings<voice the switch quickly moves to the off (left). Underneath it says that this is unavailable in my language (UK English - hence the grey not gray in the heading btw!).
I tried many many solutions from Google, clearing data etc but nothing worked. I have since reinstalled stock January 8.1 firmware and it works fine. I re-installed from backup in the cloud option like before.
What is going on? Has this happened to anyone else? Can you offer a solution?
[EDIT] - I tried a different third GApps package (unofficial BeansGApps). Problem solved.
Hi am2012
I have exactly the same problem. I've tried everything (except changing the gapps).
Which BeansGApps have you installed?
I only found this file to download (BeansGapps-NoGAssistant_arm64-8.1.x-unofficial-December.zip), but "NoGAssistant" is strange...
Could you post the link from you downloaded ???
Thanks...
EDIT - Thanks a lot am2012. It's finally solved!!! I intalled the BeansGapps file ( BeansGappsMini-arm64-8.x.x-unofficial-Feb2018.zip ) from the AndroidHostFile site.

I dirty flashed fine. Might be something at the back.
For now I am working with the LOS14.1 issues, worst case scenario, try this, clean flash previous build, setup and then dirty update. Tell me if it works! So sorry for the inconveniences.
Thanks, that worked great! Thank you for your work!
Works fine so far. But there's a folder "!ReadyToFlash\Root_Files" which includes amongst others "busybox_signed.zip" and "SR2-SuperSU-2.79....zip".
I've flashed them both successfully in TWRP but after reboot I can't see Busybox nor SuperSU and the Device is still unrooted (developer options offers root access as "only ADB" only).
Tried to root the Device again. This Time with Nexus Root Toolkit, which installs it's own SuperSU. But no effect again.
After this I found the official LineageOS 15.1 addonsu-15.1-arm-signed.zip and flashed it as well. Again to no avail.
Bootloader Mode says "Lock State: Unlocked". So what's wrong here?
And as I've now flashed so far three different versions of SuperSU and BusyBox (which I can't find anywhere although a root checker says it's installed), do I have to uninstall these files to prevent further problems caused by orphan files from these Installations?

Maybe these are left-overs from a previous ROM? Better delete them and use Magisk which is known to work with this ROM.
