I'm using only lineageOS.
Is there a benefit When I use a newer firmware?
And if, what is the benefit and where to find the eur.-Version?

The H815 is the Euro version. Versions of the G4 sold in many other markets have different model numbers.
Most of the H815s I know were sold carrier-unlocked and were often bought at stores without being attached to specific carriers or plans.

I was checking on internet that my phone is unlocked or not but it is in my mind that it is an international version and also global update for it is also available so can we use it in any of the countries which are meant for international version without any problem
No, just use dumped TWRP ( find them in G3 Android Development )
Is this a question or a statement? What are you looking for?

Put another carrier's sim in it and see if it asks for a code; if so, you'll need to unlock it. You can buy your code for @ $3.99 (US) on ebay.
I used different carriers on it and they worked perfectly ....
I found out there're 3 different models here.
North America model
Europe / Asia model
China model
Since we are close to China, I think I'm getting a China model. What's bugging me is I don't know if custom ROMs posted in OP3 Android Development sections will compatible with China model. I came from a device which have 14 different models with single-dual sim & regional mixed it's all so confusing that I ended up flashing incompatible ROMs several times. Can anyone help me confirm that please?
Just got my Chinese model today. Unlocked bootloader, flashed OnePlus3Oxygen_16_OTA_011_all_1607052050_0e5983ace5314161 and rooted. Everything seems to work fine.
It came with Hydrogen OS (and full of Chinese crapware)

Could you flash a North American model baseband to test if the China model and US model are essentially the same? Both of the two are named A3000 after all.

Except in this case the EM version is the only one aside Italian TIM version which can currently be unlocked.
You don't have to take our word for it, check supported devices and see for yourself.

EM version is not international, it's European market version. It's available only for European markets so it's understood that it can be unlocked, each and every LG model in Europe were able to unlock up from G4
International are those versions which are selling outside of USA and European markets, namely for Africa+ AME, CIS, SEA, Latin AM
the Latin g5 840 doesn't even have the same 820 chip it's the 652 I guess jcadduono was wrong to when he made the International version twrp for 850 I included a pic so we can start working together on root also nimax rom we worked hard and had to drop the international version because ceaser or I had the International version we went to 20m 2 updates
Hello,
I wonder what the difference between Retail, Retus or Reteu etc Fastboot firmwares is.
I'm from Europe myself, but I think I flashed us firmware since it was the most recent one the time I updated, where is the difference?
It's the same system and has same languages as far as I know.
Also what exactly is Retail then? Is it kind of a general version? Can I also use that?
Most likely radio frequencies as some countries use different frequencies for 3g/4g
Also maybe things like call recording as in some countries its legal and others it isn't
But who knows unless you break it down and compare

Again unless you do a firmware breakdown and analysise the difference I can only guess its a generic firmware that has all radio frequencies
Thank you!
Hi, it is possible and safe to change the firmware of LG g8s g810ea to g810eaw? I thought about flashing new firmware with LG up.

I know nothing about the G8s, never owned one, but generally speaking, pretty sure changing the firmware is much the same as the G8. There are some no no's, like if you have dual sim to single sim, or vice versa, but you don't say anything about the firmware you're referring to... it might help to know why you want to change, iow, what are you trying to accomplish?
But more than likely, it shouldn't be a problem. I'd suggest first to ask on the tele group for the v50 / G8 devices, they are more international experience there and will be more certain. Cheers
Thank you for a quick answer. My LG G8s is a g810ea version. I won’t to flash g810eaw firmware because the are fresher builds. Newest build for eaw is 30c from 7/2022, when ea 30a is from 12/2021. Also LG Germany declared Android 12 update. Morover I couldn’t find setting for VoWifi and Volte. All firmwares are meant for LG G8s, which is available in 3 versions g810ea, g810eaw and g810ra.

From what I can see on the firmware pages, should be okay. Always keep in mind that ea individual rom has certain bands enabled, so be sure the bands it has will meet your needs.
Also, vowifi and volte are dependent on your carrier, not just the phone. The G8s is capable of both, but if your carrier doesn't allow them then there's no way to make the work. And, some carriers (like US at&t), only allow it to work on their phones - or at least that was the case at one time.
It's always best to flash an 'open' version Rom, if there's one available with the bands you need, and your carrier allows a phone on their network that isn't running their specific rom (usually an mvno type carrier is best).
cheers
