Hi everyone,
I found similar threads here on the forums, but none of them solved my problem!
My Zenfone 2 (Z00A/ZEE551ML) keeps bootlooping into TWRP, the cause of this issue is when i try to flash the SuperSU v2.8 zip!
My TWRP is 3.1.1, when i flash either Lineage 14 or AOSP/XOSP it boots normally into the OS, but the moment when I install SuperSU the bootloop happens (and yes, I've tried to flash it before and after the first boot of the OS, and it didn't work for either one of these methods)! The problem is that I want to use AOSP and I need Root access, and it doesn't come Rooted out of the box, unlike Lineage. Does anyone have any ideas how to solve this?
Thanks in advance!

Apparently.... my phone refuses to install TWRP 3.0.2......
I'm doing all the steps that I'm used to.... Enable Debugging on dev. options.... adb reboot fastboot.... fastboot flash recovery "TWRP 3.0.2" and it's sucessful....
However... when i try to boot into recovery, the phone goes back to fastboot (although, i can boot it to system normally).
I tried flashing 3.1.1 back again and it worked, it went back to 3.1.1 .... so I'm back at square one.

Check the following topic and download VerifiedBootSigner-v8.zip
https://forum.xda-developers.com/an...signing-boot-images-android-verified-t3600606
Flash SuperSU and don't reboot yet.
Flash VerifiedBootSigner-v8.zip and then reboot.
Let me now if it worked. I had the same problem after installing Magisk. Resigning the bootimage fixed the problem for me.

Good morning,
I'm sure it's something I'm missing. I had my tablet unlocked and running fine with TWRP. I went to Omni then to Preview 2. All was well.
Last night I decided to try SuperSU 2.72. I factory reset my Pixel C by installing the latest firmware. I then used fastboot to flash TWRP. It goes into TWRP fine but now it will not boot system any longer. It goes directly into TWRP when I have it boot system. Is this an encryption problem. I've tried both TWRP versions and same behavior.
Any idea what I'm doing wrong?
Thanks!
if you have 3.0.2 i think there was a problem with early build causing this. there was a link posted for the new one that supposedly fixed it. or just use the 3.0.0 build.

It seems some people have problems installing the NYCHitman1 TWRP version.
Most of them complaining because of boot problems.
To fix it:
Pls use xceed TWRP 3.0.0-0 version: http://forum.xda-developers.com/pix...official-twrp-2-8-7-0-pixel-c-dragon-t3288243
Or use my repacked TWRP 3.0.2-0 version : TWRP_dragon_3.0.2.0.img
Pls install TWRP via fastboot and boot directly into TWRP.
Install stock kernel (boot.img) via "fastboot" or use the TWRP flashable version from here: Update.ZIP_Nexus_Ryu_MXC89F-kernel_dragon.zip
Install SuperSU.zip 2.72 directly afterwards in TWRP - no reboot in between.

Good luck !

Thanks guys! I did go back to 3.0.0-0 and it now boots into system. I'll also try your repackaged version of 3.0.2-0. I'm on my work PC but I don't see a link to your version. Is my work PC just hiding it or can I find it somewhere else? Thanks again!

Well in case of "recovery bootloop" start your device in bootloader mode and type "fastboot reboot" in command shell. That works mostly. No need to flash another recovery.

And connect everytime with PC to do a manual reboot via fastboot .. seems a little bit too much for a simple reboot. At least for me
A proper TWRP with proper vboot will boot always correctly, like the one from xceed.
Did you ever had to do a manual reboot on his version ?
Should be fixed at the root cause .. Hope you agree ?
Cheers
I think there´s a little missunderstanding
The fastboot command helps you to get out of "recovery bootloop". After this you can reboot your device how offen you want without issues.
And yes with all existing TWRP versions I had some reboot hickups and have solved it with the fastboot method...

Interesting .. I did not have any reboot issues with xceed TWRP versions .. I had to use the fix fastboot option once, but this is another topic.
But thanks for your information ...

