Hey everyone, tried to find information all across the internet but didn't find any information.
Anyway, I NEED a case for My soon-to-be-purchased Galaxy S8+, and I need a very protective case, because I do tend to break smartphones like crazy
I searched for the "perfect case" all around the internet, and found the Supcase unicron beetle pro.
I find that case looking really promising, but I have one issue (or question, instead): Does it fit with TGSP? I was condifent that it will (I watched a review with this case + TGSP on a galaxy s7 edge which looked to fit fine), but then I saw a review on amazon that says that it doesn't fit.
Anyone have any answers? I would have posted links and images, but since I'm a "noob" user (although I have been registered for more than 4 years) I can't.
BTW, a little off-topic but I want to be sure that S8+ is the right choice. Do you think it IS? I heard that it is little hard to control the phone because the tall screen, and that reaching the FPS is a lot harder. Do you agree with it? is using the "smaller" galaxy S8 is better? I think It is best to mention that I have above-average hands.
Thanks alot for everyone!

Howdy y'all,
I have a Captivate and have had a hard time finding a flip style case for it.
I have however found one for the i9000. After doing some research, I found that all 3 phones have the same dimensions... so do you think this case will work for my Captivate?
if its a flip style pouch-like thing then maybe. something like a Body Glove...nuh uh

Forgive my ignorance, but if the phone are the same dimensions, why would the captivate not fit into a Body Glove case?
The flip case that I linked snaps onto the phone... still think it may fit?
While the general dimensions are the same, the actual shape is not the same between the Captivate and the Vibrant/international Galaxy S. If it's a case that fits around the shape of the original Galaxy S, it most likely won't fit the Captivate.
There's a flip type case I found for the captivate from WirelessGround. Looks similar to the one from PDair. In fact, I believe they are the same. Both websites also have videos posted on youtube showcasing their respective cases.
I would post the links for you, but I can't. Don't know if that's what you're looking for, but I hope that helps.
cases are compatible among them all as they have the same cut holes for the buttons and mic areas
except for the 4G Epic which has a keyboard slide out
this is yet another reason why we need this

Thanks xer09aradox. It is what I'm looking for, although they're not as attractive as I was hoping.
It's hard to tell from photos, but does the i9000 have more rounded corners than the Captivate?
If it does, then I can't imagine my Captivate being about to fit into the original case I linked in my first post.
the Vibrant has more an iPhone 3GS look to it while the Captivate has much more defined corners
I was searching around for a case, using this thread (which is amazingly helpful, by the way) and I am still undecided.
I was looking for something that would add minimal bulk to the device, considering that its thinness and lightness were key reasons I purchased a Galaxy Tab.
I was very interested in the Anymode cases - particularly the Slim case - after someone mentioned them on this forum. This case appears to be exactly what I'm looking for, but it has to be imported from Korea.
I am interested in folio cases mainly because they significantly reduce the need for a screen protector. Among these, the rooCase Ultra Slim and the Acase Slim Folio seem quite thin. Does anyone with experience know for sure which one is thinner?
Also, has anyone found some other super-slim cases for their Tabs?
I picked up my Galaxy Tab 10.1 with LTE from Verizon the other day and they had this case available for purchase:

I was very happy with it. I think it is just a Samsung brand case. It is very light and has a nice feel to it.

I have already looked at this case, however I feel that it is a little overpriced - not to mention the design flaws that have been mentioned by some posters. Thanks for the input though.

Design flaws or no, that case is awesome. I have had it for a month now, and after using the Belkin folio case, the samsung one is ten times better, and thinner. Also if you use the code SUMMER2011 on the samsung website you will get 15% off your order. Not a bad deal. I wouldnt knock it until you try it first hand.

Thanks for the code
The more I look at it, the better this case seems. It's still a little bit pricey, but it seems to be worth it.
Do you know of any worthy alternatives to this case?
after trying this:
rooCASE Slim-Fit
and
Samsung Galaxy Tablet Pouch
i went with the pouch.
the roocase was nice and slim but did take away from the wow!-it's-light-and-thin factor. i feel any of the cases that stay on the sgt will do that.
one of the main reasons i went with the sgt, like you, was for it's size and weight. every ipad2 owner (almost everyone in my family!) who has played with my sgt has mentioned how thin and light it is, prefaced with "wow!". i love using it naked!
i also have squaretrade insurance just in case i drop it. not saying the roocase or similar would protect it from drops.

I picked this case up at hhgregg for $49+tax and it's quite nice, though a bit overpriced since it probably only costs a couple of bucks to produce.

Yes, I have also looked into this option. It is an attractive alternative to the folio case, for sure.
The Samsung book case will probably be the thinnest option you'll find other than getting an invisible shield on the front and the back and then forgetting about a case completely. I have the book case and although it's got some functional challenges and it's over-priced, the build quality is superb and it actually adds to the aesthetic appeal of the Tab.
I got the roocase and this keeps the tablet pretty thin and light i love that case and i think it's a good buy for whoever wants to buy a thin slim case
Anyone here got the Samsung Book Cover case with the camera hole closer to the locking flap rather than the folding edge? I hate it how my device is upside down when in the 'typing' angle.
I have heard that the only way to overcome this issue is to put the Tab in the case upside down so that it would be right side up in the typing mode.
However, this would completely do away with the camera and headphone jack functionality and is therefore not a real solution.
Dear fellow XDA'ers,
I have recently found something on Youtube and eBay that I'm yet to see anywhere else on the XDA forum.
I'm talking about a German company that supposedly creates CNC machined bumpers and metal cases for Galaxy S2 (which is pretty rare apart from the several Korean/Chinese bumpers).
They have a Youtube account full with videos - http://www.youtube.com/user/creativdesign5
And eBay - http://stores.ebay.de/creativ-design5
Personally, I love their products but I'm wary of their legitimacy due to the lack of content or reference regarding them. Even after thorough Googl'ing, I can't find anything solid or worthwhile on them.
Maybe someone has heard of them before?

