[PLAY STORE UPDATABLE] Camera & Gallery from Moto For CM12.x

Hey Guys,
There's an updated version of the app, with the exposition regulation on the focus 'thing'.
Guys, i need you to test a thing. See if the apps will update from play store. Because i found here a flashable zip that promised cam and gallery updating from store. So i used the zip and incremented my zip. Thx to @prashant13b for the amazing work. (Buy him a beer, plz...)
Don't mind my post, just download and flash the zip. JUST DO IT! (Shia, you are a genius)

No you will have to reflash it every time you update the ROM ...

The gallery app doesnt flash. Only the camera flashes. Im on Moto G GPE 5.1. Please help. Desperately want the Gallery app..

Well i did get it to work. Ran out of system memory, which was not allowing the app to get copied in the /system folder. Deleted a few system app(google books,movies amd music) and it flashed like a charm.

No, you have to use stock Motorola ROM to have Slow motion recording available. This feature is probably buried somewhere at Motorola's framework. I also wanted slow motion recording, and found out that it doesn't work with any custom ROM, and that it doesn't work with stock GPE ROMs either. So again - only stock Motorola ROMs.

This is a flashable zip.. That means you've to flash it in recovery

I know this is a flashable zip.
The flash option on the camera is not working as in the flash does not come on whether it is on auto flash or not.

Does it work on CM12.1?

@Rossyyy it works but partially.
When I change the mode to anything like video, slowmo or timelapse, it crashes.
Have to open it again to use that mode. Even changing the camera from rear to front crashes the app.
And swiping left to see the clicked images doesn't work because they are grayed out. Attached screenshot
Would really appreciate if you look into this, I think it's probably because of some missing oneplus apk or lib.

[MOD][CAMERA] No more forced max screen brightness OREO

This will prevent people from going blind early. Now there's no forced max screen brightness.
Oreo version based on 9.30.1017320, Variant: 870031230
Nougat version based on 9.20.974075
Prerequisites:
- HTC U11
Two versions below, one for magisk if you use it and the other just the regular one (not confirmed working).
If you wanna do it manually just push Camera2.apk in the zip to /system/priv-app/Camera2/

Um.....I haven't flashed it yet, but I think it will simply prevent your current brightness settings from being overridden when the camera launches.

If you are using LeeDroid R68/69, it should come with this apk, you don't need to put it in /system by yourself.

Try validus ROM and use the camera apk shared in thread with the settings provided.
Portrait mode and hdr+ works for front cam also in that ROM.

yes, it does work. and works brilliantly. Validus is the only Rom that has front cam portrait and camera performance is a beast in this ROM. Portrait works from 9th jan 2018 build onwards. please do not say anything without trying. Thanks!

after changing the setting you need to force close the app, assuming you already did that. I do not know what might be wrong. mine. the same app works fine in both of my device along with others on the validus thread. maybe they could help you out

doesn't work with aex5.1

Question I can't take photo when the phone is shaking.

For example in the car,the picture will not be taken until I hold my phone very stable,using custom ROM's camera app.What can I do to make the camera save the photo regardless of current moving state of the phone.
To simulate this ,just move your phone fast with your hand while taking photos.

What about Gcam? Also which Custom ROM are you using?

That might be the problem yes. I am currently on VoidUI and all works great