Wrong device thread .. anyway just restore "stock" ROM/recovery to make it working again.
Good luck !
I just got my 5t a couple of days back. Unlocked the bootloader and used Blu spark twrp and magisk beta for root.
On restart phone would boot up to one plus logo, and then just go black. The notification light goes on. But nothing else.
Help please?
Edit FIXED(No data loss)
1. Boot into TWRP, clear cache. Hard reset(Volume up + Power from a switched off state).
2. Boot back into twrp.
3. Adb push full zip(Found here - Signed Flashable Zip)(Adb push follows this syntax - adb push /(filename).zip /storage/
4. On twrp goto the install menu, navigate to storage and install the file.
5. Optionally you may clear the cache and then install magisk. I couldn't get it to work without magisk but YMMW
Do a hard reset if you still can...

Already did that, multiple times. No success.
Same happened to me. It eventually forced into a fastboot bootloop. I had to flash and boot twrp from fastboot again, and then flash the full ota zip and essentially start over.
Decided to skip the root though, until there is a solid ROM release or a stable magisk.

I tried a similar approach. Cleared dalvik, hard reset then booted into Blu twrp. Flashed Full zip and then magisk again. Booted right up.

Yes that was one of my many troubleshooting steps as well, didn't work for me.
Can you help me with this, having a similar issue when I tried to unroot and screwed everything up.
Can anyone help me with this? I'm trying to push via adb the stock os and it looks successful but I don't see it in TWRP.
It's not a big issue, you just flashed the wrong magisk, just boot into recovery and re flash the stock OS
With this type of brick, if u r able to access recovery just go amd reflash, this is not a major brick
my flashing history:
i was on audax (oos based nougat rom) with blu spark kernel before, then went to official ob1, then back to audax, then back to stock oos nougat and now i flashed audax and after clean flashing it, it just wont boot up.
when i try to boot up i see the 1+ logo but then it reboots to recovery. i also tried flashing stock nougat again and also flashed stock kernel manually but it also doesnt work.
i always do:
1. wipe system/dalvic/cache/data
2. install ROM
3. wipe dalvik/cache
4. flash magisk (also tried without flashing magisk)
5. reboot
i've been looking on the interwebs all day but nothing worked.. help pls :/
EDIT: problem was blu spark twrp. Maybe installing Oreo ****ed it up. I flashed codeworkx newest twrp universal build and now Im able to boot again!! Btw: I also found that magisk 15.0 prohibits a proper boot up and results in a boot loop. version 15.2, however, does the trick!
when it auto reboot to recovery, formate data
When s**t happens, it is wise to start everything from scratch:
-boot in fastboot mode and flash stock recovery with "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img" (rename recovery.img with your recovery filename), then reboot recovery and select english, advanced, adb sideload;
-flash stock OS with "adb sideload rom.zip" (rename rom.zip with your Oxygen OS filename).
Procedure will require some minute because of the large file size. Remember to save all your data on internal storage first!
I advice you to flash original recovery because often sideloading in TWRP leads to some error.
Your phone will boot again... after that you may reflash TWRP, Magisk etc
I had the same issue. Bootloop and jumb into recovery by itself. You have to flash magisk 15.2 via recovery and will be boot.

He says that it occurs even without Magisk... I had a similar trouble once, and the only way to solve it was the procedure I wrote above...

Of course. Use the update instructions in FunkWizard's Thread. I would try the dirty flash guide first.
Typically I don't have to uninstall Magisk, but I don't use a bunch of modules or anything weird like that. So I just flash OOS, reflash magisk. (Only wiping cache, NO Dalvik/ART). However, that's not exactly what the instructions say.....
Hi! I have a moto z2 play with the Pie stock rom flashed. Bootloader is unlocked but when I try to flash TWRP (used twrp_albus_treble_3.2.2_r23_64) via fastboot after the first system reboot it is always overwritten by default recovery. I tried to boot first to bootloader and than to TWRP, also tried booting the TWRP image and installing TWRP from phone storage, nothing works after system reboot it is always replaced by stock recovery. What am I doing wrong?
I also tried to install Magisk but it wont install, tried flashing through TWRP and also by patching the boot.img than flashing that.
Could use your input!
Thanks!
