Help needed, Odin flash failed SGH-T989 - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-T989

I'm trying to flash a stock T989UVKL1_HOME_SGH-T989user_CL799405_REV00.tar
but it keeps failing with
"Xmit Write fail"
"XmitData fail.."
Does anyone know what does that mean?
Everything else flashed properly, like image, system, recovery, cache, modem, etc.

I was trying to return to stock after flashing Lineage OS 14.1.
Everything was running great on Lineage OS, but I had some other issue that I had to downgrade to an earlier version, which got stuck and it wouldn't go into recovery mode, so I was force to flash back to stock via Odin, only to encounter this issue.
Does the virtual partition size change for Lineage OS affects the stock ROM flashing?
I tried using a PIT file to restore back the partition sizes to stock, but it still gives me the same error.

NVM, the problem was the USB port on the phone, it was too lose
after "glue-ing" it i was able to complete the flash.

[Q] Converting to stock from GPE, not sure what happened

I had my AT&T HTC One M8 on the Google Play Edition RUU for a while and decided to switch back to Sense using this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2733523
However, I can't figure out how to get a new operating system back on there. I flashed some firmware and after a few issues with the phone not going into custom recovery mode (solved by using a different firmware version), I got TWRP to work. I still can't get an actual OS on there, though.
Trying to boot the phone to system just opens recovery and I would normally try to install a ROM via TWRP but any time I try to put files on the phone, I get an error like this:

"lightbox_next": "Next",

"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I'm clearly not an expert with this stuff. I just want to get my phone back to the way it was when I got it. Anyone have any ideas?

[Help required] Can't mount /system, /data and /cache in TWRP

Hi, I'm having problems with trying to mount /system and the rest on TWRP 2.8.70 and TWRP 3.0.2.0. It has been giving me "Failed to /data (invalid arguments)" and the likes (as shown below).
Is there anyway to fix this? I tried to factory reset it a few times through TWRP but it did not work.

*Bump* I need help.
Had the same issue. You need to flash a stock ROM and wipe with stock recovery. All your data will be lost but your partitions will be fine

Sorry for the late reply! I can't access the stock recovery even though I flashed the stock rom multiple times. This tablet belongs to my mother and it randomly died when booting up. This is why I was trying to flash a custom ROM onto the device. Then this issue popped up and now I'm stuck.

HTC M9 stuck on TWRP (cannot install or do anything else)

Well, I should start with that this is my gf's phone and I've installed LinageOS quite a while ago. She's saying that she was installing a weekly update when the phone crashed and after that it started to stay on the boot window for hours. When I tried to manually update the phone via TWRP it showed this:

"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

}
Tried some Youtube guides, as changing from EXT 4 to EXT 2 and back again, repairing the file system, but it just says the same thing all the time. Any ideas how to fix that? Thanks in advance!
I'm not very experienced in that (only installed a few ROMs to a few different phones), so it would be great to get some step-by-step guide, so I don't mess something up <3
Flash back to stock and start over. If the ruu can't fix it then nothing will.

Twrp img fails to flash

Hi there
Trying to flash TWRP on my Pixel 2 XL, but it keeps giving me the failed error.
Why is this happening? Did everything that I do to root most android phones.
Any ideas?

The command is fastboot boot recovery
fastboot boot TWRP.img
Then flash the TWRP installer zip
Also to add, there is no recovery partition any longer.
Boot.img and recovery.img both exist in the boot partition.
And no need to use 3.1.1 alpha 1, there's 3.2.1-0 stable build.
I did exactly as you guys told me, did a quick backup in TWRP and somehow it actually ended up erasing my whole internal storage. :\
How the hell did it do that?!
And it keeps booting only into TWRP, so I guess the OS is somehow gone.
Reflash the boot image with stock. I had the same thing happen to me.

Zip treble compatibility error in official TWRP and orangefox encrypts filenames

I am using Oneplus 5T. It has been running stock oxygen 10.0.1.
Recently my phone screen stopped responding. I intended to do clean flash. I have the stock ROM zip file stored in my phone's internal storage.
I am using a mouse attached via OTG to bring my phone back to normal.
After wiping, unfortunately, when I try to flash the zip file I get this Zip treble compatibility error .

I read online and learnt that orangefox recovery fixes this issue. So I flashed this recovery
https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...-5t-orangefox-recovery-project-r10-1.4041781/
After flashing, my filenames come out to be encyrpted.
I reflashed TWRP twrp-3.5.0_9-0-cheeseburger_dumpling.img. I was using this one only all this while since the beginning.
Same treble error.
I removed compatibility zip inside the rom using total commander but unfortunately I am unable to sideload it using adb. The process is stuck at 'starting adb sideload feature'.
Please help.
