I know, I know, there are a million of these threads, however none seem to answer a question I have. Unless I skipped that one thread that does answer my question.
I'm sure my LG is way past the point of being repaired and so I want to wipe my data off my phone before selling it for parts. The phone is not rooted, is running 5.0.1., and does not boot into download mode (either crashes or loops me into a bootloop/green screen). How could I wipe all my data from the current state my phone is in?
Things I have tried as solutions:
-Flash with the LGFlashtool V.1.8.1.1023 from another thread [Failed/ does not complete past 0%]
-Install root [Phone crashed before successfully installing, when I was able to boot into download mode]
>I have tried using Kingroot, which did not work.
Phone state:
-Bootloop [LG bootscreen or Green/Black "Error" page]
>Sometimes will not even boot at all
-Can be detected by my pc but I am unable to transfer files
-Running Lollipop 5.0.1. and the model is d852 with Rogers
Any kind guidance is appreciated!

[Q] LG E980 bricked during interr. OTA on rooted stock phone. AT&T want to go stock
Hello All!
Call me completely retarded if it's warranted, i'm usually better with these things. here is the current situation:
(1) LG E-980 Optimus G Pro - Stock AT&T ROM. Never an OTA updade, purchased 01/2014 in MD, USA.
TWRP v2.6.3.0 installed. Rooted. SuperSU and busybox, current. TWRP "restore" does not restore from the full backup i had performed. Stuck in a boootloop between "LG Logo, and then quickly in the top right corner "Secure Boot Error Cause: Device UnLock, So Boot Success!!!" and then it's off to TWRP in recovery. Any advice there would be foremost appreciated, as that'd allow me to properly restore to pre-brick state, and install CWM, if it's more reliable, etc.
I can get into Download mode, and have followed THIS post
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2302660
but I had problems getting my laptop to assign the cell a "COM Port"
and besides Download Mode, there's ADB Sideload in TWRP thats usable, no? should I use this and how is this possible?
I've a few backups, TWRP and CWG, and also a stock .tot and .dll from the above mentioned thread. Does anybody know how to get past the "secure Boot Error" bootloop and get ANY ROM installed? ANY help would be much appreciated!
I've been at it at least ten hours, and realized I probably should have asked here fist banging my head against the wall, this is a wonderful phone, and i'd hate to see it dead, i mean it's literally ALL there still. TWRP recovery has a file manager.
On my desktop (and on the device) the TWRP back-up files are there, just shy of four GB, and i've also grabbed the stock .tot file, and i would LOVE someone to give me a hand straightening this particular mess out, and i'll offer another a quid pro quo in a field i'm vastly more well-versed in.
Thank you for reading the FNG's post. Greetings!
Ryan
you got in download mode by pressing volume keys and pluging in usb?
coz it dosent work for me
Background Information:
I bought the LG G3 last on an AT&T Next 12 plan last July. I've unlocked the bootloader (via Bump), installed a custom recovery (TWRP), and flashed a custom ROM (CM12).
What I want to do:
Now that the OnePlus 2 is coming out, I am looking to upgrade. I can trade in the LG G3 and get a discounted rate on it, but in order to do that I would need to completely restore my LG G3 to the stock conditions that I received it in.
What I have already done:
I have already restored a backup from the original LG ROM and completely wiped the phone. I am now looking to remove the custom recovery (TWRP).
The Problem:
All of the online guides that I have looked at required me to put my phone into download mode. However, when I try to follow the steps to go into download mode, my phone won't do it. It simply starts up normally displaying LG splash screen and then after around 5 seconds just displays the current battery charge of the phone.
Is there something that I'm doing wrong or just completely missing? Has anyone else had this problem and found a solution? Are there any other ways to restore the stock LG recovery?
(Basically I'm trying to hid the fact that the phone was ever unlocked/rooted from AT&T)
Thank you and I appreciate any help that I can get,
That Android Guy
Your not doing it correctly
Look at some youtube guides on how to do it and then after youve kicked it into download mode follow this guide
http://forum.xda-developers.com/att-lg-g3/general/guide-att-lg-g3-to-stock-t2819541
And then after that OTA your phone to Lollipop and it should be all good

