Which Kernel supports QC 3.0, without root/with root?
don't think it can be unlock using custom kernel , is hard coded into chipset.

Hi! I am an Xperia Arc S user that have the same SoC than the DHD. We only have an 2.6 kernel because we have the famous msm7X30 chipset. We're about a year and a half waiting. So, I'd like to ask about that.
1- If HTC did'nt release anything, would you have a 3.0 kernel?
2- How long do you have a 3.0 kernel?
3- Are the 3.0 kernel stable for daily use?

This area of xda has a lot of devs both Rom and kernel savvy. They took the 3.0 kernel and recompiled it to work with ace devices both for aosp and sense. However, since it doesn't come from an HTC source there are issues that may never be ironed out. In my opinion it depends on what you use your phone for to determine if it is a daily driver for you. For me I don't have issues as headset buttons not working is not an issue for me. There are other bugs too, but for me it's usable as a daily driver. I don't know how long we have had the 3.0 kernel but it has been a while.

Acualy, developers don't wait others, they r working hard on porting. I was switching between all ICS & JB ROM with their kernel, I found the most stable with vitreous kernel & almost have not problem on daily use.

I'm currently running stock ROM 4.1.2 on my converted F180K. I've noticed that the Max value I put into CPU Master doesn't stick, any answer as to why? I've thought this might be a kernel problem so I'm looking for OG Kernels that will work with my F180K (though it's converted already). I've found a kernel I like (it has USB-OTG support!) but it doesn't work on stock ROM.
So I'm posting here to ask anyone if there's a kernel that I can flash (F180K converted to E975) or even a way to allow the Max value in CPU Master to stick. Also, does stock kernel/ROM support USB-OTG (with the OTG-Y)?
Chk wit solid kernel... As fas as i knw ther s no custom stock kernel with otg...

Doesn't have to be stock kernel. As long as everything works and Min/Max values I set in CPU Master stick, I'm good with that. USB OTG is just a plus, not a "need" but a "want" rather, so if it supports or doesn't support, I'm fine with it both ways (having OTG would be neat though).
help! can anybody tell me where i can find a kernel to support the otg usb charge?

im using xKat 5.0 with xluco v3 kernel. OTG cable works, but i think for charging it might be a pin issue withing the OTG cable itself. some OTG cables dont carry a two way charge pin, so they can power a usb drive but not be charged through it.

I would like to have a try. Another question , can the original Samsung Rom 4.4.2 be installed into the xluco V3 Kernel?
Or should I maybe install vkat ROM before installing the Kernel ?

You can flash the xluco kernel to the stock rom, the aroma installer for xkat will give you an option to install the xluco kernel.
I really like the boost hans gave to his rom, its based on stock and debloated to an extent.

Could you please take a pic of your otg cable when it's charged

Hi guys... I've been using the LGOG E975 for years now , currently I'm running ARTMOD V7 rom on it using the stock kernel.. The only thing that it lacks is lack if storage..
I'll be very grateful if someone could point out the kernels that'll support USB OTG ( of course with the USB Y OTG ) On ARTMOD V7 .. I've used the AK xGenesis gee , and was able to mount external storage using Stick mount.. But it had a lotta bugs like screen brightness was too high even on 0 , glitches etc etc or maybe it justdidn't support the artmod v7..
So i just want you too point out all the kernels that support otg hack on this rom.. Or if there's an alternative then let me know it..
Thanks

I don`t know how you booted with that kernel installed on a stock rom.
Even so and regarding your question , I think there`s a version of jollaman kernel tha has that(one of is first releases i believe).
Just search for it or ask him.
10x man..
Can you plzz explain all the type of kernels and roms.. I am a lil confused.. What type of kernels can i use on the stock kitkat..There are mostly these types of roms and their supported kernels..
1. Stock
2. Gee
3. MIUI
4. CM
5. AOSP
What are these..plzz explain and add anyone that i might have missed
And one more question .. I've read a post of Nexus 4 otg hack by ziddey.. There is a flashable zip for the hack that i remember flashing a long time ago.. But the phone didn't boot after it.. Isn't There a way to just flash an OTG hack zip on the stock kitkat or maybe a way to compile one with the hack..

Solid kernel may work. I have installed it and it worked very well. But I don't know that OTA working because I didn't tried.
Is fast charging depends on kernel?
I was using Jaguar kernel was getting 1540mA
Now using a stock kernel getting only 870mA, is there any way to get fast charging like Jaguar kernel on stock kernel?
I read by editing thermal-engine.conf file we can boost charging speed (like 1540mA).
Is it possible?
Yes u can... But the phone will heat more as the amount voltage passing through it more... Stock kernel lack some features .. Just flash a custom kernel like jaguar or heliox over the rom and use a fast charger... Enjoy fast charging
