Need help about 6.0.1 update. - ZenFone 2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Well I bought my zenfone 2 it's been 1 year ago, and on the end of 2016 I rooted it because I don't had hope on 6.0.1 update anymore since it was full of bugs. I still on 5.0 and now I want to update to 6.0.1 but I don't know how. My bootloader is unlocked and I have TWRP I was planning on flash the stock recovery and then push the update but there is the problem. Can I update with unlocked bootloader? Or I'll need to lock it again then update? I really can't bare with the 5.0 firmware anymore and I need to update. But since I don't have a constant access to a computer I don't want to brick my phone.
Yes, I tried search for tutorials online but all I get is how to unlock bootloader on zenfone 2 on the 6.0 firmware and how to root it..but I don't get none answer to my question so I hope someone here can help me.

Rooting the H815: Should I unlock the bootloader or not?

I have received my new LG G4 H815 (EU) phone today and I definitely want to root the phone. Now I'm asking myself whether I should unlock the bootloader or not.
As far as I understand, there are two completely different options for getting root access to the device:
1. Register on LG site, officially unlock bootloader, install TWRP image via fastboot, install root via TWRP
2. Walk through the instructions in this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/orig-development/root-tmo-vzw-intl-variants-soon-root-lg-t3164765
According to the thread you should disable OTA upgrades after rooting it and there is always the possibility that LG patches this rooting method with future Android Upgrades. However, I do want to upgrade the Android system image from time to time (LG will probably provide an upgrade to Android 6.0 sooner or later). Will upgrading the Android system (without loosing root) be less problematic when I unlock the bootloader now? As far as I understand it so far, you can easily root it again after an upgrade if you have unlocked the bootloader. Is that correct? Can I still use OTA upgrades when the bootloader is unlocked and TWRP is installed? I don't mind running fastboot to reinstall TWRP after an upgrade but I don't really like to manually download each Android upgrade from shady mirror sites instead of using the official LG OTA updater.
I do know that unlocking the bootloader will void the warranty and that some Apps may refuse to work no an unlocked device. I'm ok with that and I want to have the phone permanently rooted and install updates (without loosing root) with as little trouble as possible.
Since unlocking the bootloader will wipe everything, I want to do it either now (before setting up the phone) or never. So what would you recommend?

Question about the bootloader, LGUP, LG Bridge and OTAs

Hello there!
I have a locked H815 and I've had many issues with it, especially when I upgraded to 6.0 and V20D. I've got it back from repairs and it's been downgraded to Android 5.1.
I saw that it's ok to use LGUP and flash 5.1 and 6.0 firmwares and that doesn't require an unlocked bootloader nor root.
Now, I want to ask if I unlock my bootloader, will I still be able to receive OTA updates? Or updates through LG Bridge?
Also, if I install a custom ROM right now, will I be able to successfully flash the stock firmwares and have the phone as it was just with an unlocked bootloader?
Thanks!

ASUS Zenfone 2 ZE551ML Z00AD Bricked (Please Help!!!)

Hello, as the title says, I have accidentally bricked my ASUS Zenfone 2.
The device does NOT have the bootloader unlocked, it is NOT rooted and it does NOT have any custom recovery installed on it.
I have installed the latest firmware from ASUS 2 days ago (Marshmallow update), and today I have tried to unlock the bootloader in order to install CM13 on it, I have tried doing that using the official unlocking tool on the ASUS website, but it didn't work on the 6.0.1 version of the firmware.
After that, I downloaded the official firmware in order to downgrade the phone from 6.0.1 to 5.0.0, so I could unlock the bootloader, now it is stuck in the fastboot screen, and it cannot boot properly.
I am a begginer in Android flashing and what not so I really don't know how to unbrick it, any help would be appreciated as I need the phone back working urgently. Thank you! Waiting for replies.

rooted and bootloader unlocked Phone update to pie

Hi,
I have question so my phone has an unlocked bootloader and is rooted, recently I got the notification for the pie update to Android 9. My question now can I still update without problems or should I unroot and lock my bootloader again?
Do not ever relock your bootloader. Unless you were planning on selling it.
So the update will be no problem? But won't it be noticed in the update process and cause problems?

The bootloader being unlocked had nothing to do with updating. But root might , I'm not sure I don't take OTA updates. Magisk Is a systemless root so it may work fine , I haven't ever tried.
The unlocked bootloader is fine. Worst case scenario you lose your root and have to reroot your phone, which is easy to do. I upgraded from 8 to 9 without issue with an unlocked bootloader, all I had to do was reroot the phone

Bootloader Unlocked L29 C636 owners please help

Question for those of you on L29 model w/ C636 region.
I purchased a bootloader unlocked EVR-L29 from a forum member here but don't want to bother him with more questions.
QUESTIONS:
-I am on version 9.0.0.7 I have tried manually updating within the phone itself but it says I am on latest version.
I downloaded latest HiSuite program on laptop and connected the phone to it using usb debug in dev mode. Still says on latest version. I have attempted to go into erecovery & force searching for an update. Which sorta worked but it just downloads the current version I am already on.
So I am guessing I am having these issues because it is bootloader unlocked?
I am guessing you bootloader unlocked guys have an alternate method of forcing an update?
If there is an alternate method I can use I am guessing it is best to incrementally update instead of pushing the latest build?
-Once fully updated to the latest build will the old root method still work on EMUI 9.1? Where we flash a recovery ramdisk as shown HERE?
If the answer is yes do you all flash a stock recovery ramdisk for L29 or a patched recovery ramdisk? What is the difference?
I unlocked the bootloader on my L29 and was on 9.0.0.208 and couldn't get the 9.1.0.300 OTA update until I used e-recovery to download and install 9.0.0.207. Once I did that the phone immediately received the 9.1.0.300 OTA update and then patch #1. I haven't rooted yet so I don't know if root survives the update. It might because the update didn't wipe anything.

Yup erecovery just keeps downloading and installing 9.0.0.207 and when the phone reboots I get no OTA. Odd. I'll try putting the sim card in to see if that helps since I'm using wifi