Ok, so I have looked up some youtube videos and followed them exactly as shown, to no avail. I have seen in a couple of the videos comments, however, that sometimes when being plugged into a USB 3.0 port, it doesn't work, therefore requiring a USB 2.0 port. The problem is is that my laptop, the HP Omen 15 only has USB 3.0 ports. So I am stuck on what to try now...
Droid:
LG
G3
D850
Stock MM (up until the botched root)
Issues:
No Boot
No Recovery
No Download
However when I attempt to put in recovery mode, the LED on the phone flashes blue and orangeish-red (I don't know, maybe I'm color blind), and the device manager pops up with a driver called QHSUSB_BULK that is corrupted. I believe the cause of this was the attempted root with KingRoot (success), then AutoRecMM (apparent failure) for the D850. Not quite sure what happened, but when the reboot happened I tried to put it into recovery, and no dice, just experienced the lights and the corrupted driver installation. I've been looking for days and haven't found anything because all fixes required Fast Boot, Recovery, Download, or open access from the phone for ADB. I know the large majority of the users on XDA are far more knowledgeable than I am about fixing "bricked" phones, so please if any one can help I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks fellas.
Follow this guide.

Edit: this issue is solved, I took it to a repair shop and had them deal with it.
I don't know what they did.
hello i think i bricked my LG G4 H811 20i, and im asking for advice on what to do
im going to break this down into a few parts
1) the device and its setup
2) what caused the inital problem, and what changed
3) what i did, after.
4) its current state
5) my questions
part 1: the device and its setup
the device is a tmobile LG G4 H811 with the 20i bootloader
i know im on 20i because as soon as i got the phone (or return to stock) i turned off the cell data and wifi. (plus lg up reports my device as a h81120i)
my bootloader is unlocked.
i was running official resurection remix with the super su binary replaced with magisk and llama sweet kernel
part 2: what i belive caused the inital problem and what changed
yesterday i decided to try the CTT mod
after installing (i already had a previous backup on hand) it went through the initialing apps and got stuck on starting android
i booted back into recovery and cleared dalvik and cache and rebooted, it initialized the apps but hung at starting android.
part 3: what i did, after.
so i resorted to a backup i had previously made, which completed initial boot initialized the apps and got stuck at the starting android again. the backup had the same rom as i was running, just older data.
so i pull the battery, booted into recovery and did a clean flash of the rom, i formatted system, data, cache, dalvik/art before flashing. i keep the rom on my phone for those just in case times.
it did the same again.
so now i tried to restore with a kdz using LG up
it stopped at 9% with error 0x2000 invalid command response
i did not try lg flash tool
i also tried restoring the 20i complete zip from autoprime in here http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-g4/development/stock-h811-20i-images-kdz-flashable-t3308227
after i install it and tap reboot twrp tells me no os installed, i ignored it, because fastboot is still working, and it booted fine.
next i flashed resurrection remix using normal methods and left it on all night, in the morning it was still starting android, a good 7 hours later.
part 4: its current state
its back on stock, however im going to leave the device off until i get this figured out.
if i try and flash resurection remix or a backup it hangs after initalizing apps.
i can still boot into recovery, fastboot, and download modes, just fine.
but i cant flash the kdz using LG up.
part 5: my questions
im wondering a few things.
a) if a tot restore would help me, however i cant find a h811 20i tot.
b) what does it lgup's error 0x2000 invalid command response mean.
c) is there anything else i can do to fix my phone.
if you need any further info from me please let me know and i will post it ASAP
Edit: this issue is solved, I took it to a repair shop and had them deal with it.
Ok, so I know this for the G4, but as there is really no forum for this phone, I wondered if anyone was interested in helping with some issues here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/general/general/lgvs425pp-optimus-zone-3-stock-t3515462
Here are the details:
Phone LG K4 121 running 5.1.1 lollipop
Issues: When I flash with LGUP, it shows that it's flashing but after it's done, the data is still there and boot is the same. To root I have to flash a different boot. But I can't flash it.
ADB isn't working
Computer doesn't detect phone properly(and it's not PC's fault)
Network provided time went wacky after one of the attempted flashes
After factory reset, I can go straight into phone without signing into google account
Before all of this I had tried nuking laf partition to access fastboot, but I can still get into download mode so it mustn't have worked. And I have flashed it successfully many times before.
Edit: fixed
