Probably thermal throttling to prevent overheating. Nothing to worry about
I do not see a performance drop, but rather a "stuttering" in touchscreen response, most visible when using a touchscreen tester app... It makes using the phone impossible with missed touches and delayed/doubled touch responses... The problem is that this issue is not exhibited every time I charge it... I cannot discern any pattern to trigger this specific issue either...
So for now, I simply unplug to use...
And we all continue to pay less in cash, but pay in other ways by being their beta testers...

If you're not using the bundled charger or one purchased from Xiaomi, then you ARE using a third-party charger.

Haha, yes, I am using a third-party charger, but my "I don't think so" was directed at the "cheap current regulation chargers".
I have never tested them as the chargers are always US electrical type A connectors (and we use type G where we live); I will dig out a converter to double check this, although I sincerely doubt it as even the much-vaunted portable Xiaomi and Aukey battery/power banks also exhibit the same issue sporadically (and we are talking DC to DC; i.e. without any cheap half wave converters or lousy capacitors)...

I'm using aukey qc2.0 charger and no touchscreen affected (I know what you mean by it)
I'm having the same issue with the cable included with the phone. is this an issue with the cable or the phone itself? the screen is very unstable and i could barely use the phone while charging.
try charging with another charger. i'm using a 3rd party qc 3.0 charger and it works fine, no hiccups when charging.

This isn't a problem but more of just a general question. So does anyone else experience your phone kinda lagging or having screen sensitivity issues (have to press hard on screen to scroll) while having the phone charge? This is like a 50/50 thing sometimes it does this sometimes not. So post your experiences with this

Yes indeed. In my case, it's caused by my HTC USB cable that came with the phone. When I use the charger from my old LG ENV3, i never get that problem at all. As soon as I switch to the HTC cable, it's nearly un-usable whilst plugged in. It's odd, because the HTC cable works fine for charging and transferring data, so I don't know, but there's something wonky with it.
Hmm interesting

Nope, you're not. It can certainly become rather annoying if you're trying to use your phone while it's charging.
Yea, using swype is IMPOSSIBLE when plugged in.
I never used to have this problem before, so I wonder if this is something that comes with age of the phone. I've run all kinds of roms/kernels and never had this issue until maybe a month ago. But I think I've successfully narrowed it down.
You need a charger that outputs 5v at 1000mA. Any more or less and you'll get the wonky response. I have an 800mA and a 1.5A charger at 5v and I get the laggy response. And I took it a step further and noticed that I get maximum charging speed (regardless of kernel, I've tried stock and custom/SBC kernels) with a 28/24 AWG or 24/24 AWG micro USB cable. If you still rock the stock HTC charger/cable combo you should be golden.

i don't think its from age of the phone because i just got my phone in december (hw 0004) and i am still using the stock htc charger/cable. so idk its a mystery. nice work finding all that out tho its good to know that i am not the only person who experiences this haha.
I only get the problem when I'm plugged into A/C power, but not when I'm plugged into the D/C car charger... I think it has something to do with how the outlet is grounded. Maybe the touchscreen gets confused by getting grounded through the charging port rather than through your body. I'm basically making this up based on hazy memories from an E&M class I took about 8 years ago, but I think it's close. Anybody with any actual knowledge care to correct me?

i don't use my phone with the charger anyway, i mean using your phone with the charger on will make it heat very fast and shorten the battery life.
I'm using the original charger. Issue doesn't occur when using another charger or using
usb charging from my laptop.
So it has to do with the voltage here in the Netherlands.

Nope, i'm in the Netherlands too, original (and aftermarket) chargers work fine with mine.
I used to have this problem with my previous phone too, when using other chargers the screen would get unresponsive.
USB charging should allways work safely because it has a lower voltage and amperage.
I've got dozens of chargers from Apple, HTC, Sony, Toshiba, Generic Replacement(s) and the original Huawei. When charging with any of the chargers I find the touch screen all but unusable.
Personally I don't find this much of a problem.
I don't seem to have trouble using the touchscreen while the 'phone is charging from my iMac via USB which is slightly odd, but I don't think it has anything to do with the voltage in your country or anything like that, more likely something to do with how the chargers are designed.
I think all chargers have roughly the same 5V voltage(4,75---5,25). The ampere level variates, p6 came with 1A charger, usb2 gives max0,5A and usb3 0,9A(correct me if im wrong). Mine is working well with all ive tested: usb2, samsung 0,7A and the huawei original. I also have a ipad charger spec 2,1A 5V but have not tested it as im not sure to what ampere-levels the battery is intended for.
Use the charger on some other switch / wall socket.

I was about to buy this phone, but then i saw this: https://youtu.be/l-MmWqNrCH4?t=195
Can anyone confirm there are touch screen issues when the AC charger is connected?
This seems to be pretty big hardware issue and i wonder if it does affect all Zuk Z2's...
Can anyone test this please?
Multitouch test app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.the511plus.MultiTouchTester&hl=en
Depends on the charger and socket output.
Like when I'm using it with qc3 charger plugged into 220v output socket, there is no such issue, but when plugged into 110v (tried on train's socket), you can see that problem.
This problem is basically with every phone.

