Hi guys!
I have a Lenovo a6020a40 s105
I rooted it , flashed TWRP and finally official Lineage OS. There was this VoLTE trigger issue so I thought I'll restore my stock ROM backup.
After successfully restoring my nandroid backup, surprisingly I'm unable to use VoLTE!
Someone please help me out!
Here are the details of the device.
Seriously, nobody?
Any idea what this error is about?
I have faced a similar error when I flashed Lenovo Stock ROM using Lenovo Moto Smart Assistant, what I've done is after downloading the update I went to File Manager -> Compressed -> and then selected India.ota.zip and copied it to SD card. Now let the update process reboot the phone and as it fails I selected apply update from SD card and then chose the India.ota.zip. BE CAREFUL AS THIS ERASED ALL MY DATA AND RESET MY PHONE TO FACTORY SETTINGS. After the update completes, I was able to update my phone as usual.

Phone was originally bone stock, I then rooted & installed TWRP recovery, booted into TWRP and did the Backup option and saved it to SD Card, I then flashed CM 12.1 and used it for a little over a month, trying the various Nightly updates.
I decided to go back to the stock rom I had backed up previously, It restores successfully but when I boot the phone everything is crashing once it hits the home screen, "Unfortunately xxxx has stopped" is seen over and over, I can't load anything, even the settings menu crashes.
I then tried rebooting into TWRP and did Factory reset but when I do this It wont ever get past the Samsung logo on reboot.
Not sure what went wrong with the backup or if Im missing a step? I also tried enabling the verify MD5 check option for the Backup and it says everything is fine.
For now I'm back in CM 12.1, Any ideas appreciated!

Have you tried the wipe option.. for a clean install?
I started with unlocking bootloader using minimal ABD and fastboot. Once done my device went into bootloop. Then I download the stock frimware from sony's software called xperifirm which said that it is 15.5.A.1.5 but was 15.5.A.0.18.And wanted me to update using my laptop. tried doing that to but every time a error 12 came up.then i found someone's thread with .ftf file for 15.5.A.1.5 that to generic_IN. flashed it and then booted into it,got network working.then updated to CM13 and still it says sim card not detected.then flashed the same ftf file checked for software update and this is what i got:
Settings>about phone>bulid number:15.5.A.1.5
Update center>system::15.5.A.1.5 Ready to download 104.4MB
still downloaded it and tried to install.but, while installition when phone goes into recvery mode the screen stared blinking and the installition failed .then flashed cwm recovery and tried again but this is what comes up:
CWM-based Recovery v6.0.4.9

pls someone help me out I want cm 13 with network working (only one sim working is ok for me but two will be better)
just the same problem
Hi,
I came here looking for a solution to this same problem. I have a C2004, and I have to admit I didn't really know what I was doing, but at this point I'm sure I've followed the right steps at least once. I only followed the official wiki.
I
- unlocked the bootloader
- flashed CM13
- booted, no GApps
- installed GApps (phone unusable due to popups)
- Re-flashed CM13 and GApps before first boot, phone works beautifully but I did all my tests without the SIM, when I rebooted to insert the SIM I noticed the phone was not detecting it. Eventually I found a post detailing what the problem was: CM13 required a previous Android 4.3, but my phone was on an older version.
So I downloaded the radio firmware and the image of the stock Sony OS on 4.3:
- wiped all data
- flashed radio firmware
- restored OS backup with CWM
- booted: SIM card is detected, no idea whether dual sim works because I'm not interested on it, GPS doesn't work
- wiped all data
- flashed CM13 again, still no network.
I repeated the above process several times, always get a working stock OS (except for GPS) but never got CM13 to connect to the mobile network. So, right now I'm stuck on that Sony OS, because it even detects an OS upgrade but can't install it because CWM doesn't know how to handle the upgrade package.
I'd like to know if it is possible to get a copy of the original recovery partition, so that official upgrade can be installed.
Or, better, to get CM13 working, somehow it seems my issue is not common because everything I find on the web points to the same above steps...
After installing CM13 , Did u flash the dual sim patch?
Steps :
First install a custom recovery,
then wipe/format everything
install cm13,dual sim patch and gapps(if u need) in one go because after that your recovery will be replaced by the cyanogenmod recovery and you will have to reinstall another recovery.
I don't know where, but I read that was not needed anymore, and that idea was fixed in my head. Maybe I mixed comments about the dual patch with comments about the radio patch, I can't recall at this point.
Anyway, patching that additional zip fixed the network access for me. Let's just see if its get fixed for the OP as well
Thanks!
You need to flash a patch for enabling dual sim, without it you will get no network ... This is because the official cyanogenmod gives no support for the xperia m dual and so an extra patch has to be flashed before you can really access the sim card's network! hope this helps ! so go on flash the cm13 and then the patch and share the results!!
Hi,
I am from Bangladesh, I bought a Zenfone 2 some months ago from an local non official or affiliated store without warranty.
Recently I tried to root the phone and successfully did it via CWM Temporary Recovery.
I used Exposed Framework, Intelli3G module, greenify etc. My phone was running well except I needed to turn flight mode on and off each time after booting or restarting my phone to get network on sim 1. But it was going well until one day when there was a new OTA update available. I just had forgotten the issue of OTA update on a rooted device.
After updating my rooted device it went into bootlops. I am not so geeky so I was looking for a solution. Then I restored a previous NANDROID backup via CWM but the it was showing error after restoration when the device rebooted.
So then again I went to CWM recovery mode and FORMATTED ALL THE PARTITIONS INCLUDING EFS:crying: then I flashed some downgraded recovery.img, droidboot.img etc and updated my phone with the lattest official stock firmware via CWM
I was lucky to unbrick my phone as it started well
But the the real problem started
THERE'S NO NETWORK ON SIM 1
I reflashed my phone but it was same then I took it to a servicing store they said I have IMEI problem in my phone, the phone is now in the servicing shop, but I am here to know if any of you have the same problem and the solution.
How can I get back my IMEI while I don't have EFS backup on my Zenfone 2??
Somebody please help me

