I was trying to install superzen but I accidentally wiped the OS. Am I screwed? Is there anything I can do, or is this looking like I bricked the phone?

Go there and look at section 3.2. MAKE ABSOLUTELY SURE that you grab the correct firmware for your device (WW or CN, 550 or 551). As far as I can tell, unless you made a NANDROID backup in custom recovery prior to wiping system, this would be your only way back to working order.
Are you currently unable to get back to a custom recovery? Can you not just successfully flash superzen now?

Thanks for the reply, it seems that my computer can't recognize my phone through adb, i can get into recovery, but my phone is just not recognizable. I should mention that it was earlier, and I installed supersu with cwm tethered.
EDIT: I can't use fastboot for twrp.img, it says I don't have permission and now I can't even access recovery because I'm stuck in a bootloop.
UPDATE: Ok so fastboot recognized the phone but I do not have permission to load twrp.img
Have you got this sorted now?

no, every time I try to flash twerp with fastboot, I get this error
"writing recovery failed <remote: permission denied>"
EDIT: HOLY HELL GUYS I FIXED IT! It turns out, my usb cord didn't work for some reason, tried another one and it works fine. Doing adb sideload right now.

I wanted t oinstall Cm13 so booted into bootloader and unlocked it.
Then I installed TWRP 2.8.7.2 as my recovery. Then booted into recovery and flashed CM13 of 20/12.
It then started bootlooping the bootanimation. I waited for half an hour. The phone became heated and I switched it off.
I then decided to go back to stock 6.0.1 but I could flash using flash-all.sh. I then decided to flash manually each image and was able to flash boot, cache and recovery. But cannot flash system and vendor. Can someone help me i this.
Can anyone provide a twrp backup that I can use. (I didn't do a backup myself).
Please can someone help. Just bought the phone 2 days back. Please help.

There is no error. When I manually try to flash system or vendor there is the message sending 'vendor' or sending 'system' and gets stuck with that message. waited for almost half an hour and still no change.
When I booted into twrp, it says cannot mount /vendor and /system.
Edit : I use Linux by the way.

well, interesting. i've never experienced problem like you have... have you already tried to do it in windows? or install TWRP v2.8.7.0 and format partitions in that version and then reflash original ROM. but remember, with 2.8.7.0 you wont be able to flash CM13 (at least on my N5X i wasn't....)

Shouldn't you be using the latest twrp 2.8.7.2? Ive had issues flashing roms without using the latest version. You could also have issues with older versions of twrp and encryption. Id suggest wiping data from twrp and then flashing the factory image from bootloader.
Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
Im in the exact same situation and my fastboot is broken. My PC isnt recognizing a device is attached anymore. No system or vendor mount in twrp
I think to be able to really do anything you need to get into bootloader and have fastboot recognize the device. Make sure the files from 6.01 are all correct and you're flashing in the right order. Follow the guide item #8 http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-5x/general/guides-how-to-guides-beginners-t3206930 If you can get the system.img and vendor.img flashed and then lock the bootloader it will wipe everything to factory, internal storage included. If you do that you must have stock recovery.img flashed as well. If downloading system.img hangs reboot and try it again.

I got it to work. I just had to change the USB port.
Why don't you try a different USB port or a different cable. Or even try on a different computer.
Hello,
I've tried everything that the internet has to offer so far and still can't get the newest version to install on my phone without failing somewhere in the installation process.
I feel like asking for help isn't of much use, because it could be everything.
I tried resetting the phone completely with this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-3/how-to/guide-mega-unbrick-guide-hard-bricked-t3405700
After that I wanted to install the update again, and still no success.
Next time you make a thread regarding an issue be kind enough to tell us the state of your phone to the best of your knowledge, whether its working or not? does it show the oneplus logo or not..... these things matter plenty!
judging from the what you have mentioned in your post, your main issues is not being able to install the latest update.
try these steps
1. download this file https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24591000424945019 [thanks to namman bhalla for his thread, http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-3/how-to/mirrors-official-oxygen-os-roms-ota-t3410870]
2. copy and paste it onto your phone.
3. now boot into your phones recovery twrp preferred
4. from there choose the option which says..... click install new zip. and select the zip that you downloaded....
it should work if it doesn't, give us a detailed description of what and all you have done with your phone whether you have unlocked the bootloader, whether there is a custom recovery installer and most importantly whether you have nandroid backup of your device.

