(Q): any good dialer out there?

I want to add CM6 dialer to my docrom, Its a mess to get it running tho. Any other lightweight alternative dialer out?

one of darkys rom had a transparent stock one i use that now on your rom

how can i get that transparent dialer from darkys rom to use in another rom?

i dont know how to upload a file on here but if you got email ill send the apk to u. then all u do is use root explorer and copy the file into system/apps and overwright the one whats already there. if it dont let u then click the r/o button at the top and try again and it will work, then bingo u have transparent keyboard

elo mate figured it out. i attached the apk here dialertabactivity.apk any probs just inbox me

I have been using Youlu for a week. Like it so far. Nice, clean UI and functional

Just tried to install this but it asked if I wanted to uninstall the stock one? Don't really want to do that as I may never get it back.

if you want the old one back just have the apk saved and do the same again with the stock apk

cruznec linked you to a good page but it makes no difference weather you do it as a zip of mount it urself. the zip will do the same it will replace ur stock with the transparent dialer

@tehpriest....
before installing mine.......get a backup of the original one using root explorer.....copy it from system/app into ur sdcard........
u got it backed up......
now if u wish to go back then just replace the apk frm my zip file with the backup apk and flash it

Hi , I am not the developer of this apps . I found it somewhere in xda . Although it is for HDPI , but also works for wfs with few improper icons position like app drawer icon . Someone pl.make changes for perfection.

Extract the zip , go to xtras folder , by assuming xtras as / place the apks and other staffs which one is needed into appropriate folder ,change permissions, reboot and enjoy .

Samsung Apps from S4, new icon, just pulled from S4 today

Hi all, as the topic title
today my country officially selling galaxy s4
and I manage to pull the samsung apps, but tried to install it, failed
push to system / app, also failed
but since the icon is newer (pink + purple colour), anybody can make a flashable zip to replace the current samsung apps icon ?

Just open (not extract) the apk with winrar or 7zip. As long as icons have the same name, you can swap them about as much as you like.

If he decompiled it and recompiled it, often they are smaller. Means nothing

you can't install it
delete your samsung apps apk under system / app
then download the one upload by -Aatif- and put into system / app
permission rw-r-r

[HELP]Stock Settings apk Not Installing

Hello all. I recently used the modded settings apk made by Balliboxer for our Grand Duos. Later, when I tried to replace it with a stock settings.apk, the settings app dissapeared from my phone and even when I click the settings icon in the notification bar it doesn't open.
Now, I used root explorer and moved to system/app and found SecSettings.apk there. But when I changed permissions to rw-r--r-- and clicked install after mounting R/W, it says "APP NOT INSTALLED". Pls help.

You don't install system apps. You move to system, change permissions and reboot.

Bu this app which I have isn't the Grand's. It has many other options and keeps force closing. Please can you give me the stock secsettings of the grand duos? I'm on stock 4.2.2 Touchwiz.

I have noticed face lock screen security in many android devices and want it too in my XL..but it doesn't have any such option..
So can anyone tell me how to manually add that option to security menu..

if you use miniROM S5-Inspired Series for nokia x-xl . this option will appear on security/Facelock
use attachment and replacing in /system/app/ directory and reboot phone. these two files of minirom s5
Note: make backup of setting.apk and settingprovider.apk then press thanks button:good:
