Well this is new to me, I'm pretty surprised by this, however there is still mtk devices in K series of they get nougat too I'm taking back everything I said about LG
P.S. please don't say that ms428/g is T-Mobile or verzion versions of K10¿
Why not for k10 430dsy?
So this might mean AOSP or LineageOS is in the works for MS428?

Alright, good to hear. I was worried because for the past two weeks only one thread has been active in the development forums.
What a good news , if this is true then nougat will come to mtk devices too.

Doubt it because k8 and K10 models Who got nougat are carrier specific models (at&t, verzion, T-Mobile), so they got it because of carrier. But it would be nice tho

Well when LG has done it for 1 or 2 variants , I doubt they won't leave others. But I don't deny that they might deliver it pretty late
will we hope get the nougat update for k10 430dsy?

Yes, that would be logic. But only reason why those variants got nougat is because they might have some kind of deal, just look LG has made a same model but different chipset because carriers demand that, Soo, we'll see, I hope everyone get nougat.
I gave @JoeMoDo the MetroPCS Nougat OTA. He is working on a deodexed, debloated ROM that can be flashed in TWRP.
i got it today on my metro lg k10 but it has a tmobile sim card.
Okay, so I have a number of questions about this. I'm actually installing this right now, but does/has anybody checked if the bootloader relocks or has new commands on the K428SG? I've been trying to get TWRP and a custom room running but i know I can't use the reCOWvery exploit anymore. In fact, I wasn't able to decline. The update just kinda provisioned and allowed itself... Need some pointers though.
MrHayman12 out (not signed in right now but I don't really care I'm just tired)
Edit: Sorry for being kinda stupid; it's about 5 minutes later and it turns out it might not have messed with the BL anyways.

So right now I'm on 10B, rooted with xPosed installed. However, I saw that the 12A update included touch improvements, and my touchscreen has been giving me issues for a while now.
Is there anywhere I could find a guide on how to update to 12A from 10B and keep root and xPosed? Or would anyone be willing to create a guide? Thanks!!
From my understanding, that is the magic question. Updating to 12a w/o the bootloader. If 12a root image flashed without 12a OTA first, result is a image mismatch. No 12a KDZ file yet.
Thats what you would need from 10b.
Back in the holding pattern.
Wait a little longer my friend. There's supposed to be a bootloader unlock coming for users on 10b still.

:highfive::fingers-crossed: If there is, that would be absolutely fantastic.. I guess I'll hold out a bit longer haha. Are there any "fixes" for the touchscreen issues right now then?
I'd like to see someone rooted on 12a post their build.prop. There were some edits before that helped the touchscreen. Maybe diffing the latest build.prop changes might help the rest of us out.

Yes there is indeed a new bootloader unlock coming out for users on 10b. It would be in your best interest to hold out until it's released and then unlock your bootloader and just flash a custom ROM when they become available.

Yeah, I realize that's pretty much one of the rules, but I'd think that if they're saying there is definitely a bootloader unlock coming soon, I'd want to know where they got that from, right?

You can use touch screen booster and it will help to decrease touch issues drastically...
Untill we get the bootloader unlocked this is really helpful. [emoji12]

I noticed the official nightlies seem to have ceased before I bought my a5_chl.
So I slowly synced the official sources, fixed a couple glitches in the device folder which stopped mka bacon (one bunk selinux context and some missing files in extract-files.sh,) and built a nice fresh copy with Virgin Mobile-friendly apns-conf.xml, north american gps.conf, and binfmt-misc activated in the kernel. Other than those specific changes this is vanilla cm_a5-userdebug.
Nothing appears to be broken and it recognizes the sim is present unlike the last nightly. The launcher app drawer looks... odd.
Any interest? I'm willing to share if you want it but can't build it yourself.

ok, resynced this morning for freshness (a few delta changes showed up)
I'll upload my device folder changes to github for full disclosure, and today's zip to androidfilehost, after giving the new build a whirl today to check for obvious bugs.
ok, it's uploaded.
Started a clean thread in dev.

it's very doubtful, I'd need one in hand, activated in service, to even begin debugging something like that.
sorry.
reports are both dwg and dug not working with dual sim.
only thing I searched up was Motorola phones need ril patched for dual sim.
didn't find anything about the htc dual sims with cm12

Unfortunately no. Hidden menu only has test and reset menu items with zvd same as zvc.
Any with ebay unlock able to get LTE speeds with zvd now?
Are you guys sure I can update without getting it locked again

