Guys, i need help. The emui 5 package has been released for 6x (BLN-L21C185) but it's not showing up in my phone. My friend got the update yesterday. I needbto rollback to emui 4.1 to be able to update. Any help? The rollback packages aren't working. I havr tried out all of them.

No rollback package available for BLN-L21C185.
You have to wait till huawei release package for our device.

Yes. Updated for b360 via firmware finder when it came out. Then a couple weeks ago, b361 was released with some security patches. But unable to receive the final nougat build.

Just got my Honor 6x last week. I haven't unlocked the bootloader or rooted the phone yet, and honestly, I'm not sure I'm going to bother doing so this time around. I also haven't installed the update to EMUI 5.0 yet. If in the future I do decide to unlock the bootloader, or root the phone, is there any reason I shouldn't install the EMUI 5.0 update now, or is it safe to do so?

It is absolutely safe and works fine unless there is any bug for your specific model.
There is neither one reason to remain on EMUI 4. Everything is better on Nougat, you'll see
emui 5 lags on prolonged usage ....this is said to be fixe in b370

He already got. He just wanted to be sure before he update.
I was told that H8 pro will get the update before 2018 but there is nothing about it yet. I even signed up for beta but they are not replying now.

And this is really not good because devices half the price get atleast 1 security patch in 3 months but here it's been September since a security patch update, let alone some feature additions or improvements.

Indian variants haven't received any update since September and there's news that there will be no oreo beta test for Indian variant. Instead, a stable build will be launched directly.

i really dont understand, just to give an ota for beta oreo update will take a week or more.. register then waiting for a long time.. on my 6p just 1 click and it will comeout the update right away,but sad to say its a goodbye (bootloop)
I have the 3 ZIP files of probably the stable oreo update, got from Firmware finder app. Do i have to unlock the bootloader and then follow the procedure to install unapproved OTA from the AIO thread or is there any simpler way ?

Honor says that they are testing the update. Now, all of those of registered for the beta test haven't received the update. Serious lack of communication.
Seems like even Honor doesn't know how to deal with this situation.

Ever since I updated my phone to EMUI 8 I've been regretting it. The stock ROM lacks certain features, also, the way it handles notifications is annoying. I am not able to revert back to EMUI 5.x through dload method. Is there any other way to do it? I tried installing dot, rros, mokee ROMs which ended up in bootloop. If someone could help me out I'd appreciate it a lot.

Try using HiSuite on the PC and press Check Update, then choose "Downgrade to earlier version".
It works on my Huawei Mate 9 Pro with Oreo, should be the same on Honor 8 Pro?

Try using the steps in the link to downgrade to emui 5 and then falsh the desired rom... Hope this helps

It only supports FullOTA, pro-teammt seems to have removed nougat FullOTA for C675. Can I directly flash another region firmware over mine?

You might need to rebrand the phone using the Rebranding guide..
Solved
I rebranded my phone by directly flashing c432 over my indian version using the fullOTA flasher. It booted into "testkeys" version, then I flashed c432 oeminfo from the rebranding/restoring guide using the flash command in TWRP terminal. It worked perfectly. If I can get the fullOTA files and oeminfo for the Indian version I'll have my initial, out of the box, phone.

I bet they have silently cancelled it, there was a beta project in my country, I was approved, but never received the ota, it is now gone from the beta app.

But some recent news on internet are even confirming EMUI 9.1 for our device. How could they cancel 9.0 and confirm 9.1. Maybe they are upgrading the device directly to 9.1 that's why they removed the 9.0 Update from FUT

There seem to be some updates for your model on Firmware Finder, if you're willing to tinker with it you can give HuRUpdater a try. Personally, I just wanted emui 9 to move to newer openkirin releases.

Yes there are but I don't have a spare phone these days to use as a daily driver if anything messes up so I am a little bit afraid to do a force update.

Which security patch did you have on EMUI 9.1? I'm looking to move to OmniRom and apparently the security patches from May onwards caused bootloops with OpenKirin images.

It came with the June security patch, I was not able to use OmniRom (bootloops as you said, adb starts tho not fully) but I actually tried RR for emui 9 and it worked

np, I got pretty worried when I got the bootloop, thinking that the update to emui 9.1 was somehow "incomplete".
Btw under RR the device is seen as "Kirin Treble" and not Honor 7X, but from what I can tell everything works fine. Do you also have the European model?
