LG G3 D855 (rooted, installed twrp recovery, was using Fulmics rom)
While i was normally speaking on phone it suddenly turns off. It wont turn back on, only LG logo shows and after that it just stops (black screen, wont recognize charger). I cannot access to twrp recovery because phone turns of before i could get to the recovery.
I have tried to pull out battery and back in and noting happens all the same. Also i have tried to charge phone after putting battery back in the phone, but it charges for few seconds and again same no red light, black screen and wont turn on.
I have another LG G3 and i have tried another battery but noting it is same. Battery form the phone that dont work, work in another LG G3, so it is not battery problem.
I have tried to connect phone to PC and i can hear sound of plugged device, but on the phone is all black no sign of turning on, so i can not access to my files on phone.

And also tried tutorials like this :
1. Take out the battery
2. WITH THE BATTERY OUT OF THE PHONE AND NOT PLUGGED IN, press and hold the power button for about 15 seconds.
What this does is it drains all the power stored in the phone and takes the power source away so the phone can fully reboot and refresh the power cycle.
3. Replace he battery and plug in the phone.

If you could help me I would appreciate it

Here is the series of events. Upgraded to LG optimus G one week ago and that same day, rooted it and installed Cyanogen 10.1. Week goes by functioning completely normal. Today, the battery was down to 5%. Powered off the phone and hooked it to my PC via micro USB cable. Return an hour later to turn it back on. LQ logo appears for a split second then the screen goes dark though still active because of the backlight. Only response I get is when holding down the power button until the screen goes off. It then powers back up and briefly shows the LG logo and the screen is blank again. No response from any other attempt to boot the phone into recovery mode or normal.
Simultaneous power and volume down does not enter recovery mode, nor does any other combination of keys

Are you holding down the power button while still plugged in? In essentially the exact same scenario you are experiencing, my phone will not turn back on if I have it plugged in.
Unplug it, hold down the button until LG logo appears and release while LG logo still on the screen. That's how I have to do it.

Its not going to charge with the battery that low on the computer. you need to power it off (vol down + power) and plug it into the wall charger. leave it for 30 min. unit should turn on at this point. if not read the repair guide in this thread or jump on the irc and myself or some of the other people can help you.

The USB port I was plugged into was a 3.0 which has extra power sent through it via a bios setting specifically to charge phones. Anyway, I disconnected it and it is now connect to an adaptor from a wall outlet. We'll see what happens in the next 30 min.
ok so earlier today my s3 ran out of battery and shut off. I attempted to charge it, but noticed the red indicator light wasn't on. I tried to turn the device on, but all it did was vibrate and show the battery level logo with the circle in the middle as if its computing the battery level, then shuts back off. most of the time it will just vibrate and loop the samsung logo and then shut off again. sometimes it also shows that my battery is nearly fully charged after i left it on the charger while i was in class, but then shuts off. the farthest it has showed anything on start up was the at&t logo with the white background, then it shuts back off. i've tried to boot the phone connected to the charger and took the battery out, that didn't work. tried to take the battery out and leave it for 10 mins and put it back in, that didn't work. although it would vibrate everytime i put the battery in. i also tried to boot the phone in recovery mode. it would say recovery mode booting in blue letters, then it would go to the samsung and galaxy s3 logos, but then shut off again. also tried the download mode boot up, but i just saw the OS warning screen for a second, then it shut off.. i've ran out of ideas on what to do. hoping anyone could provide anymore advice for me. thanks in advance!
Hello,
I am having an issue with my S 3. It is not booting up as it should. The model is SGH-1747M.
I have tried the following and have had the following results:
1) The phone is non-responsive when attempting to power it on with the power button.
2) If I remove the battery, with the phone not plugged in, and then put the battery back in, the phone begins to power on by itself. It vibrates once and then loads to the Samsung screen and then goes off.
3) If I plug the phone in without the battery, the phone vibrates once and the red charging light comes on but then goes off after a couple seconds.
4) If I plug the phone in without the battery, and then insert the battery as soon as the red light comes on, the charging screen comes on but then the phone goes off after a couple seconds.
5) If I put the battery in with the phone unplugged and hold Volume Down, Power and the Home Button, the phone boots to the screen where you can push up on volume to flash new firmware. If I stay on this screen without pressing anything, the phone turns off after a couple seconds. If I push up on the power button, it goes to the screen with the green android man but then turns off after a couple seconds.
6) If I put the battery in with the phone unplugged and hole Volume Up, Power and Home and then release them on the Samsung screen, blue writing pops up in the top left corner (I couldn’t read quick enough what it says) while still on the Samsung screen and then it loads to a screen saying Samsung Galaxy S III and then the phone turns off.
These problems started when I attempted to connect my phone to my laptop to transfer songs over to it. I connected the phone and the battery was charging, but it wasn’t showing up as connected on my laptop. So, I turned the phone off to restart it but when I went to turn it back on, these issues started.
The phone was rooted and has been for the last 7 months without any changes to the firmware or updates to the firmware in that time period and has not encountered any problems prior. I’m not sure what firmware the phone was on prior to this.
If anyone could offer any assistance with this it would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance.
Hi,
I'm no expert, but it looks like a faulty/stuck power button. It's normal for the phone not to completely boot up when it is powered off and then plugged in to USB. But it is not normal for the phone to reboot itself when in recovery or in Android. That's why I think the power switch might be the cause.
Hi,
Really need some help with my LG G3 phone.
Bit of background
My phone network is O2, my kid was watching a you tube video and all he did was hit skip ad and my phone shut down. My phone at the time of shut had around 95% battery.
The phone does not switch on now, when I insert the charger no lights appear stating it charging nor does the screen come on. The phone has not been rooted or anything like that.
When I remove the battery and put the phone on charge the screen displays an image which states no battery is included but when I insert the battery back in the phone displays just goes dead again and nothing occurs
What I have done
I have bought a new battery and still no joy with that
I have held Volume Button down and Power button and no joy
When no battery is in and the above process is followed the screen flickers after around 13-15 seconds but then still shows that no battery is present
Last night the phone did show a little sign of life. I left it all day by itself and then just switched pressed the power button for 3 seconds or so and the LG boot up screen kicked in but then after 10 seconds it switched off. It has not replicated this again though.
Does anyone have any ideas of what i could try next?
Hi everyone,
I have an issue with my LG G3: the phone won't turn on.
So far I tried the following procedure (but no luck): pull out the battery, press the power button for 30 secs, plug the power cord in (nothing appears on the screen, not even the "no battery" warning)
Is there anything you can suggest?
Many thanks!
PS: this did not work as the phone is not recognized by the PC at all.
weird ttrick
Someone put this on another forum wish I could credit properly. G3 is famous for power button failure. Put battery in then plug in the charger and as soon as you see the empty battery with loading icon unplug the charger. You have to time it correctly. This tricks phone into starting up. Hope this works for you.