It is always a good idea to do the efs backup after you install the custom recovery.
If you do not have efs backup, some suggest to install the earliest firmware of the phone.
New to the world of Custom ROMs. A week ago I installed CM 13 which took great courage on my part and wanted to share my experience, issues and discuss possible solutions.
My phone had the latest lollipop on it. And McCafee locked. The steps that worked for me where
1) Did a factory reset and bumped into mccafee.
2) Tried download mode but kill switch was enabled.
3) Rebooted the phone to face mccafee, tried 123465 pin which worked.
4) Disengaged McCafee but not before transferring ownership to my email.
5) Tried rooting didnt work with any method.
6) Rolled back to d software version stock lollipop.
7) Rooted with PurpleDrake
8) Replaced with CM recovery didnt work.
9) Replaced with TWRP and rebooted directly to recovery
10) Installed CM and gapps mini. Worked fine. Voila!
Issues:
1) No Custom recovery sticks, whenever I flash with a custom recovery like TWRP or Clockwork. I have to reboot into recovery immediately or the custom recovery is replaced by stock. It happens on every second reboot.
My concern is here if I get stuck into bootloop and dont have a custom recovery I might not have any other option than the stock ROM which does a full reset. How can make TWRP stick forever?
2) After installation of Custom ROM there have been random reboots, I suspect there is something here with phone app or voice. So far the reboots have been when I try to call using fb messenger, appear.in and phone app itself.
Is there a guide that tells me how to track this down?
Can I install a newer Nightly and hope this get fixed?
How can I retain my apps and data when installing a newer nightly? since all guides ask to wipe everything :S
I have a backup of system and data partitions, can I use that with other ROMs.
What ROMs have a better chance of fixing this issue?
Coudnt find Stock M for D850. Why arent those available?
Should an Official ROM be more reliable than CM for this?
3) Bad signal reception so far. It may be a generic g3 issue.
Can I hope that this issue be fixed with a different ROM or updates from Cynogen?
Someone said you may have to flash the radio partition. My question is where can I get a brief understanding of what partitions there are in android and which are risky. Which ones can be replaced, backedup and replaced back.
4) Whenever the phone reboots, it gets stuck into bootloop unless I remove the SIM card. Then I power off and install SIM Card and reboot and it boots fine.
I am already tracking CM changelog for something important. Cant post urls as of now :S
So I just tried out some pie roms earlier and when I finally settled on a specific rom, i migrated my files, fixed some settings etc. And when I decided that I was done, I just wanted to transfer some backup files to and from my phone in case I'd need to revert to my prior setup. Weirdly enough, when I pressed the file transfer option on my phone, it would stop or even restart to the bootloader or recovery then I'd have to boot my phone again. I tried it a couple more times and I even lost some data. I then decided to restore a nandroid backup of my oreo rom thinking it was a rom problem but the data partition couldn't be read in bluspark twrp. So, I just did another clean flash of the pie rom (format data, decrypted and all that) and same thing except for the data loss part. Im pretty sure nothing went wrong with flashing as everything works fine on the actual rom but as soon as I select the MTP option, the phone just restarts. Now Im on the said pie rom and everything's working fine but I can't attempt to transfer any files as I'll just run into the same problem. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
