Which security update is the latest 7.2.0 build based on? and which vendor image should i use for the Nexus 5X? Thanks.
I would probably go for the latest vendor (should be N2G47Z?) and same for bootloader/radio.

I'm looking to build android oreo from source, but this page: https://developers.google.com/android/drivers only has the drivers up to Nougat 7.1.2 for the 5X and other devices. Does anybody know when these binaries will be released?
Thanks
Never mind, they were just added.
Hello,
I wanted to ask can i use franco kernel with official lineage os build 14.1.
I use a Nexus 7 (2013) with lineage os 14.1, and wanted to try out franco kernel,
What i'm asking is - is it safe to install franco kernel with lineage os, and if its safe ; would it interfere with lineage os system updates (causing bootloop & all when updating the rom), and does it causes any issues (like battery, heating, less performance)???
Please, anyone reply.
I would be glad to see a detailed answer

Hi everyone,
I'm currently working on building Lineage OS 13, which is unsupported on the Nexus 7 2013. My device has WiFi issues with 14.1 and none of the Marshmallow ROMs incorporate a fix for the Krack vulnerability. Since this fix is already part of the cm-13.0 branch, I've been trying to build it but running into the following error when I run "breakfast flo".
Code:
build/core/product_config.mk:257: *** No matches for product "lineage_flo". Stop.
Device flo not found. Attempting to retrieve device repository from LineageOS Github (http://github.com/LineageOS).
I have already incorporated the Muppet's proprietary blobs for Flo but don't know how to deal with this error. I have experience with the Linux command line and programming using Java but am new to ROM-building.

You will need to apply device tree rebrand like it's done in 14.1: https://github.com/LineageOS/android_device_asus_flo/commit/e596a332b44ea40769fc516c451728b1cd58eb2b

Thanks for the help! I was able to get it to work by running 'lunch cm_flo-userdebug' and then mka.
Are you sure the Krack fix isn't already in 14.1:
https://www.lineageos.org/Changelog-15/
KRACK Wi-Fi vulnerability has been fixed in both LineageOS 14.1 and 13.0

Hi,
I have a Nexus 5 running on the latest stock Marshmallow build, but rooted with Chainfire SuperSu.
I'd like to flash Lineage OS on it, but I understand that the latest Lineage OS doesn't support the Nexus 5.
What are the newest versions that do? I'd like to have it on Nougat or Oreo.
Thanks!

Custom rom is device dependent like that: https://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5/orig-development/rom-lineageos-16-0-nexus-5-t3921162
That's an unofficial build. Are there official builds? Didn't Lineage OS use to support the Nexus 5?

Hello,
So I'm about to try my luck with a GSI 11 image, however, the tutorial on phhusson's experimentation repo is a bit outdated (Android 9).
I'm coming from a custom Android-10-based ROM.
So I'm wondering two things:
1. Do I need to flash vendor or firmware right before flashing the new GSI-11 image? (Yes, before this step I would have wiped everything etc.)? And if yes, which one, will vendor suffice, or do I need firmware?
2. Does the firmware/vendor IMD needs to be for Android-11? Because I see Xiaomi doesn't have an official one for 11, yet there are already custom ROMs for 11, so I assume flashing an Android-10 vendor/firmware is ok?
Thanks for your time
Hello,
If you want to try Android 11 then you can use the tutorial on phh github, and vendor can be any version (9, 10, 11), even basic from MIUI. Just not all of them are built for Android 11, which means that there will be some bugs (overlays, for example the camera may not work or rounded corners will not etc ...) When I installed Android 11, I found a well patched vendor here:
Android 11 Beta 3 Redmi Note 7 PIXEL2XL_BETA_3_PORT_LAVENDER_JS by JSPiRiT1337
Android 11 Redmi Note 7 PIXEL2XL_BETA_3_PORT_LAVENDER_JS by JSPiRiT1337 Status: Unofficial Based on: Pixel 2 XL Android version: 11 R Build Author: JSPiRiT1337 Bug: The access point does not work TWRP installation:eek:rangeFox/Skyhawk -wipes...

It's an Android 11 port but the vendor is android 10 so if you're not happy you can put Android 10 instead of Android 11
(If you try install magisk you must use phh version instead normal version, link: https://mega.nz/file/ViwRjKhK#9RIkCzPyRy_mOhHAnT_W9fuB1nv2iuxUwNqgZmANAm4) is Canary Debug version and you can easy update form Magisk XDA forum (just write in to google " Magisk Canary Debug apk")
Good luck in the installation
EDIT: you can use any version of miui firmware but after installing Android, dont update firmware because you didnt boot. (you can install newer firmware but after that you must wipe data and reflash boot/kernel and magisk.)

Thank you.
Did you only use the vendor from that particular ROM, or did you install that ROM itself. Currently debating if I wanna install GSI or a "proper" ROM. In any case I'm trying to de-google this phone (softly not hardcore), so GSI is interesting since I can install a de-googled version and then MicroG on top of it.
