someone please make miui 9 for moto g5...xiaomi many dehices have same chipset phones and i think i would not be too hard to port..also,today every custom rom on moto g5 is almost same,so mihi would be something diffenrent.i think so,so,please make

Miui 8 is marshmallow - the sources are available but seeing as this device comes with stock nougat & has no marshmallow sources I don't see the point
Miui 9 is nougat but seeing as we are now on oreo I doubt anyone will bother & seeing as they haven't released the source code I doubt you will see it on this device unless someone can adapt it from another device but from my point of view it's not worth it as it's already outdated

yes,miui 9 source code is not available but cant we port from same specs device like redmi 3s/prime?it already have both nougat and miui 9...and,also,i think,that instead porting tons of almost same oreo roms would be nice if you port one miui 9..because miui is something different

There is a rom for Moto G5 plus you can search in xda and you will be able to get . But there is no Miui rom for Moto G5s plus Sanders.

It is not same as redmi 3s prime but it is same as MI A1 as per hardware comparison.
Only difference is camera, screen size front flash as per my finding.

Will the device get android p? Official or unofficial anything will help

I'm pretty sure that there will be lots of android P custom ROMs in future but official update is impossible.

In my opinion, it will get Android p before EOL

Qualcomm relased (or it's going to) special patches for Snapdragon 8xx and 660 and 636 to help manufacturers update their devices to Android P. If Xiaomi doesn't update Remi Note 5 Pro /China/global to P, fanbase is going to literally destroy them for that

Dude,China variant is launched with 8.1,how come you say its impossible to get official P ? It will be the first official OS upgrade.It should and it will certainly get updated i can assure you.

Xiaomi only give one major update for redmi note series.. which got N -> O.. so no more major android update (unless they change their policies)..
and now about Chinese variant, Redmi Note 3 Qualcomm launched in china as Redmi Note 3 (SE) with 6.0.1, it never got a single major android update..
[BTW a huge number of custom ROM will be available, thanks to Project Treble Support]

I dont think Xiaomi cares about that. They did that to RN3 Pro (Kenzo) users and they just looked the other way.

I think there will not be any development so soon since the kernel resources were not fully released. Atm, I will wait for unlocking bootloader and global rom.

It's a Mediatek phone, so don't expect any custom ROMs.
Take a look back at the Xiaomi phones released with Mediatek chips and see how little support from developers it got

Redmi Note 4 MTK was released with Android 6 (Marshmallow) and never received a working Android 7 (Nougat).
Redmi Note 4 Snapdragon was also released with Android 6 and received Android 7 (Nougat), Android 8 (Oreo), Android 9 (Pie) and there is already an Android Q beta version released.
The choice is simply: If you want a custom ROM don't buy Mediatek

Let's wait, we never know! The (partial) source code release is a step forward. I think that the "missing" code parts have with the LCD to do and not with the chip anyway.

There are many differences :
- Xiaomi never released Kernel sources on Note 4 (MTK), you can find Note 2 and 3's on their GitHub (very tardily released), but not Note 4's...they already release Note 8 Pro's
- Xiaomi didn't sell Note 4 in western countries...now they officially sell many devices in Europe.
- most western users bought SD625 version instead...MTK community wasn't that big
Sources are there, now Mediatek need a "best seller"...unless that, custom rom won't exist
In past, a team succeed in doing rom for several Mediatek's devices (M.A.D. Team)

Mediatek still isn't popular with developers and I wouldn't expect custom ROM. Snapdragon is always the safer bet

Lineage os 17.1 for oneplus 7t ????

Guys oneplus 7t is great device to own and given oneplus's support for devlopers is also great but still why the devlopment is slow compared to oneplus 7 ,7pro & 7t pro.

I don't think the LOS developers will build / support for any device without a working TWRP, which includes 7T / Pro.
So it's up to people on their hobby with the device to build an unofficial LineageOS.
If I'm not mistaken, Paranoid Android will come soon and support 7T / Pro, not sure when though.

After a few more twrp releases, and the covid-19 virus settles down, the focus will be on android 10 so we should have one before the year is over hopefully

Because TWRP is not fully functional now.
But building ROM for devices without TWRP is not any harder, so I don't know.
There are most likely other ROMs in telegram, treskmod for example. And most kernels are unified now, if they work for 7 Pro they work for 7T/Pro.

Those phones shipped with Android Pie I believe. So that's probably why. The problem is with phones that ship with Android 10

This is absolutely the case on this one. There's a difference between running A10 and being shipped with A10. It's all good though.

There is still not an official build for the 7t can we use the build for 7t pro and flash it ?
And I am wondering a lot of projects support the 7t pro but not 7t

I tried to use 7TPro LOS builds (and other custom roms include AOSP roms) at my 7T several times . Simply it is working but with some problems . For example camera is not working . FOD working but Fingerprint image position is wrong due to resolution differences between the models I guess . I am not developer but I am thinking that these (minor) problems can fix easily if someone who knows how to fix them .

Try only to flash rom for "hotdogb" instead of others. Tryout the Xtended XR rom stock android with tons of customisation and rock stable Minor bugs exists in launcher. That can be overcomed by any thirdparty launcher

I tried to boot A12 beta 1 AOSP GSI from Google which includes GMS. I am running a A/B device with Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G chipset and 6/128 GB memory. I can boot the GSI perfectly but there is no sound in the system! Also brightness slider is not working...
In phh-treble GSI ROMs, there is options to fix Qualcomm audio, alternate screen brightness scale etc.
How to fix audio and brightness issues in A12 beta 1 GSI ROM?

One of my friends who flashed the GSI is also facing no sound bug. So, probably you'll have to wait till beta 2 for that.

i tried the aosp_arm64-exp-SPB1.210331.013-7333779-3227774b.zip but the device stucks on bootlogo.

Check which props are set in these options (see phhusson's github) and use adb setprop ..... to set them.

The gsi a12 beta is available as dsu update... Is best way to try without riscs

Searching with Google, i found that it wirks only of some device. That whas build from a10 (my mia3 have pie when i bought it). I think it depends from this. It's appearead because i have installed i custom rom. It' a shame because beta 2 seems better than beta 1... With more functions and bug fixed. But there's already a good port for mia3 with stock android 11... For users who want to try android 12 experience
