I am running lineage OS on my KFHD 8.9. I purchased a micro HDMI to standard HDMI cable so I could connect my KFHD 8.9 to my TV to watch shows on Kodi.
When I attach the cable to my TV and my Kindle Fire I don't see anything on my screen. I tried it on both of my TV's. The TV does recognize that a component is hooked up. It just doesn't show anything on the screen.
Has anybody experienced these problems? Any ideas on how to fix it?

How can I transfer both types of data from Kodi to an external USB on my Amazon Fire TV. I notice some is stored on my USB and the rest is kept on the Amazon Fire TV by the looks of it? The app itself is on USB but all Application Data stays on the Fire TV which is annoying...
Thanks

I have the regular Fire (newer 2015 version). My android (S6) can't find the device. My android is connected via wireless to the same router as the Fire as a wired connection. If I reboot Fire TV it usually will work but then next time I try to connect it will fail.
Have a sloane Fire TV 2 box that i factory reset with TV remote VIA hdmi..
So its at the setup page and the Fire TV remote i have doesnt pair with it, i think its for a fire STICK idk or its broken, not sure.
What are my options to set this fire tv 2 up without the remote?
I seen various reports, some on Reddit about being able to run the latest version of VuDu for Android TV (6.1.1129) on an Amazon Fire TV Stick.
On my Gen Stick, it shows a splash screen then immediately stops. Sometimes it shows the splash screen again withoutpressing anything.
I've mainly seen people mention that they use it on their Fire Stick 4K.
Other than newer OS, is there something stopping it from running ona Stick Gen 2? It says arm-7a and Android 5.0+ which should be no problem then.
I can start the tablet version of VuDu it will just require a mouse to be used.
Update:
I have a fire stick 4k running newest UI, when I plug in my thumb drive (works fine on my fire cube) but the fire stick shows that I plugged it in but doesn't show anything under settings.
ADB on or off doesn't matter and I have tried the troy point method with no difference.
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
