Has anyone else noticed the touch screen latency going up/being slow when using the device while connected to a power outlet? Been happening to me on lineage os based ROMs and omni ROM as well...? Not while unplugged though
Using stock nextbit charging cord and a iPhone 7 brick to charge my device (if it matters) and it happens every time.
EDIT: was my brick causing the issue the entire time.. Never seen this before. Finally bought a new one and boom back to normal

Hi,
My Nexus been great since I got it about 3 months ago. On stock KK, unlocked and rooted. But today it just shut down. There was a message on screen but it closed off straight away and I could not read it. Plugged it in thinking the battery was low but on boot it's at 57%. It ran for a few minutes then the message "attach charger " appeared and it shut down again.
So it's plugged in again and I will let it get to 100%.
Is this a known issue ? Does anyone have a similar issue ?
I have heard about random spikes which would randomly report the battery as being 90%+ in the battery stats. Could this be a random drop in the battery voltage? Maybe....

Not sure if related or not but have read somewhere about the N7 turning off with plenty of battery, and then 5 flashing lights. I dont think I saw the solution but I remember people saying it was either due to a faulty charger unit, or if you have the N7 inside a case with any metal parts it cut be interfering with the battery for example (kind of like what aarsyl said about the spikes), hence possibly the random shutdown.
As I say possibly unrelated, but if you are using a case try leaving it out for a while, and if you are charging make sure to use a genuine Asus Nexus 7 charger.
Just some ideas maybe
My Nexus is in the official Nexus Case (Christmas pressie) and I only ever use the official charger.
I have done a factory reset so will see what happens over the next few days.
Hi folks,
I have this odd issue with my Find 7s that seems to occur on certain ROMs.
I've run Omni, Nameless, ASOP, CM11, unofficial CM 12 and now the official; nightlies and it has occurred on some including CM12 now.
The phone will every 2 or 3 seconds discharge and recharge when plugged into the VOOC charger. I reported it to Oppo when it first happened and they sent another charger which seemed to work.
I thought that was that but then I realised both chargers were working fine.
A new ROM and the problem was back, then gone, then back and so on.
I use a whopping Love Mei case so there is no damage to the phone. While it's hard to examine, the micro USB port looks undamaged. I figure if it were, the problem would occur across ROMs and while using non VOOC trickle charge units.
I'll post any additional info as needed, but fair warning I am a bit of an idiot.
[Update: the charging problems occur when VOOC charging only. After the phone hits 80% or whatever it stops disconnecting.]
-- And while I'm here, is there a way to adjust the horrid storage ratio for CM12? I know it's not yet unified but geeeesss it suuucks! ---
Anyone? It still does it!
Hey guys,
first of - sorry if this is oftopic.
I notice heavy charging issues on my g4 intl. The phone just won't charge probably.
I'm running on the latest cyanogenmod nightly, everything else works fine.
Cyanogen says "slow charging" even when I plug in the original cable, or a quick charge wallplug. With all micro USB cables everything is fine for a week or two, but after that everything repeats again.
It seems like the phone cuts down the input power to 300 milli amps or so, while "charging" the battery percentage is going down sometimes, too.
When the phone is off and plugged in, the charging is slow too.
But sometimes everything is fine for a charge or two.
Does anyone have the same issue or have a solution?
Greetings from germany
Okay I found some guys talking about this here, but is there any final solution for this?

It happens to me too, stock ROM, cm13, aosp, no difference.
I have tried changing USB cable (only cable) and device begin charging normally again.
I don't think it's something software related..
But if you have already tried with another charger and problem is still there..
I'm really frustrated. I don't know what is happening to my g4, since 2 month's I noticed heavy red screen ghosting, too. The phone was already repaired once from lg, there the problem was that it won't boot up anymore.. Next time I won't buy lg..

I got problems with display too..
Both lateral sides are brighter than the rest of the screen.
Especially with dark images it is absolutely horrible.
Will never ever buy LG anymore.
same problem here with the ghosting and the super slow charge some times battery goes down even while plugged to original charger, had a G2 before this, love the phone was almost flawless, this one I had it for almost a year now, piece of **** full of problems, now after the lates OTA the unlocking is retardedly slow, I double tap for unlocking the screen wakes up but dimmed and unresponsive and after a second it fully wakes up, I'm so frustrated with this piece of ****, the only good thing is the camera. Btw regarding the slow charging problem, I tried with different batteries and chargers and same results (I'm fully stock, no root no nothing)