Those prices are INSANELY HIGH!!! 54 EURO for an aluminum bumper? I bought my SweetArmor bumpers (which in my opinion are WAY NICER) for like $11.00 CANADIAN each INCLUDING SHIPPING.
These are pretty nice but WOW... What are they lined with... GOLD, PLATINUM, TITANIUM for that price?!
Where did you get your SweetArmor for $11 CAD? Would love to get one at that price to try it out.
I am quite certain these are made from China.
If you look hard enough there are identical products with different branding and cost less.
Similar to the sweet armour.

I just remembered the thread with metal case lineup and had forgotten about the case that is described as IKUBA. In fact, the case is exactly the same as all the Creativ Design5 cases (for Galaxy S2 at least).
I'm not sure how I missed this first time around but I feel embarrassed now.
hmm.. are there other brands of this type of aluminum bumpers? the ones that does not cover the lower part of the phone as that is where the antenna is.. the problem with metal/aluminum bumpers that covers that area is that it greatly affects signal reception.. that's what happened to me when using the akiba metal slider..
cant understand why people want to cover up this beautiful phone in a case

Your claim only makes sense but I am yet to see anyone else with this problem (at least in the threads that I've looked). And check IKUBA but that's the only case I know that doesn't cover speaker/antenna.

It's not gonna stay beautiful for long unless you protect it.
It's just a mobile phone, how long are you gonna keep it? 10 years and you want to protect it!!! The average people keep their phones for a year or two!!!

have anybody this bumper [Galaxy S2 Case]Mobi Crab Aluminium Metal Bumper Screen Protector i9100 Samsung?
It looks similar the same as the creative design5 bumper and cost the same. What are the difference between these bumpers: creative design5, mobicrab and ikuba. only the price???

Since they look exactly the same, I'm going to assume that they are and each party has just decide to stamp their brand on it. So in terms of difference, there should be none.
Hello all,
I've been searching but haven't found any thread's on this yet. If there are, sorry for the repost .
I'm looking for a case for the Note with a hand strap. So far I've only come across the Zenus Galaxy Note Masstige Stripe Print Folder Series which have it.
(Which at this time I can't post a link towards apparently .......)
Does anyone know of any other cases with one of those bands for holding? I think it would be very convenient to have a feature like this on the case. However the striped looked of this particular Zenus doesnt really do it for me ...

I have the case you are referring to; its top notch... Excellent for the Note.
But, if u dont like the look u might be out of luck. I find it attractive.

Sounds like something that would be doable to mod into other cases?
Thanks! Its good to hear that you like the case. I don't think I could easily apply the strap myself without it destroying the case ! I'm thinking of getting the zenus after all cos I haven't been able to find another with this option so far yet. Or another option for carrying comfort
Its very easy to make this strap, I made it myself.
I recently got my OP5T and I'm pretty happy with it.
However when looking at accessories on the site, the prices were kind of ridiculous. I decided to wait until the aftermarket options picked up.
I found a cheap case to use until better ones are available (i.e. Supcase) as I'm not seeing any decent aftermarket cases available.
The screen protector situation seems sketchy at the moment. I looked at a ton on AMZ and nearly all had poor reviews for incorrect fit. The only one I saw with positive reviews were $14/2 which was really high.
So I figured there would be others in the same situation and looking for a good case and screen protector. It might take a little bit for aftermarket supplies to catch up, but I wanted there to be a place for people to post and find them. If anyone found a good working screen protector, let us know. Cases as well.
I'm looking for a good screen protector. There are the ones by "Wtbone" with various sellers on amazon, I ordered some as it had almost a full five star review and found that it's too small. Then I read all the one start reviews... basically calling the five star reviews fake.
Looking at the others, they all seem to have this problem. I would love to get a good one if anyone has any recommendations.
Hello,
You could try the Nillkin's amazing H and H+ pro, premium quality, a little bit smaller than the screen on both sizes (like 0.5mm it's nothing), but they fit soooo well. (Trust me, i have tested a lots of them on amazon and dealed with incorrect fits, bubbles and fake reviews lol)
Edit : the pb is that glass screen protectors wider than the OLED screen doesn't fit cause of the small curve of the screen and full black cover, for some of thems doesn't really stick to the screen or incorrect cuts.
Pierre
I had actually already found a really good case. I found one that's almost identical to the Unicorn Beetle. I found out that Supcase won't be releasing the Unicorn Beetle for the OP5T and got this. It's very similar looking, except the front enclosure, which I didn't care for much anyways.
OnePlus 5T Case, As-Guard [Dual Layer] Heavy Duty Drop Protection Armor Hybrid Defender Shockproof Protective Case Cover For OnePlus 5T (Blue) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B078MFPWTY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_f5gvAbXP46ME7
Honestly I'm not sure we're going to get a bunch of "brand name" case options. OnePlus is releasing phones so quickly without giving the models time to breathe, and they aren't selling enough for manufacturers to justify making accessories for them. At least that's the way it's looking to me. Heck they are already ramping up for the OP6, why should they worry about a case for the 5T.
Your options are most likely going to be what they are, the cheap China stuff.
I had the same experience as Pierroxx. I tried several screen protectors (five 2D ones actually, 1 3D). So far the only 2D one that worked was the most expensive, the Nillkin brand one. The 3D one I used was the One Plus one which was also excellent, and worked well other than it won't work with most cases other than the OEM ones.