I tried using that method and it failed, I can get into recovery just fine and my bootloader is unlocked because I flashed twrp
I have a backup I made in twrp.
I got the official support tool (MsMDownloadTool) and I could restore my phone to 3.1.2 but it still crashes apps and is very unstable.
If I now try to install the update again, or try to flash the full OxygenOS 3.2.1 or 3.1.2 I get the Error 7 ("system partition has unexpected contents").
I dont get this error because the system partition couldnt have been modified, because I didnt even start the phone , I just got into recovery and tried updating it.
I'm losing my mind on this.
Sorry if that was a ramble and isn't understandable
calm down!
boot into twrp, wipe system ,data, cache, dalvik. now try flashing the latest full rom i.e. 3.2.2.
try this and let me know....
if it didn't work give me step by breakdown of what you did.....

Hi guys,
As soon as I got the OP3 in July, I somehow managed to successfully perform all the steps to get it rooted. I was running OnePlus3Oxygen_16_OTA_013_all_1608061823_765c081a5c8e4dad.zip
OnePlus has been showing me a "new version available" since September, but I very patiently and calmly didn't install it OTA because I didn't want to lose the root.
Finally had a bit of time today, decided I'd finally upgrade. Looked around for the "most recent stable version" and picked this one: OnePlus3Oxygen_16_OTA_035_all_1612310359_e10cadfb2af7.zip
Followed the steps for flashing using TWRP (twrp-3.0.2-1.28-oneplus3) here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-3/how-to/oxygenos-4-0-android-nougut-official-t3529684
It worked. Yay. Then (god dammit **** ****) I still saw this "new version available" and couldn't swipe it away... I accidentally clicked it and it downloaded the OTA. Fine.
Now I'm stuck in a TWRP boot loop. I tried re-installing the OTA_035.zip from TWRP -- I tried restoring my Nandroid Backup (only had enough room to save "Boot / Recovery / System" partitions, NOT data) -- and I tried ADB Sideloading 16_OTA_013.zip.
I'm stuck rebooting in TWRP 3.0.2-1.
Is there anything I can try before going ballistic and wiping my data?
Thanks.
Marc

Hey Puddi_Puddin, thanks for replying.
I never heard of blu-spark, but gave it a shot. Even though the guide seems to apply only to OP3T: https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/...-or-custom-recovery-without-data-loss.479265/
Anyways I flashed blu-spark with ADB. Booted into blu-spark. Wiped Dalvik/Cache, re-installed OnePlus3Oxygen_16_OTA_035_all_1612310359_e10cadfb2af7.zip, wiped Dalvik/Cache, rebooted -- keeps booting into blu-spark TWRP.
Get the "device unlocked" error screen, then the dm-verity error screen, then the OnePlus logo for about 2 seconds, and then back to blu-spark. Repeat ad nauseum.
What state is my device even in? I wouldn't call it bricked... I assume it's still rooted, bootloader works, I can flash different TWRP versions, ...
Any other ideas ... ?

After you've flashed the full zip, flash also the latest stable version of SuperSu (2.79) and latest TWRP from @eng.stk (the v11, it solves the dm-verity error). Then reboot to recovery, it should appear TWRP and the error should't appear.

There are quite a few versions of TWRP from eng.stk (bluspark). Which one did you install? Try version 11 which is supposedly for N or 3.0.2-19 or 23.

From where have you dowloaded the OTA? XDA or OnePlus forum?
I saw a thread regarding the OnePlus 3T update some post above, if you've downloaded from there you've made a mistake if you own a OnePlus 3.

You mean 3.0.2-19 or 23. Not blu_spark, right? Ok I tried twrp-3.0.2-23-oneplus3.img from here (https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=529152257862684308)
I tried flashing my old images I used last year (I just wanted the phone to boot into *something*) Oxygen_16_OTA_013 & SuperSU-v2.74. Managed to boot. Updated 4 Apps (??) But as soon as the login screen came up, it would reboot ... and keep looping. So I couldn't use the phone, but at least I managed to boot into something other than TWRP.
Next I tried to reinstall OOS4, 16_OTA_035 with SuperSU-v2.79 SR2. Still get the verity error, but at least I managed to boot! But - the phone is *super* buggy/unusable... SIM cards aren't working - I can't access my options screen - and "Developer options are not available for this user".
Now from my "About" screen I have OOS 4.0, Android 7.0, Kernel version 3.18.31-perf+ [email protected] <-- (that's from my TWRP version. right?)
Did the OTA I install from OnePlus directly screw everything up? For that brief moment before I installed it, I tasted a seemingly properly working OOS 4, so I know it's possible...
A few lessons I've learned are -- I can use any recovery (TWRP) to use MTP and flash files and stuff... but in order for the phone to work properly, I have to a) flash the SuperSU (not just the ROM) and b) make sure I have the "correct/proper" TWRP (kernel?) matched with each ROM. Is that kind of right? That's where I'm stuck I guess.

