Hi, i need an android 7 rom for my galaxy s4 i9500
I'm tried resurrection remix rom or... but i want a rom like samsung ROMs and with samsung basic apps
You are in the wrong section here, this is for Galaxy Fame.
There are many Android 7 ROMs for the Galaxy S4, since it is a very wide-spreaded phone with a huge community. But all custom ROMs I know come without the Samsung stuff, because most users want to get rid of them, that's why they install custom ROM.

Can I install Galaxy Nexus android rom to Galaxy S3( I747M)?
you can only install roms on your device that are made for your device. so unless that gnex rom is specifically ported for the i747m, you best be moving along. the correct roms are in the android & original android development sections.
cheers
I am trying to get the multiple user accounts feature on this tablet, or at least a work around. I have rooted the tablet and despite having jelly bean 4.2.2, the feature isn't there. I have tried a few apps including. "switchme", which do not work. I considered putting Cyanagenmod on there but it seems it isn't available for this tablet.
Is there any way to get multiple user support for this tablet?
Sorry for posting in the galaxy 3 forum, didn't see a galaxy 3 lite forum.
inquire
have u installed cwm or any custom recovery ???
No, All I've done is rooted it.
thax
of course our tab isnt suppoorted by cyan....
anyway you required custom recovery to install any custom rom like dr. ketans rom 4 tab 3
well
Is that custom Rom or any other stable roms able to add multi user support?
please follow dr. ketan rom in android development galaxy tab 3, sm t111

hello guys,
I decided to stop waitin for official rom from samsung and will just go with custom. which rom should i try?? i want something similar to the official samsung rom with no custom additions and ofcourse stable with no problems.
I have note 2 - N7100
what would you suggest?
i'm also interested
there aren't many of them, so just start with CM and resurrection and I bet you will be surprised.
I have a n7100 note 2 and I am also looking to apply a custom ROM.
My n7100 currently runs Samsung stock ROM Android 4.4.2
I have already installed ROOT, TWRP 3.0.0.0 and taken a backup using TWRP. Also took a separate backup of the efs partition.
I want to install Resurrection Remix ROM of Android 5.1.1 - note though that this has now had development stopped. Guess they are moving on to Android 6.x
Can I pose some (technical) questions here or better for another thread?
Thanks
Hello everyone. Please forgive me but I am a super newbie in regards to rooting and terminologies. I have a Galaxy Note 8 N5100, wifi version. It has the original firmware 4.4.2 and I would like to upgrade it to Nougat 7.0. My son is having trouble playing new games on it so I theorized that it could be due to its age. Before I buy a brand new tablet I figured I would try to see if updating the N5100 would help.
I have googled and saw this link and it seems fairly easy.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2626778
Is that the correct thing to go through the process? And to update to Nougat I saw this:
http://www.android-nougat.tech/2017/03/samsung-galaxy-note-8-0-wi-fi-5253.html
Or if there is a better/easier way I would appreciate it. Thanks.
Wish I could help. I'm just getting back into this tablet myself.I'm sure someone will show up with info.

Hi! I was planning to do exactly the same thing -- upgrade my trusty Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 to Android Nougat -- and from scouring the XDA forums re this device, it seems to me that we have two popular options (based on the comments and thanks-ratings).
Here's the link to the more popular one, it's been renamed LineageOS 14.1 by the developer(s) but is based on Nougat 7.x:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...m-unofficial-lineageos-14-1-gt-n51xx-t3533329
And if for some reason you don't like the name of that one (or for any other reason, just to have an alternative), there's another popular one called RR (short for Resurrection Remix OS). It is based on Nougat 7.1.1_r25 and nightlies of LineageOS 14.1:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...t/rom-resurrection-remix-5-8-2-rel-1-t3571116
I'm about to upgrade to LineageOS now (wish me luck). The reason I'm choosing LineageOS is 'coz it seems to be more popular and is ported to more devices.
Hi I own the same device as you and I flashed the RR rom to my tablet it was really easy, you need to root your device first and then install TWRP (Team win recovery project) after that follow the instructions on the rom

If you are looking to use a more current rom with Marshmallow or Nougat, then yes you will lose touchwiz and probably most or all s-pen features. AOSP roms like Lineage and Resurrection Remix are based on stock android, but sometimes they're the only way to keep an old device current. Touchwiz roms are usually adapted from original firmware or ports from similar devices. Since this device stopped receiving updates at Kitkat, the most up-to-date touchwiz roms you'll find for the Galaxy Note 8.0 will be Kitkat.
Hello I just obtained an old Samsung Galaxy Trend 2 Lite and I am in hunt for a custom rom, this is not my primary phone and is a hands me down from my father, therefore I want to experiment with it (I do not keep any data that I care not to be erased).
So can you suggest me some Roms that work on it. Bu default comes with Android 4.4.4 version meaning it is an ancient phone but I would be glad if I can "fix" it WITHOUT some propriatery GApps.