I'm not sure, but i asked an ebay unlocker about ZVD and he said it's currently un-unlockable.
so be very careful.
I'd suggest turning off auto updates in developer options (setting>about phone>tap build number like 7 times)
I also called sprint about jacking up my phone. They will not unlock (even if it was previously unlocked domestic and international) if the phone was on their network less than 50 days. If the phone was on their network longer... then maybe... but no guarantees. They were extremely unhelpful. :silly:
Please elementdgp did you also unlock your phone using remote unlock from EBay.
Thats why I tell people dont update stick with the lowest possible and you normally dont have the issues.....
Are the updates more important that risking the unlockablility of your device? Thats the Question to be asked....

I tested this update (statistics and personally).
This update returns the excellent work of GPS satellites (I did not even see it at all) and DO NOT remove the unlock.
It can be put on the ZVC with unlock. It can not be put on the ZVC without an unlock or VZB. If you unlock the remotely (Octoplus) - the update is safe! I checked the axiom on 8 people + myself.
So did you unlock using remote unlock from EBay. And when you updated it didn't lock

Yes. ZVD not remove ZVC unlock (octoplus), but if unlock was not installed on early firmware (ZVB, ZVS), it will not let you install a new unlock. Octoplus not support ZVD native.
Update with unlocking ZVC - approve
Update with ZVC without remote unlock or ZVB - you can not !
This is minor update - It does not overwrite the area where the unlock is stored. But this update animates GPS satellites, if you have problems with them and improves autofocus cameras on the stock camera.
Thanks a lot
But has anyone else confirmed it
I just updated it and it didn't lock my phone

Hello, same problem here, the official website giving a bad end, so I have tried the xda tuto here : https://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/general/lg-g4-100-root-success-directives-root-t3180586 but for me it fail to the step 1, directly fail or infinite wait for the system.img backup so I haven't tried to flash...
The only ways to achieve root on a H815 SEA are
USU method steadfasterX USU unofficial bootunlock
Downgrade to Android 5.1

I have tried to downgrade to lollipo last night but my device will however stuck with the message at lg up saying "invalid command" tried other stock firmwares from the cow storage but still the same problem pop up. Lastly i use lg bridge to recover my device. Seems like all the firmwares in storage cow are incompatible with this variant.

IIRC, its recommended to stay on marshmallow when using the unlock as those who unlocked using lollipop faced lockscreen and a few other problems.

Hey, I used to know about this stuff years ago but stopped so I'm a little lost.
I bought a LG G7 Canadian version off some person (Kijiji) and the phone works fine its fast but I noticed it wasn't normal.
When i start the phone up text says "your device software cannot be checked for corruption" then the phone works normally. The launcher also has a watermark that says userdebug 7.0.6 (70000600) 329.
I've spent the whole day trying to remove it but can't find a way bc Im scared I'll brick it since its Canadian Version.
I'm able to boot the phone into recovery and stuff.
In developer options it says the OEM is unlocked But I thought it wasn't possible with the Canadian version? The person I bought it from seemed clueless about it -_-
Some things to add - The IMEI works, calls etc. There's no S/N. The phone has no "ThinQ" brand on the back but it says LG. It's currently unrooted. I think they may have done that b4 selling to me?
Im too scared to root it myself. Tbh i just want the bootup to be normal and not ugly looking and I want the watermark gone. https://elit3rising.imgur.com/all/?third_party=1
Anyone willing to help me out with this?

I reset it 5 times. It has something to do with root. I cant post this in the other section. Resetting wont fix something that has to do with Bootloader stuff
Canadian version is not unlockable so my only assumption is the phone you have is not a Canadian version and perhaps crossed flashed to canadian firmware

Yes I can fastboot. And yeah that seems more logical and extremely more confusing at the same time

I'm on same phone. Dude that sold it to me said it's Euro model but it's showing Canadian LG-G710AWM20c and I'm the opposite, I want to root/unlock/bootloader unlock but keep running into dead ends. Anyone grab the wheel and point me somewhere usefully? I've done many searches & much reading. There is a root for uwm I believe it was, it was American, can I flash their firmware the unlock with modded bootloader? I'm will to try risky stuff if it has logic. Don't care much for the phone. If I ruin it just a reason to grab Samsung Galaxy S10.
Thanks in advance.
I'm ghost 4 now.... I'll check in every