This is common for all Zuk Z2 devices.
Its a issue with the charger & not with the device as such. Try using any other good quality charger, this will not happen or if you want to be sure try charging with powerbank you won't face the ghost touch.
try different socket in different location. sometimes ground wire has problem in home which leads to this problem.
I recently bought the phone, and yes, I have experienced the issue quite a few times. But, only a few times. Most of the time, device touchpad works normally while charging. I think thr problem is with the old sockets. I use Stock provided charger. I have heard that it's common in many phones, so I'm ready to ignore it. Because anyways phone should not be used while charging.
With reference to my previous message, I noticed now that the device shows ghost touches while charging, only when device is charging at max speed and is quite hot. While charging, when the phone was between 50%-80%, it had become quite hot (Not too much though), and it gave me ghost touches quite a few times. I think device charges at it's max during these percentage. But when the phone crossed 85%, the device started getting a bit cooler, and I didn't experience the ghost touches at all.
Issue solved
Hi buddy I had the same issue .one day while I connect my z2 with laptop I see that its charging but no touch issue then I realised it need low power charger than that given charger .After that I use my tablet's 5v 1amp .It works nice and it take 2 and half hrs to fully charge .After that I did not face any touch issue.Thats why they does not provide fast charger.I brought my z2 6/08/2017 from flipkart

This is not a phone issue. Lenovo is selling **** quality chargers and cables. If you happen to know (https://www.amazon.com/gp/profile/amzn1.account.AFLICGQRF6BRJGH2RRD4VGMB47ZA) this guy then see his recommendations and buy a good charger or you might even fry your device. This is very dangerous. Shame on Lenovo.

I'm using motorola original fast charger of cellphone of my wife.
I'm also facing this problem. I have divorced parents, the charger that came in the box was a US adapter that I couldn't use. My brother used to have a ZUK z1 and I use his stock charger Together with the original Z2 charger. That one works well. I bought a Blitzwolf USB type C cable, a Tiegem QC3.0 cable and a wish.com charger with great reviews supporting Qualcomm QC3.0, but I recently discovered that zuk z2 uses a different type of fast charging. On the blitzwolf and Tiegem cable i have ghost touches and the phone gets very laggy, does anyone have recommendations? thanks in advance
How will an iPhone charger work.
My proposed solution
I bought this mobile few days back and since then I also have realised about this issue. This isn't ghost touch but the touchscreen becomes ultra reactive with higher input.
I used several apps and found another thing that if any charger inputs anything more than 1.4 amps, the mobile's screen becomes ultra reactive. But if the charger inputs upto 1.3 amps, it is ok. I keep using a charger that gives max output of upto 1.3 amps and I can even play games easily without any issue.
To measure the amps, I use app from play store which is free called Ampere. I am nowhere related to this app, you are most welcome to try this method out.

Hi, I brought a Nokia 6, for my 11 year old son about a month ago.
It was fine until about 4 days ago, when fast charging stopped working, and it only charges very slowly. If the phone is switched off, then it charges at a rate of about 4% per hour, so an overnight charge will charge the battery from empty to about 35%. If the phone is booted but otherwise idle, then the charger will just about keep up with power consumption and the battery percentage does not increase or decrease.
I have tried multiple chargers, cables and power banks. It makes no difference. The fact that I get slow charging when the phone is off suggests that the culprit is unlikely to be a battery draining app.
There is a suspicion of hardware damage, as my son may have pulled the charging cable out, or pushed it in too hard, bent it sideways or the like, though the set of symptoms is odd for a hardware issue, and feels more like software, and in any case the USB type C connector is normally very robust.
The phone is running the latest stock firmware from Nokia. It is not rooted unlocked or the like.
Has anyone seen anything similar? Can you suggest what I can do to investigate the problem further?
Did any of those support Qualcomm quick charge 3 or 4? Try installing Ampere on his phone and check the current from a fast charger with a good USB C cable. If it shows something in the neighborhood of 1500mA to 2300mA this is a software problem. Otherwise this is a hardware problem from somewhere along the circuit. At best all cables you tested are bad. At worst your phone needs a repair.

If you are the type to charge your phone overnight I don't think you need it unless you forgot. Running with a 50-70
Battery is better than having a dead battery, so it is worth it for the safety of mind.
My Nokia charger seems to support it out of the box. It has [email protected], [email protected] and [email protected] Depending on where you got it yours could very well be similar to mine.

I installed Ampere, and it is reporting charge rates of 150 to 450 mA using a generic charger and cable, that works fine with my OnePlus phone. I will have to find the original Nokia charger to be sure, but it does look like some sort of hardware issue.
Thanks.

Interesting. I have charged my TA-1068 on all types of chargers. All have worked within an average amount of time. I wonder if different models are more or less picky. To me, it sounds as if the charging port might be damaged. Kids tend to be tough on equipment.

True, the phone itself might be one or two steps from being a brick with a decent smartphone inside but ports are not always invincible.
Quick update: I took the phone back to the store, and the store decided that it was probably a defect in the phone (not user damage) so they have sent it to Nokia for warranty work. With luck I should get it back repaired in a week or so.
I will post again to report the outcome.

Well the only thing is to try different chargers and see which one is best, I don't know of other solutions. You could also try disabling "Fast charging" in the "More battery settings" menu and see if that helps.
If I'm not mistaken, Samsung phones' screen sensitivity drops when plugged in charger. And this has been the case since Samsung Galaxy S 1.