This post mentions a procedure to get rid of verity https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-3/how-to/fix-device-mapper-verity-simple-trick-t3530685

I'm also a bit confused about the best version of SuperSU-v2.79 to use, because blu_spark was writing somewhere (can't find where) that SR1 and SR2 were the cause of battery issues ... So yeah, I've got other things to try, but should the ROM from OOS4.0.1 work with any of them?
THANKS.

In my opinion, the only thing you can try is to make a data backup from recovery to any external storage (like a pendrive) by Otg, but it takes some risks. In case this partition has been damaged, you can get issues when you install the rom.
The safest you can do is clean installation in spite of you lose data so, full wipes and a new full rom.

You have to install stock recovery, and then reboot into recovery, you will have a instalation error, reboot and loop solved Then, you can flash your twrp and su without loosing data

Thanks for taking the time to comment. Yes, actually that's exactly the guide I wanted to follow. But I'm stuck before even starting -- if I make Nandroid Backup now (in ext4) I can't load it back once filesystem changes to f2fs -- isn't that right?

Yes, I was on f2fs before this happens, so I only have to install all without formating data. You should do a manual backup to do that, once on recovery, you be able to enter phone data partition from windows. Copy all folders you want to save before formating to f2fs in recovery. Other setup and configuration like ringtones and stuff, all cache and configuration of apps, wallpaper, led, colors and themes... you will lost it. I don't know how to backup that, but its the worst part of formating data... google backup doesn't save all the config
You will start with the android phone start menu, like new, with new dactilar and patron security, etc...
@Zingapuro
Try TWRP 3.0.2_19 and Supersu 2.79 stable. For some people this works and according to eng. stk, only Supersu 2.79 stable is compatible with N.

Tried flashing twrp-3.0.2-19-oneplus3.img and from TWRP installing:
OnePlus3Oxygen_16_OTA_037_all_1701041839_aa64b084a40a4.zip
UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.79-20161211114519.zip
Same issues as described above: boots into 4.0.1, but buggy, SIM cards don't work, no Dev options, etc...

Yeah, I have a feeling this is my only choice. This is the next thing I'll try.

It will fix most of your issues.
For going back to full stock use this guide: https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/guide-how-to-unroot-your-oneplus-3-and-go-back-completely-to-stock.456232/
I hope everything will go back to normal.

Great!
I think you can edit the thread title
Boot into your recovery [Vol+ and Power]
Connect your phone to your PC
Execute the following fastboot command on your PC (More informations on fastboot)
Code:
fastboot continue
Your phone will start right away. :good:
Hi,
So this morning I decided to root my phone (BND-L21)
I did it! But I realise I couldn't use Snapchat since being rooted didn't allow me. After going through various methods, I gave up and was left with the only guaranteed method, which was to unroot my phone.
I got stuck in a bootloop after pressing the unroot button in SuperSU.
I can access TWRP mode, Recovery mode, and the Rescue mode or something.
The Recovery mode which used wifi to reset my phone by installing a fresh rom had failed..
The rescue mode i have no idea what to do with (neither do I have any idea about ADB to help me out here)
In TWRP mode, i wiped everything and formatted data, hoping something would happen because nothing else did.
Everything I tried to do, I would just end up back in the booting screen with "Your device is.....booting...."
On my PC, it recognises my honor 7x in RECOVERY if I type in adb devices.
I'm believe I'm almost at a critical stage of turning my phone into a brick.
I tried downloading stock rom and installing it from TWRP mode but it came up with "UPDATER PROCESS ENDED WITH ERROR: 9"
Please help. I can't afford another one, nor do I have a backup phone. It says I have no current ROM if I intend to reboot my phone.

formating in twrp was not a good idea. These huawei phones have "other" files that system needs stored on /data. The stock recovery skips these files when doing a reset, twrp does not.
you should probably flash fullOTA to get back to working stock now.
try to follow this guide.

Um, the situation changed quite drastically.
I can't access TWRP anymore and when I plugged my phone in to my computer it detects it as a disk drive...
Can I still flash stock rom using sd card or anything else?
(Also, i sent it to a repair shop today and they'll get back to me tomorrow.)

Oh ok. Will this method work even if I don't have any OS installed on my phone?
Also, are the 3 files you mentioned in your post refer to the ones within the filelist of Firmware Finder?