my problem is that sometimes it just doesn't charge at all the led blinks and i wake up for 0%
Just as it says in the title i am experiencing horrible battery performance on my HTC ONE (M8) ever since i rooted and custom rommed my phone along with other small bugs i noticed. I am currently running the latest DIRTY UNICORNS for the android 6.0 update. Though this was not my first ROM used. Not i will get out of the way that my charging port is very poor quality due to being abused for a while. (Laying in bed with the charging cable and port recieving light pressure while i browse pictures for hours on end.) Anyways. I was charging my phone it being at 34% yesterday and i made sure not to touch it and the little charging light was on indicating charge the entire time while the phone was TURNED OFF. Now at this time I had finished trying out a dozen different roms and was full charging the phone. When i picked up the device about an hour and a half later expecting a full charge it you wont believe me. The phone displayed 17% and was still charging. I was shocked. I figured it was some fluke and left it to charge more. After all i'd installed roms and maybe it'd affected the % reading. I went to pick it up later and the phone was fully dead. but the indicator said 0% and was charging. Now i knew 2 days ago my battery was pristine before rooting my device and before trying out roms. Is it possible i tried a dirty rom that hijacked my phone while it was "Off" ? I have no clue. I know my battery was pristine because on a 1.5A plug my phone would 0-100 in under 2 hours. This is the most of the information i have for you. Again i have no idea what's causing this issue.
Another issue i am having is since i rooted and tried custom roms my LED light on the front of my phone got IIIINNNNCCRREEEdibly dim. It has to be pitch black for you to even see the glow from it. Along with the issue stated above my phone cant seem to charge more than about 35%~ and it takes so long per % i swear i could leave it plugged in WHILE TURNED OFF and it would never reach 100% until the day i keel over and die. Note all battery tests were while the phone was off. Whenever i turn the phone on the % is always different from the on screen while off. (it use to be the same, maybe the ROM messes with that?) Any advice or assistance is greatly appreciated. I already am saving up for maintenance on the charging port.
An additional issue I am facing is the fact even with minimalist android 6.0 my HTC ONE M8 is incredibly slow. As in there is absolutely no apps running or installed with this test. But i tried 1 single game and while on a normal HTC update for 6.0 and the game ran smooth with no lag. So what gives? I thought a minimalist android rom would give my phone a power boost with all the bloatware and applications removed.
I began typing this message at 5:45pm MST my time. It's now 5:55pm MST and my phone managed to go from 0%-2%. Now obviosuly anyone whos owned an HTC ONE M8 on the correct charger this thing really charges so what gives?
Yes i am making sure the ROMS i used were compatible with my HTC being on the carier of AT&T. Any and all assistance in my troubles is greatly greatly appreciated. I really hope you can help me with my issue.
**Edit:: Also my Megabits Per Second on wifi greatly decreased. I on the regular android 6.0 by HTC for AT&T was getting 250-300 Mbps. Now i get 130-180. If there's a comment or fix for this i'd also like to know.
****Secondary Edit: When i installed the A ROM(unknown i tried too many) a while back my phone freaked out on install and the charging animation on the front of my phone went from the normal android 6.0 to the old old HTC charging animation for android 4.4. When the phone goes to display charging it shows that new charging icon with the ghastly red text on bottom from rooting/ROMS(You know what i mean haha) and then it switched to an animation of old. Idk how a rom might have changed this i did not.
Greetings all, I've been a longtime reader of xda, but never a poster. As this is my first post. After upgrading to Nougat I now have issues with fast charging. 98% of the time when I plug in my charger, it will switch between fast charging and charging in one second intervals with vibration. If it does decide to "fast charge", it will charge at regular speed while displaying fast charge. HOWEVER, It fast charges as normal with the phone powered off. I tried new high quality micro usb's and trying different fast charging samsung adapters, and doing a factory data reset. I have tried toggling fast charging in settings too. It seems to be software related. I am assuming there aren't any custom Nougat roms yet, as I cant find them here. Has anyone heard or experienced this, and have any tricks to try? Thanks in advance!
I've been having issues after installing Nougat where occasionally it will go from charging to not charging back and forth about five to ten times intermittently, though I have noticed some issues with fast charging as well.
@grandomegabosses That is exactly the issue I am having. When it does finally settle down it will tell me ridiculous amount of time to complete full charge, like 1.5 hours when I'm already at 20%. If you see the same, try charging with phone off... It should be WAY faster... Thank for your reply.
I had issues a few times where my phone was really hot after being on the charger for an hour or so just to find out that it only charged up 10% or 15% more than it was when I put it on the charger. This happened to me once with it powered off...my phone only charged to 79% when it should have had plenty of time to reach full. Powering off the phone before charging seems to help 99% of the time. Hoping my S6 gets updated again, or they'll forget about us and it'll catch on fire one day. Sad we still can't get updates from directly from Google compiled in a cloud based server @ Samsung with appropriate kernel and have a flashable package of Samsung Apps and interfaces, that could be downloaded from your Samsung account and verified by Knox. We'd be on Android Oreo already if it were setup that way...
Okay, so I did have this issue, but I've easily solved the issue by flashing stock via Odin. Nand erase all, I did an efs clear just because. Also, checked the phone bootloader update. But after that, everything worked perfect.
